I did very little today
Watched Pirates of the Caribbean. That was the excitement of the day. Can't go wrong with a movie that has both Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom!
Went grocery shopping after that. Ooooh...food. Food is good. Should have bought ice cream and a soda.
Tried to do some of the tutorials for my classes. Actually got through a good chunk of one of them when I decided to go to the library to look at the actual program I'm studying.
Got bored at the library and ended up checking out a bunch of graphic novels. Then went to the mall and hung out in B&N for about an hour.
That was it. Exciting, eh?

Okay... so boredom set in tonight.
I just had to change the look of my site. Once Gpetz is back up I'll try to get some animations to match the theme. In the meantime, enjoy.

I ran around like a maniac today!
I actually got things done that needed to be done today. Yay!! I don't have to worry about getting a ticket whenever I drive anywhere now because I got my license plates renewed finally. I also got an oil change on the car. That was overdue by a couple months!
I also bought some things I didn't need! Hee hee! I got Trigun Maximum #1 (well, I got that yesterday, actually) and InuYasha #9 & #10. I was gonna buy a How to Draw Manga book today, but the bookstore I was at didn't have it. I may drive across the river to Omaha and check at Westroads. Or maybe not.
Oh! Last night's Case Closed... it's so unfair that Jimmy can't stay himself! But then that would be the end of the series, wouldn't it? I think there's a lot more episodes than what's been on here.

I'm really fed up with someone in this town!
A week or so ago, someone got into my car. All that was stolen was a pink teddy bear and some fuzzy pink dice. I thought the battery on my keychain clicker thing was going bad and I didn't get the car locked. Well...I went to Target for some much needed supplies and went to the passenger side door to put the bags on the front seat...I used the clicker to unlock the car. I did notice that someone had taken a screwdriver to the keyhole on that door!!!!! There's also a scrape in the paint below the door handle. I hope whoever did it gets that screwdriver put into places on their body where screwdrivers don't usually go! Like their eyes, or up their nose, or into some other body part where it will hurt like hell but not kill them.

Look! It's the Stanley Cup!!
That's my brother on the left & me on the right. What an experience. I got to see the Holy Grail of Hockey! I got to touch it!!! I even got the autograph of the hockey player that brought it to Sioux City, Iowa! Yes, Ruslan Fedotenko of the Tampa Bay Lightning brought the Cup to Sioux City. He played for the Sioux City Musketeers in the 1998-1999 season. How cool is that?
My brother & I got to the Tyson Center (the new auditorium) between 12:30 and 1:00 to get in line to see the Cup at 2:00. We were standing there for about 2 hours when the auditorium staff came out and gave us numbered tickets and told us there was a delay and the Cup wouldn't be there until later...the doors would open at 5:00. The ticket was to guarantee our place in line when we got back later. No problem. We went over to the hotel where my brother works and sat there for a while and returned to the auditorium around 4:00. Then we stood in line outside for another hour or so before being let in the building a bit after 5:00. The Cup was still not there!!!! There was a winding line of people waiting inside. We waited there for at least another hour for the Cup to arrive. Then the line started to move! It was probably another half hour or so until we got up on the platform to see the Cup and Ruslan. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to get there because of the time limit involved. But....we were lucky enough to get onto the ramp up to the platform before they cut off the line. It was great.... one of the auditorium guys took the picture. Then we got the autograph! I wish I'd gotten a picture of Ruslan for you to see, but all I got was pictures of the back of his head. I'm waiting to see what my brother got for pictures. Hopefully his pictures turned out.

Oops. I didn't show up again last night.
Well. I apologize for not posting again last night. I just didn't get online at all after yesterday morning.
*sigh* Yesterday morning. I was so mad at those banks, that I was in tears. I fought like hell to get the check in the first place and they were all going to hold it for up to 5 days. I was thinking my weekend was shot. But my Dad came down and got me! Yay Dad! And my old bank took the check right away and let me get a cashier's check for rent and some cash to have on hand! Yay Bank!
So....here I am at my parents' house up by Sioux City. I got to see my best friend and her family yesterday! I was so happy to see her! I miss her so much and wish I could be lots closer to her. But to be closer to her would move me farther from my family.
Today (Saturday) was Augustfest in Kingsley. It's the annual business appreciation day in this little town. I bought a really nice denim shirt for $5.00 and a t-shirt for the local school! Go Panthers! Then my brother and I went to Sioux City and ran around a while and ate at Culvers. Yum. I wish there was a Culvers close to my part of the Council Bluffs/Omaha metro area.
Tomorrow is the big excitement in Sioux City! I get to see the Stanley Cup and a real NHL hockey player with it! I'm so excited! I forgot to grab my Musketeers jersey though. I hope my digital camera will work so I can get pictures right away. Otherwise, I'll have to have my brother email me the ones from his camera.
Well, got lots of other stuff to do now.

I hate corporate attitudes
Whatever happened to trust? I got my check today, but the banks down here have to hold it until it clears. I really want to injure the person that screwed this all up in the first place.
+_+_+_+_+
I'll be back later tonight.
