   Dull dull dull

That sums up today. Nothing exciting happened at all. I did get myself back to where I was before I deleted most of my list of hockey cards that one time. Yay me. Now I have lots more... LOTS... to go. Anyone want to buy several thousand hockey cards?

   Arigato!

Thank you to whoever was the 100th person to hit my site!!!! Took just under a month to hit that milestone.

Thanks also to the feedback on the story start. I have a lot more written on it, but it's really really not ready for anyone to read. It's all fragmented and all that. I gotta sit down and start to tie it all together into something that makes sense.

I'll probably post more of my writing. It may not be parts of this story, however. I will warn you that my imagination does tend to run wild and silly at times, so don't be surprised if something really absurd shows up.

I'd like your feedback

Okay. This is the beginning of a story idea I started last year. I'd like your feedback on it. Okay?

I hesitated at the threshhold, wind in my face. There before me lay a vast, green countryside -- hills rolling off into the distance, where, on the horizon, mountains rose majestically. My mind began to race. This can't be right.

I look down at my feet. Soft leather boots instead of my old sneakers. I seem to be wearing brown twill pants instead of my old jeans. A dark green tunic instead of the college sweatshirt. On the belt at my waist hangs a short sword. I can feel the quiver and bow at my back. Again, I think, this can't be right.

"Milady," someone calls, "Gwynneth, are you coming?"

I look to find the voice and I see him walking up, leading two horses. He is tall, with a kind face and eyes that are the color of the sky. "I found horses in the village to the east," he says, smiling. "And the price was reasonable." The horses are incredible creatures. Both beautiful and intimidating. The bay seems placid enough. "I got this one especially for you, " he says, indicating the bay. "Isn't he gorgeous?" He smiles again.

Myriad thoughts run through my mind. Cars, television, airplanes, tanks. All are familiar, yet strange to me. I step forward and run my hand over the bay's neck. "Yes, he is beautiful," I say.

Somewhere a door slams and a distant voice cries out. We ride away.

   Boredom creeps in...

Okay. Now I'm getting bored. I should wander off and do something constructive. I really ought to get back into my writing. I'm about 3 months behind on my writing. *sigh* Same goes for my study of Ancient Greek. *sigh again* Stupid stress. Things sure went a bit weird on me in the middle of March. I'm now trying to pick up the pieces and get on with my life, but it isn't easy.

I will say this... my running around on this site has really got me to the point where I want to get going on my own artwork and writing again. Maybe I'll go through my notebooks from last year and see if there's anything worth posting in them.

   Disturbing.

I was watching Dragonball GT... I was trying to figure out what the problem was with Goku's shirt. Then I saw that it was sort of fuzzy....like his tail. So, is that not a shirt and actually hair?!?! Ieuuu...

   Marathon time.

I decided to do a movie marathon today. Started sometime between 2:00 and 2:30 this afternoon. It's now 10:32 and I'm still watching! Yes... I decided to go through all three Lord of the Rings movies in one sitting!!!! Or sitting & lying. I'm on the floor.

These are all the regular versions of the movies. I don't have the extended versions of the first two....yet. I am seriously considering getting them. But first I have to get the regular version of Return of the King... this one is checked out from the library. Need moneys before I can buys the DVDses! Hmmm... slipped into Gollum-mode there.
