   Am I nuts?

Okay...watching the faster than light speed credits at the end of Cowboy Bebop the other night I swear I saw the name "John Smallberries" in the list of voices for the English version.

There's a Red Lectroid doing voices for Bebop?!?!?!

   Movies! Movies! Movies!

I pulled out a video tape I've had for ages and watched all the movies on it today. In order, they were:

1. "Dead Again" with Kenneth Brannagh and Emma Thompson. Very good thriller type movie that makes me hold my breath at the end no matter how many times I've seen it. And for those wondering who the leads are... Kenneth Brannagh played Professor Lockhart in the 2nd Harry Potter movie and Emma Thompson was Professor Trelawney in the 3rd one. They were married to each other when "Dead Again" was made. They aren't married anymore. :(

2. The Addams Family with Raul Julia. Funny funny movie. That's where my quote up above is from... the one about human spirit.

3. Batman Returns with Michael Keaton. Classic stuff. I still think Keaton was the best Batman out of that series of movies. Val Kilmer was horrible. And George Clooney had too much ego for the role. I am curious about the new Batman movie... when is it out? Can't remember.

Anyhoo.... great quotes from "Batman Returns"

The Penguin: I believe the word you are looking for is "Aaahh"!

Maximillian 'Max' Shreck: Bruce Wayne? Why are you dressed like Batman?
Catwoman: Because he is Batman, you moron.

   Well... here it is.

I don't think it was deemed good enough for the fanart section. No big loss. Here you go....my Vash Doodle. This is what happens when one is sitting in a truly boring "career seminar" for something that would require me to be someone I'm not. Enjoy. Laugh.

   Wow! That was fast

One of my new art submissions is up already. The one of me.

I do look sort of like that. Only older and heavier. My hair would do that at the bottom if I got it cut and actually took the time to do something with it. My bangs do that without me even trying to make them do that. And the hockey jersey...yes, I love that shirt. It looks a lot worse in real life because it's been used...in real hockey games. There's all sorts of holes in it and it's not really white anymore. The logo is the original Puckman for the Sioux City Musketeers. At least, I consider him the original. They don't use him for a logo anymore. There's also a quarter tied into the back just under the number. *sigh* Is it hockey season yet?

Okay. I submitted a couple more things

Well. Due to popular demand, the chibi Vash has been submitted. Don't blink people, you might miss it! The other is a self-portrait I whipped out the other night while watching/ignoring InuYasha and Case Closed. I was paying more attention to the drawing than the shows. Now we wait and see when they show up. Laters!

   Fireworks!!!!!!!

Wow!!! That has got to be one of the best fireworks displays I've ever seen!!! It was only 12 minutes long, but what it lacked in duration, it made up for in quantity. I don't think I've ever seen so much fireworks at one time. The colors, the shapes, the size! Oh man....I wish all of you outside the Council Bluffs/Omaha area could have seen it. Amazing!

Hopefully there will be a website up soon with pictures. I'd make my own, but my digital camera is not good. :(

   Oops! Forgot this.

There is something exciting today. It hasn't happened yet. This weekend Omaha is celebrating its 150th birthday. There's a fireworks display over the river. I'm gonna watch from the Council Bluffs side. I just gotta see if my sister wants to go with me. Her husband is dragging his feet. Well... I may be back later tonight to let you know how it was.

What an exciting life I lead.

Nothing exciting has happened today. I went to the library and checked out a bunch of brand new graphic novels and a couple movies. Then went to the grocery store for milk and a few other things. Came home for lunch and played solitaire on the beast for an hour and a half. Then I started to work on the pictures again. Didn't get them done because my sister came over and we ended up at the mall. I did get one of them done after she dropped me off at home. Ate supper and have been watching TV since then. I think I've watched enough of Law & Order: SVU. Can be a bit disturbing after a while.

   Well... now what?

I think I'm going to go draw again. I drew myself in manga form last night. Of course, I look lots younger and thinner than I actually am! Ha ha! If it were only that easy. I still have two head shots of Vash to finish for my assignment. I am having issues with how these last two are turning out each time I try them. I think I must have been out of my mind at the time I chose Vash for the subject of the exercise.

+_+_+_+_+_+

I watched "Spirited Away" today. Such a good movie! I admit it, I cried. I may have to put it on my list of DVDs that I want to own. And, like my brother said, it may be worthwhile to look into more stuff by Miyazaki.

+_+_+_+_+_+

Oooh... South Park! Gotta watch! My favorite of the kids: Kyle! I can't explain exactly why. Maybe because he's one of the more stable ones of the bunch. Whatever! Go Kyle!!

   All right... here it is.

I've been keeping you all in suspense long enough. With any luck, next week I am going to start working toward certification in web design and programming. The past few days have been rather... rather... ugh, can't think of the word. Well, frustrating comes to mind, but isn't quite right. A lot of soul searching was done. Lots of pondering about the cost involved. And some major decisions were made. I'm risking a lot by doing this, but I'm optimistic that in the next 6 to 9 months, I'll be working a job that I will enjoy and it won't make me physically ill just thinking about it. So...wish me luck, everyone! I'm gonna need it.
