   Got over part of my mental block.

Well, I got over a little bit of my mental block when it comes to creativity. I managed to pound out a picture last night. Well, actually early Thursday morning.

I got home from work a little after midnight as usual, and realized I was going to enter a contest over on deviantArt. The deadline for the contest was May 1st. Thursday! So, I managed to get the black & white raw sketch done by 3:00 a.m.! I spent a good chunk of Thursday afternoon doing the colors.

The theme of the contest was: I'm the Noisy Reaper. We were to draw ourselves as a reaper, as in the Grim Reaper. Well, I did my best and ended up being the only person to enter the contest. I bust my arse to get it done for by the deadline just to find out that I was the only one. *sigh* I don't know what, if any, prize I'll get. I don't really care. I just had fun doing it!

Well, I did play around with my digital camera the other night and did some video recording. I have about a minute or so of me trying to get my cat to do something. My camera has a microphone in it, so there's sound for it. So, my sideways video of my cat has a soundtrack... of what was on TV at the time! I think it was a show about earthquakes. Doesn't fit in with the cat at all.

Since the computer is being a poop tonight, I will be going now. I have to work all weekend as usual. I'm so sick of having to ask for weekend nights off. Arrgh.

   I think the caffeine is kicking in....

I had a 20 oz. bottle of Coke and a can of Coke tonight. I think I may be getting wired now.

Whee!!!

Not a good thing to have a caffeine buzz this time of night. I won't get to sleep once I get home.

I'm feeling a bit frustrated right now. I haven't been able to draw, write or anything lately. I don't know what the problem is. I don't think I feel stressed out by anything. I just seem to be in a huge slump when it comes to doing something that requires thinking. My attempts to learn Japanese have become exercises in futility. I get nowhere on any of it, it seems. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do to get motivated again?

Oh, well... time to find something interesting to do. Like crack open the Japanese textbook next to me and start into it. I searched through several boxes in the attic and basement to find the damn thing, I should at least try to do something with it, right?

   I'm hungry!!!

I guess that's probably a result of having pretty much skipped lunch today. I just didn't feel like eating anything for lunch today. I had a piece of cheese and some yogurt. That's all. By the time supper rolled around, I was pretty hungry. Had a goodly amount of spaghetti. Now it's almost 10:30 pm and I'm hungry again. *sigh*

Well, the last of three days off is coming to a close. It sucks. I am seriously not looking forward to going to work tomorrow. We're overbooked! Fortunately, one of the other girls is coming in to work with me so I won't be stuck with the psycho all night by myself. I just wish I had someone coming in to work with me on Saturday, but I don't, so Saturday will really suck. I need a different job. Any offers?

So... what did I accomplish on my days off? My Do List for the three days was a little longer than the one I did for last week. I didn't get all of it done. A few of them were avoided. I don't know why, but recently I find it hard to get motivated to write or draw. It's really sad. I think my problems with work have caused me to get easily frustrated with myself and things I normally do. I think I have to do some serious thinking about priorities again. *sigh*

That's about it for me tonight. I think I'll go get a frozen fruit bar and eat that.

   Ummm... Hi?

Well, another day off has almost come to a close. It was really nice outside again. I worked at my Japanese half-heartedly this afternoon for a while until I got incredibly frustrated and couldn't stop yawning. Then I walked down to the post office. That didn't entirely wake me up at all, even though the wind was really strong and I got sand-blasted a couple times. Then my brother woke up and we took a walk around town for a while before supper.

So, now I am here, playing around online and wondering what to do next. I'm glad people enjoyed my picture of the Walgreens sign. It was actually a really nice day out Saturday. The temperature was probably in the mid to upper 60s. I just found the sign hilarious and was really happy that I keep my digital camera in my purse.

Well, that's about it for me tonight. One more day off left and then back to heck. Argh.

   Cloudy outside. Gloomy inside.

It's absolutely hilarious.... The little psycho is mad at me. I commented to the manager how the first hour of the psycho's shift the other night was spent doing nothing but complaining non-stop about one of the other people that work here. The other girl happens to be the manager's daughter and was also in the office when I made the comment. It was great. They had a big discussion and he denied everything. I don't know exactly what she told him, but he's not been talking to me at all tonight. It's really sad when you think about it. He's 47 years old and is acting like a 5 year old. However, in a way, it's really quite nice having him be quiet like this. For the first time in ages, I don't have the sudden urge to fold him in half and stuff him in a box.

As for the gloomy inside... my allergies have kicked in! Hooray! I've had a headache since Friday and it won't go away. I need to get some sleep!!! Fortunately I have the next three days off and can catch up on sleep and all sorts of other stuff.

   Here come the drums!

Well, here's a rare daytime appearance of me! I've got today off and have been goofing off online all afternoon. Actually, there's a reason I'm online this early in the day: I have to be to work at 7:00 am tomorrow.

Now, I can hear you ask what that has to do with being online in the afternoon. Well, I usually work from 3:00 in the afternoon until 11:00 at night, and am therefore used to being up until after 2:00 in the morning and sleeping until 10:00 or 10:30 the next morning. It is not going to be easy getting to sleep about four hours earlier than I'm used to!

So, this is what I did to try to be tired by 10:00 tonight. I stayed up as late as I could last night. I made it to about 4:15 am. Then I got up around 9:30. I may actually have fallen out of bed trying to get to my dresser to get at the little alarm clock over there. Fortunately my bed is a futon and is only about a foot off the floor, if that much. I may be yawning during the day, but I will not allow myself a nap!!!

Well, not much is going on today. It's raining. I hope with all the wet stuff we've gotten this month that soon all the flowers and trees will be blooming and the world will become colorful. Then I'll go out with my camera and take pictures of stuff. Yay!

I've decided that I'm not going to "publish" the story in FanWords over on theOtaku. If you've subscribed to me there, you'll get notices that a new chapter has gone up. I write mainly for myself, but like to share my story. I did submit the first chapter for publication, but that's it.

   Mmm... frozen fruit juice bars... mmm....

I made "Tuesday Do List" at work Monday night. I figured I better do that because of having Tuesday off, I felt I should at least accomplish something for the day. I can't have another day like last Thursday, where I did NOTHING AT ALL!!!! Except watch Fullmetal Alchemist all day.

So, here's my list:

1. Laundry
2. New CDs for car
3. Bank statement
4. Work on some Japanese
5. Plan next jewelry project
6. Go outside at least twice
a. get the mail
b. maybe wear sandals
7. Fix kitty icon for my brother
8. Work on The Library
9. Go thru kanji and grammar lists
10. Fix messenger bag

Here's the results:

1. Done and put away already!
2. Done. Two of them, even!
3. Done. I realized I hardly have any money for anything for the next couple days until payday.
4. Done, but not to the extent I wanted. I did my vocabulary list for the day, but not any of the lessons.
5. Not done.
6. Done.
a. Big whoop. One letter for my dad.
b. Not yet. Too early in the year for sandals.
7. Done. Stupid site wanted a 50 x 50 pixel icon. No more. No less. I had to add 2 pixels to one dimension!
8. Sort of done. I'll probably get to it after I get through with this.
9. Done. I discovered I can't find two of my kanji pages.
10. Not done. I may have to try it on Thursday.

Not too shabby. Got most of it done. Whee!

Well. I think I will post this and get to work on other stuff. Yeah. That's what I'll do...

Additional: I just renamed The Library. It's now Toshokan. That's the Japanese word for library.
