   Xenon!

My latest fanart is up.

One thing I forgot to mention with her biography down there is that she is a motorcycle chick as well. This character has been around for a long time, so there's actually a lot of character development behind her by now. She's also lots older than she looks. Her race ages slowly.

And she would have had feet if I'd started higher on the paper. *blush* Actually, I was going to have her in a different pose, but I didn't like it so I made her standing up.

   Super-heroes and "Enhanced Individuals"

I went to see "The Incredibles" today. A fun movie. I've got to tell my brother to take our parents to it.

That leads me to my next thing... "Enhanced Individuals."

I submitted my picture today. As of the time I write this, it hasn't been posted yet. But anyhoo, a bit of background on Xenon.

Xenon is an alien running around Chicago in the early 21st century ... a few years from now. The race was something I came up with for a Star Trek: the Next Generation fanfic that I was writing. The race is large (7 to 8 foot tall), strong, and not too bright. Xenon is a freak among her own people. She's small (5 foot tall) and very intelligent. She got away from her home planet and was a member of a street gang called the Avatars on another planet for a while before pissing off her own people again. They stuck her in a stasis tube and sent her to Earth. On Earth, she became member of a group of enhanced individuals. After a couple of years as muscle for the group, she decided to start to use her brains as well as her body to strike fear into the hearts of evil-doers. She decided to get an education. She is now the team lawyer. Scary...small, beautiful, strong, intelligent, and a lawyer!

Team Name: Hel
Height: 5 foot; Weight: 97 pounds
Hair: metallic silver
Eyes: ice blue
Skin: dark blue
Facial markings: two white lines from corner of left eye toward ear. These are clan markings of her people.

There are about a gazillion other "enhanced individuals" between my brother & me. They're all part of the gaming we used to do. Our super-hero team has offices all across the world. Eventually, I'd like to draw all of the members. That could take years.

   Late night silliness!

Okay...It's official! I'm tired!

I found a couple books about Japan at my parents' house the other day. Flipping through them I found a photograph of the guy that was on Rurouni Kenshin tonight! That Aritomo Yamagata guy was a real person. The picture is of him at age 78 during World War I. I think there's also a picture of Okuba, the government guy that was assassinated which leads to the Kyoto story arc.

I watched Full Metal Alchemist. It looks like it's gonna be fun. I wasn't too terribly impressed by Ghost In the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. I read the manga, but didn't really like it all that much. Found it hard to follow at times. I was happy to see InuYasha on after GITS! And I'm always happy to see Cowboy Bebop! I just wish Trigun was still on.

Vash: *wanders in* Me too. I miss seeing me on TV!

Me: You egocentric broom head! Where's Kenshin?

Vash: Looking for his sword. He misplaced it again. Have you seen it?

Me: *hides Kenshin's sword behind back* Umm...no. *grins*

Vash: *looks at me with narrowed eyes* Are you sure?

Me: Positively! *grins even wider*

Vash: *smiles brightly* Okay! I'll go tell him you don't know where it is! Later!

   Ah...that felt good!

I stayed at home today. Didn't go to the library. Didn't go to the mall. It felt good just to stay home. I did a little studying, so Vash & Kenshin should leave me alone for now.

There's a conspiracy against my sleeping in the morning! Someone decided to call around 5:55 this morning. I didn't get out of bed, but let the machine get it. It must have been a wrong number 'cause there was nothing on the machine when I checked it later. Then a bit before 8:30 I heard a knock on the door. There was no one there when I got to the door. It was my neighbor, but she figured I must have been in bed. (I had a package for her)

Cartoon Network had a couple hours of Shaman King on this afternoon. It was fun to see the anime of it, but I wish they had left Manta as Manta and not changed his name to Morty. And the accent on Ryu/Rio was a bit silly. Otherwise, it was fun. Then I watched Danny Phantom over on Nickelodeon. Now I've got Toonami going. Nothing like several hours of cartoons to make me feel good.

I drew another picture this afternoon. It's a picture of one of my super-hero characters. Just don't call her a super-hero, she prefers "enhanced individual." When I get close to a scanner, I'll submit her and give you more of her background.

   Not again!

Yeah. It happened again. I was getting the water hot for my shower this morning when all of a sudden, there was no water!!! Yes, there was another emergency water issue in my apartment building and the water was turned off. At least I wasn't in the shower all soapy! I hadn't even stepped into it yet.

Well, thanks to the shower incident this morning, my day was really screwed up. I did manage to get my shower around 1 pm. But I was in no mood to study or anything at all after that. So... another day without studying. *sigh* I really need to get my butt in gear over the weekend then.

*hears Kenshin & Vash trying to sneak up behind me*

Me: Nice try, guys.

Vash: *hides Kenshin behind his back & tries to look innocent* What? We're not doing anything!

Me: *shakes head*

   Uh-oh...I'm in trouble now....

For those keeping score at home...

Kenshin was last seen thwacking me repeatedly in the back of the head with a practice sword...and it was all Vash's idea.

So I bound and gagged the both of them.

*sounds of two guys struggling with their bonds*

I better run and hide before they get loose. I know that they'll be after me because I didn't study at all on Thursday!

Vash: At last! I thought I'd never get out of those ropes. She ties a mean knot! Here you go, Kenshin. *unties Kenshin*

Kenshin: Thank you. There she is.... let's get her!

Me: *hears sounds of the guys getting loose* Eek! Gotta go!

   1066 and its relationship to English history

1066 - the Battle of Hastings. A very important battle in English history. Unfortunately I'm not able to go into more detail than that. I just know the year, but not the details.

   *sneaking away for a few minutes*

Okay...it's still Tuesday for me. I decided after a failed attempt to study in the library to go somewhere that I would have fewer distractions to my studying. So I drove to my parents' home over 100 miles away. I'll be here for a couple days, so I probably won't be hitting sites 'til I get back to my place. Apologies to all. Don't do anything too outrageous while I'm gone!

Oh yeah, watched Hellboy tonight. That's a fun movie! My mom even liked it.

I better run. Kenshin has the practice sword again and Vash is behind him urging him to thwack me in the back of the head again.
