   What an absolutely nothing day!

Yes. Today I did dang near nothing! I slept almost until 10. Then spent the rest of the morning reading manga!!! I read volumes 4, 5, & 6 of Jing, the King of Bandits. Fun stuff. Then I went to Taco Hell and got a grilled stuffed burrito combo meal to go and sat in Bayliss Park to eat it. Yummy. Then I hit the library for a while to take Jing back and get another volume of RaveMaster. I've read the first two of that one. I like it!!! Lots!!!

I should work on my drawing for my manga assignment. I did part of it last night. Let me tell ya, Yusuke looks like he's got mumps or something! I'd post them for y'all, but I don't have a scanner. I gotta go over to my sister's house to do that. Will wait until all of it is done before using her scanner.

And on a different note... this quiz was fun:

HASH(0x8addfdc)
Severus Snape, Potions.

   I'm still feeling the pain

I had fun this morning. I had just taken my last bite of cereal (sugar coated air! my favorite) when the phone rang. It was my sister asking if I was conscious yet. I told her I wasn't sure. ;) Anyhoo....she was on her way to the mall with her kid to hit the arcade for a while. I told her to give me a chance to get dressed & I'd go with them. So... we spent about and hour and a half playing games. The best part was the guy working there put a bunch of tokens in some of the games. So I got to play SoulCaliber 2 for free!!! I've never played the game before, but I was kicking ass & taking names. Made it all the way to the last stage against the big demon guy that's on fire. I lost to him of course. But it was fun!!!!! But my right wrist is still hurting from pounding the buttons.

My poor wrists. When I was five, I broke my right wrist. When I was fifteen, I ripped ligaments in my left wrist. When I was twenty-three, I sprained my right wrist. I can't do pushups very well.

Anyhoo... It was a fun day with my sister and her kid. Now I'm home and watching an Alfred Hitchcock movie. The exciting part is coming up now... gotta go!

   What is with some people?

I went to the library the other day and noticed signs on the restroom doors telling people to go to the reference desk to get a key to get into them. Okay... so someone vandalized the bathrooms. I was at the library today and needed to use the restroom myself. I stopped at the reference desk and asked if the restrooms were still locked. The librarian said, "Yes, and they're going to stay locked. Someone stole the keys." No lie! Someone STOLE the keys to the restrooms! The librarian even showed me one of the keychains. The person actually took the key off of the keyring!!! I'm already a bit fed up with the lowlife idiot that STOLE a few books that I'd like to check out myself. But stealing bathroom keys?!?!?!? What the heck? I don't know....

   Just testing

I created my own smileys!

+_+_+_+_+_+

Okay. I've been having some issues with this stupid computer showing pictures. Let me know if the smiley worked or if it's just a little white box with the red X in it.

This is nice. I like clouds.

World of Clouds
Air, wind, atmosphere... you are a cloud dweller.
You are friendly to all, but often appear
disinterested and lost in your thoughts,
meaning most people don't really know your full
potential.

   Mysterious noise update

Well, I still haven't figured out what those booms are that I've been hearing. I haven't heard any after dark the past couple days, but I did hear one in the middle of the afternoon.

Okay...just heard one now. I did see some fireworks with that one. But the noise wasn't near as loud as the other ones.

The mystery continues....

I don't know what to think.

Should I be really insulted or really disappointed? I had an interview/testing session with a job placement agency yesterday. I passed all their tests and qualified for their services. They called me this morning and said my qualifications don't fit any of the requirements for any of the jobs that they had and that I should continue my job search elsewhere! I got dissed by a job placement agency!!!! I can't believe it!

Okay... this is freaking me out

Between 10:15 and 10:30 pm on the 23rd (which for me, it still is) there were three booms like someone shooting large fireworks or something!!! My sister heard it earlier in the evening too. I was woke up by one the other day! It seems to be coming from somewhere east of my apartment. It's starting to freak me out!!!!!!

   Just to clear things up

Yesterday's post about Dad doing the Chicken Dance: I should have pointed out that it's a work of fiction. Really weird fiction. I don't think my Dad even knows how to do it. I don't have a ten year old brother. My brothers are both older than me. My oldest brother, however, does know how to do the Chicken Dance. I have never seen anyone jump up so fast to do it as the time I was at Fiesta Texas with him and we were in the German section. It's one of the things that freaks me out about my oldest brother. I do have a ten year old nephew and he hates the Chicken Dance. He refuses to get into the fun at the hockey games when it's played. Our local hockey team's mascot is a chicken. How a chicken relates to a knight or Lancer I haven't a clue. Anyways.... I hope this cleared up some confusion.

   More writing (really bizarre)

A couple years ago, I got a book called "A Writer's Book of Days." It's got a topic/starter for each day of the year. It's really cool, however I have been really bad about writing each night since things went to hell on me in the middle of March. Here's something from last year:

"Some things you'll never forget," my brother said one night. "No, sir. There are just some things out there that make such an indelible impression on none's brain that no matter how hard they try, they'll just never be able to forget it."

"What are you talking about?" Mom asked. She was the first of us to question what he was on about.

My brother sat back in his chair and got this slightly philosophical look in his eye. "What I'm talking about is how certain things or events can be forever engraved in one's memory. I mean, there's something out there that has burrowed into my mind in such a manner that I am going to remember it until my dying day."

"What could it be? It can't be much, considering you're only 10 years old and haven't experienced much."

My brother looked at Mom and said, "Chicken dance." Then we all understood exactly what he meant as Dad wandered through the room flapping his arms and singing....
