   I didn't do what I planned for today

Well...not all of what I had planned. I was going to spend the morning working on my picture. I did get a little bit done on it, but my sister and nephew showed up and I ended up running around with them all afternoon. We turned my nephew into a little goth boy. He's ten, so we got lots of stares at the mall when we got the white face powder and black lipstick on him. She even bought black hair dye so they can get his hair really black for the first day of school.

I was going to go to the library. Never made it there. Maybe tomorrow on the way back from class...or maybe not.

I did manage to make it down to Office Max to look at printers. I'm probably going to get a printer when I get my school money. I should get my computer looked at when I get that money, too. The beast needs to be updated....bad! It's running Windows 95!!!!

And I did manage to get to the grocery store to get some food. Yay. Food is good. But not in great quantities eaten at once.

Well.. that's about it. I'll run around looking at sites now. Then will probably work on my picture some more. I know I said I'd get it done this weekend, but with as busy as I was yesterday, it may not happen.

   My sister's bad movie experience.

My sister won tickets to the Yu-Gi-Oh movie over at the Douglas Cinema Center in Omaha. She got over there with her son for the movie. They asked if she had any cameras. She carries a digital camera around all the time. They made her put it in her car. She said she was ready to tell them where to put their little metal detector thingy by the time they were done with her.

As for the movie... Her kid liked it. She was not impressed. But hey, she's not in the demographic it's aimed at!

She's not going back to that theater.

   I went outside today!!!!

I had fun today! My brother came down from up by Sioux City and we ran around all day. I made him buy me gas so we could drive around. This is what we did:

1. Went to the library. I had a bunch of books to take back and a movie on hold.

2. Went to the mall. We took a turn around it and then left because there was too many people there. Iowa was having its annual tax-free weekend. No sales tax on clothes, so everyone and their dog were there.

3. Ate lunch at Long John Silvers. Yummy.

4. Went over to Omaha to the Durham Western Heritage Museum. Decided not to go because it cost too much. Then I drove him past the only privately owned park in Omaha. It's downtown and has a really pretty fountain and sculpture of geese flying.

5. Went to the Western Trails Center and walked around outside for a while. We had fun chasing butterflies around trying to see what colors and markings they were. Some of the butterflies were tiny and fast!

6. Drove over the South Omaha Bridge. I told him I was going to take him somewhere that would make him glad I was driving. He doesn't like heights very much and it's a high bridge over the Missouri River. It's a long bridge, too! He was fascinated by it.

7. Hit the mall again and got my copy of Shonen Jump. Yay! Hit the grocery store for a pizza and some soda.

8. Back to the apartment for eats and watched "Fifth Element." Such a fun movie.

Well. That was my day. Lots of fun! And I'm tired from the walk at the Western Trails Center.

Well, I spent another 3 hours on my picture today. It's really starting to begin to look like something. Basically, all I have left is four major items and it will be done! The rate I'm going, I should have it up sometime this weekend.

I can't believe no one made a guess as to what the picture is going to be. Oh, well, I guess you all want to be surprised. *grins*

Well....time to run around checking out other sites. I may post later if anything exciting happens. Or even if nothing exciting happens.

   Still not much going on.

Well...my thrill-a-minute life is still the same. I actually left the apartment again today. I walked down to the complex office to pick up a fax and to send one again. Wheee. Maybe everything will be straightened out finally. There was a mixup in the paperwork for the loan I got for school. It has been the cause of a night of lost sleep and probably contributed to the headache that I had for days.

I fixed the little picture of Vash up there. Part of the tag for him got deleted. That's why he wasn't there. It just wasn't right without Vash up there!

I started work on another picture on the computer last night. So far I've spent about 5 hours on it. I may put up a website that shows the pieces my pictures are in when I work on them. If I was really skillful with this thing, I'd do some screenshots for you guys. But as I sometimes get confused as to how to do that, I won't do it. If I had a more powerful computer... Hmmmm....

Oh... the picture isn't Vash for a change. Who is it? You'll either have to guess or wait to see it. *evil grin*

I am also toying with another picture that will actually be drawn. With a pencil, even.

   Slightly bored and a bit hungry.

I'm slightly bored tonight. Can't motivate myself to do much of anything. I was going to post about last night's storm, wasn't I?

Well. It rained. A lot. And there was lots of thunder, lightning and wind. Hmm.. the Three Storms. Cool. I don't know if there was any hail here. It was a bit hard to see out the window. It was very dark out before sunset. That...and I was without power for three hours. I did get some writing done and worked on my Greek for the first time in months.

I really want some ice cream, but will probably end up with popcorn. It's getting kind of late, I have hardly any gas in the car, and I have a headache.

Can someone tell me what happened on InuYasha last night? Between the power outage and having to get some sleep because of class today, I missed it. Thanks!
