   Hey! It's still the 30th for me!

I was hoping to get this posted while the site still thought it was the 30th, but it wasn't meant to be.

It was one of those days that left me with a bit of a headache. I still didn't get my loan check in the mail. Something got screwed up on the paperwork. So, I'm gonna be late with rent again. And I'm gonna be late with getting the plates renewed on my car. Crap.

Other than that, not much happened. I watched a couple really good old movies today. Being unemployed gives me lots of time to watch movies. I get them from the library. I went through every Alfred Hitchcock movie (except one, which someone else has out right not) they have. Now I'm watching the Jeff Corwin Experience on Animal Planet. He's so funny... and kind of cute.

Dang. No anime tonight. It's Friday. *sigh* I could watch my Trigun DVD....again....for the 2nd time in as many days. Ah... I don't know. I'll think of something to do.

   I'm a little more awake now.

I figured out why I fell asleep during MIB. I took some sinus medicine this morning. I was tired in the first place, and it added to the tired feeling. So, out I went....face first on the floor with the laptop on. I was playing solitaire.

Still haven't got my loan check. I need money! I have to renew my license plates on my car! It was due in June, but I have to the end of July to do it before getting in trouble. If it isn't here tomorrow, I could get ticketed for expired tags on my car! NO NO NO! I've never had a ticket before.... well, I did have one in Sioux Falls, but that was my nephew's fault. He parked the car the wrong way on the street. (I had sold him the car a day or two earlier) My brother made him pay it. Also... I need money for rent.

I'm watching Jurassic Park. The first one is still the best. The second one wasn't that good. I never even bothered with the third one. I wonder where my videotape of this movie is...I don't remember seeing it in the bunch that's on the shelf on the other side of the room.... Hmmmmm.....

   Sooooo tired.

Okay. I slept almost to 11:00 this morning! Why did I fall asleep while watching Men In Black at 1:30 this afternoon? I missed the whole ending of the movie!

   Word to the wise

WARNING: Computer Geek Rant Ahead!

Do not attempt to defragment your computer's hard drive at 11:30 p.m.! It is now 2:25 a.m. I finally stopped it. It would work through it 1% at a time and then give message that the drive's contents had changed and start over. Really tedious when you hit 92% defragmented and it won't get any farther than that.

I'm going to bed!

New cartoons on Adult Swim. Here's what I could find for them on the website. (All times Eastern)

Saturdays
11:00 - Venture Brothers
11:30 - Futurama
12:00 - InuYasha
12:30 - Wolf's Rain
1:00 - Cowboy Bebop
1:30 - Trigun

Weekdays seem to be unchanged.

As for Stroker & Hoop. They're showing the pilot episode on August 1st at 11:30. Then it won't be on until sometime in 2005.

Seems we may have hope yet for it not to be seen! Long Live Anime!!!!

   Okay... I know I said the last one was the last post for a while....

...but I just couldn't pass this up. I just saw another commercial for the new Adult Swim cartoon "Stroker & Hoop." And my reaction is this:

   I'm surrounded by baka!

Leaving the mall this evening (still Tuesday) I was going the correct direction according to the lines on the parking lot... this woman (with really bad hair) in a convertible comes right at me and gives me this look of "How dare you make me wait for you!" Lady!!! I was going the RIGHT WAY!!!!

Then I get out to the little road that leads away from the mall. Okay, there's two lanes each direction. I'm in the correct lane to turn so I can go home. There's a silver car in the other lane just a bit ahead of me. We approach the stop sign by the turn. He pulls into the lane in front of me to make the same turn I want to make.

All right... there's one more to go. I get up to the next turn to head home and wait for a pickup to go by. He cruises on by...no problem. Then as he's going through an intersection, suddenly there's a bunch of firecrackers in the street. Now, I didn't see the passenger toss them out, but they probably did. I swerve to avoid running over a string of exploding firecrackers. Next intersection, pickup moves to left lane to make turn.... and then changes his mind just as I'm pulling up to the intersection and cuts in front of me. I was so happy to see him sail past the drive to my apartment's parking lot.

What is with people? It's not the Full Moon yet. That isn't until Saturday. Baka. All baka!

   Rude awakening or the maintenance guys hate me.

Okay... I was all snug and cozy in my bed this morning when maintenance decided to do about an hour of non-stop weed-wacking right below my window. Then there was the jet that went over.... I was waiting for the bump of the tires on the roof!!! I tried not to let it get to me, but I finally surrendered and actually got out of bed when the alarm went off.
