Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
Well... my interview went. I don't know how well it went. I never can tell how interviews go. When I think I did okay, I actually don't. Ugh.... I don't know if I really want to do what this was for or not. Could be interesting, could be boring. Well, I do have two more tomorrow. One of them is more something I'd like to do with myself.
+_+_+_+_+_+_+
And now I'm in one of those weird moods where I want to do something, but have no clue what it is that I want to do. I do want to go to the zoo, but with no money, that won't be happening anytime soon. Also...it's too freakin' hot out to go to the zoo!! I suppose I could draw.

OMG!!! I didn't post anything yesterday!
That's how thrilling my day was! I didn't sleep well the night before, so I slept in until around 10. Went to the library to look up some stuff about my doll. Found a little bit, but didn't check anything out. Then I went home and decided to draw. I didn't do any drawing. *sigh* I ended up watching my Trigun DVD instead. Did the Japanese w/subtitles version, so I had to watch. I don't understand that much Japanese! Anyways. In the middle of it, my sister & nephew came over to bring me some flowers. The card was from the nephew. *grins* He's a pain in the butt sometimes, but can really be a giving child.
Well...I'll be back this evening. I've got an interview this afternoon.... and two tomorrow!!!!
+_+_+_+_+
Time for today's giggle fit: I'm watching Austin Pouwers:
Goldmember. The subtitles for the Japanese guy are hilarious!!! At least this is going to put me in a good mood for the interview.
Laters, y'all!

Antique Dolls, Spiderman & Bruce Campbell
Well, my brother came down yesterday. We went to the Antiques Roadshow in Omaha today. It was a lot of fun. I took two antique dolls. Unfortunately the appraiser looked like he was incredibly bored with the whole thing. He barely looked at the dolls. All he had to say about the little one was that it was in bad shape. Well, duh! It was my grandmother's doll! If she was still alive, she'd be 106! The big doll, he dated to be about 100 years old. But I think it's older than that. It was given to my Mom by a lady in her 70s way back in either 1936 or 1938. It may have been the lady's doll when she was a girl. He did tell me the maker. But like I said, he looked really bored with the whole thing. My brother brought down a sword and a flask that looks like a pretzel. The pretzel is maybe 80 to 100 years old and was probably made in Germany. The sword, however, was the thing that surprised us. The appraiser for that was really excited by the bullet that is still lodged in the hilt. He said that's what makes it really interesting. He said it was probably made in Germany, also. He said it is a Model 1840 "Wristbreaker." That had a value of maybe $350. The scabbard, which doesn't exactly fit the sword, he put a value of about $200. Coolness! The dolls together were about $230. And the pretzel was about $100 to $120. All in all it was fun. This is the big doll I took.

Last night we went to see Spiderman 2. Oh wow! I liked it much better than the first one!!!! The elevator scene is hilarious. I'd like to see it again. And for those of you who've seen it: did you spot Stan Lee? How about Bruce Campbell & "the Classic"? Ah... Bruce Campbell... I could have met the guy at B&N in Sioux Falls a couple years ago, but I had prior commitments that weekend. My oldest brother did get his book autographed for me!!!! It says, "Hey Anna --- Come get some!" along with his autograph. *sigh*

Good grief! I sure babbled here!

Early appearance & antique dolls
It's a rare early afternoon appearance for me. I decided not to go to the library today. Could be because I slept until almost 10 this morning!!! I thought it would be more interesting to vacuum the apartment this morning. Big whoop.
Anyhoo...the other reason I decided to hang out at home today is that my brother is coming down this afternoon. I got tickets for the Antiques Roadshow tomorrow. I don't know what he's bringing, but I have two antique dolls that I'm gonna take. I want to know more about them. One I know is over 100 years old. A lady gave her to my Mom when she was about 6 or 8 years old. Mom's almost 74 now. The other was my Grandma's. If she was still alive, she'd be 106 years old, but she died in 1970 when I was 5 years old. I barely remember her. I don't really care about value on them, it's more an information gathering mission for me. I'll let you know what I find out about them. Maybe I'll put pictures of them up on my website.
Otherwise, have a great weekend everyone! I may not be back until tomorrow night.

What I do when slightly bored.
I like to watch the number of members increase as I go from my backroom to other people's Otaku sites and back. Last night when I started, there were exactly 35,000 members. Since then, something like 125 people have signed up. Cool, huh?
Time for ice cream. Maybe that will take care of this headache. Yes... I still have a bit of a headache! Grrrr

Argh... my head
Stupid headache that won't go away. Why won't it rain and give me some relief?
I'm fighting with the baka computers at the library again. I should be working on the job search, but my head hurts too much to put any effort into that! So I've been hanging out here checking out people's sites. Much more interesting than yahoo hotjobs or careers.whatever.something...
I may have another interview coming up if I can just get together with the person that left a message on my machine this morning. *sigh* I hate phone tag.

Yarrr!!!
Random quote of the moment:
Mr. Gibbs: Then, on the fourth day, he roped himself a couple of sea turtles, lashed 'em together and made a raft.
Will Turner: He roped a couple of sea turtles.
Mr. Gibbs: Aye. Sea turtles.
Will Turner: What did he use for rope?
Jack Sparrow: [from beside them] Human hair. [pause] From my back.
Oh, man... I want to see that movie again.

For a little while at least.
My fanart has been posted.
I have some sort of an interview on Tuesday.
It's been raining off & on all day, so it's not been hot.
I have ice cream in the freezer.

Yabbo!!! They're up!
Hey! My fan art is up! Go check it out, please!
*dances around excitedly while saying "yabbo!" over & over*
Oh...it's just a nonsense word I've been using for years to express emotions. It's pronounced "yah-bo." *grins*
