Well, I did my civic doodoo, er... duty, and voted today. For all of you out there that are old enough, have you taken time out to do the same?

I must admit that I was a bit surprised to find myself in the "big city" and have to use paper ballots and fill in little circles with a special pencil. I moved down here from a town of about 1200 people and they had the electronic things where you touch the screen with a special pen. At least I didn't have to use the type that leaves chads all over the place!

Me: Oww! I'm gonna tell! Vash come here and protect me!

   Grey skies again & a tiny little rant.

Yeah. It was rainy today. All the grey and wet sort of sucked all ambition and energy out of me. I tried to study for another test, but ended up sitting on the couch with the book in my lap, trying to learn by way of osmosis through the fingertips. It didn't work. So I gave up trying to study. I'll give it another chance tomorrow.

Well...I did get some sleep. I'm still very tired. Must be because the crazy lady downstairs turned her air conditioner on again! I had a vibrating bed off & on through the night. I was actually getting used to not hearing/feeling her a/c!

Will be back tonight. Thank goodness it's the night we set clocks back an hour to end daylight savings time! Woohoo! An extra hour to do whatever.

Okay. That was different. I couldn't resist. Actually, I'm no longer grinning like that. I'm now doing this:

*yawning like someone who's been getting up at 6:30 all week, but not going to bed until midnight each night before that, and having faced two days of networking fundamentals in class*

Anyhoo... the reason for the grin: I went to the Lancers/Musketeers game tonight/Friday night. I may live in Lancer-land, but I am faithful to my Musketeers. Following is a summary of the game:

1st period: Lancers scored first. There were a couple penalties on both sides, but nothing major.

2nd period: No score. A few more penalties, but still nothing major.

3rd period: Musketeers owned this period. There were some more penalties, only one was major. That's the one that was the result of the fight that happened almost 10 minutes into the period. Musketeers scored twice. Lancers pulled the goalie. Musketeers scored an empty net goal. Lancers goalie went back in net. Action went back to the other end of the ice and the Lancers goalie was pulled again. Musketeers scored another empty net goal. Final score: Musketeers 4; Lancers 1. I got some strands of Mardi Gras beads at the game - two purple, a gold & a green. There's a guy that tosses them out at the games.

I bought an expensive marker and a couple colored pencils today. I needed decent flesh tone... especially in marker form! I just hope it doesn't bleed through the paper too horribly.

   The weekend is almost upon us!

It's Friday! It's also lunch time. Class will hopefully get out early enough that I can go do fun stuff this afternoon.

I'm sitting next to a window today. Makes it really hard to concentrate when I look outside and see how nice it is out there. Tomorrow it's supposed to be coldish again. Today's projected high is 75. Tomorrow: 58. Oh, well, it is late October, it could be worse. I won't even say how bad it could be!

Hmmm...Instructor Matt said we should be back here at 1:00. It's 1:04 on the little clock in the corner. The last I saw him, he was playing foosball in the cafeteria. ^_^

I think I better head out here. He could be showing up anytime....

   What am I doing up at this hour? I've got class tomorrow!

It is only midnight, but I'm still goofing off here. Babysitting the nephew wasn't too bad. He's 10, so he doesn't need constant attention.

I got two more pieces of fanart up. I am still experimenting with chibis. Kaoru was nice enough to pose for me this time. I'm not really all that happy with the skin color. I'm just glad I was able to even it out somewhat with CorelPaint! Otherwise, she'd look like she has a bad sunburn! Who knows, more chibis may be forthcoming! And I may go back to my colored pencils for the colors. Wolfwood was supposed to have his cross behind him, but it was not cooperating with me, so I left it out. After I finished him, I noticed that his eyes were definitely in my style that I've been using for years. So, go ahead and wander over to the fanart to take a look.
