Warning: Rant ahead.... LONG rant!
Adult Swim & Cartoon Network are starting to make me concerned.
There's been commercials for a couple new shows: Stroker & Hoop and the Venture Bros. Both of them look like crap, in my opinion. I have this horrible feeling that the schedule is going to be rearranged again for the beginning of August. And I have another horrible feeling that it's going to be filled with junk.
There's also been commercials for the "best" of Family Guy. The guy is supposed to be the creator of the cartoon. Why do I want to beat him senseless? He's got such a smug expression, I want to smack him! I'm sorry. I've never liked Family Guy. The show has never appealed to me. Nothing about it at all has ever induced me to want to go out of my way to watch it.
I read one of the posts on that website Ozy J. Jones had talked about one time: www.savebigo.com. It said that anime is being phased out of Adult Swim and that Cartoon Network is of the opinion that all adults like to have short cartoons like Sealab 2021 & Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and so on. I'll admit it, I like Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I tried to watch Sealab 2021 and thought it to be awful and stupid. So "adult" in Cartoon Network's dictionary means "short attention span" and "juvenile humor." I'm sorry. I'm an adult and I find that I can keep my attention on things a lot longer than 15 minutes or so. Hey, I'm the one that did a LOTR marathon one night, remember? I'd rather have a running story line like in many of the anime that are currently being run.
Okay... I could go on here, but I should go to bed now. This may all have been brought on by a lack of sleep, but I doubt that highly.

Time to leave
I'm hanging out in the library again. Was checking out everyone's sites. However....some lady across from me is fighting with her toddler. Too distracting. She's spanked the girl twice now....
Will be back tonight after working on my class.
Great...the kid is crying/whining now.... They left, but I can still hear the mom scolding the child. Come on lady!!!! She's just 4 or 5 years old! She's more important than the stupid computer!!!!
Later, y'all!

Posted another one.
I went through my assignment and picked the one that I liked best. It's just a pencil drawing. I didn't get it inked before scanning. I haven't got the "grades" back on it yet. I hope you all like it.

I have to stop thinking so much.
I came up with a couple things that could be defined as ironic:
1. Peace rallies turning violent.
2. The Cradle of Civilization being the site of so much discord, hatred, war, death, etc.
(The Cradle of Civilization is located in present day Iraq.)

It's official! I are a student now!
Yep...went over to the place I'll be taking classes through today and got the stuff going for my certification! The first two courses I'll be doing online. Wheee!!!! I'm gonna learn all sorts of stuff about Windows XP that I never knew before...or really cared to know about. *wink wink* Then, once I get through those two courses, I get to learn Word 2000, Excel 2000, Power Point 2000, Outlook 2000, and Access 2000. And that's just the beginning!!!! With any luck, I'll have all of that done by the middle of October. That would be two certificates out of the way.
I should be working on the first part of my WinXP stuff....but it's the last half hour or so of the first Harry Potter movie and almost time to figure out something for supper. Plus...I gotta empty the dishwasher. *sigh*
Will check things out later...probably while watching InuYasha & Case Closed. Laters, y'all!

Bored. Bored. Bored.
I should not be online. I'm so bored. The only thing keeping me going right now is InuYasha on TV. (It's still Tuesday, despite what this thing says.) InuYasha and helping a friend with a puzzle on the other community I'm part of. He's not getting my hints at all. *sigh*

The Bebop-Smallberries connection. a/k/a I'm not nuts!
Okay...I admit it. Last night I was a bit tired and didn't think of doing this: Why not plug "Cowboy Bebop" and "John Smallberries" into Google? Lo and behold! I found this:
Name: Robert D. Papenbrook
Alias: John Smallberries*
There was also a list of lots of things he's done voices for! He's done lots of stuff. Look him up by either name in the Internet Movie Database and you'll find lots. I was amazed...and relieved to find that my insanity was not causing me to see the names of Red Lectroids in the credits of Cowboy Bebop.
As for trying to sing along to the Real Folk Blues with the subtitles. If they hadn't sped up the credits, you'd be able to do it. But in the rush to get the show over so they can run more ads, Cartoon Network runs the credits way fast and left the song alone. Bummer.
More on Red Lectroids later...if I can get clearance from the Banzai Institute to tell you.
