   Slow computer & things.

Oh... about an hour or so ago I decided to come over here to post some more mindless drivel. Then the computer decided it didn't want to work quite properly. So it was time to run a spyware check, restart the computer, and run an antivirus check. Fortunately there's nothing harmful on this little beast. *sigh* I should do a serious spyware/antivirus scan on the other machine. Lord only knows what's on that thing.

Well, I had a pretty lazy Memorial Day. Spent it at my sister's house. Her husband grilled hamburgers for us. Yum! Watched TV pretty much all day with her. Had ice cream for supper. Yum again!

So here I am... watching Stargate on SciFi. Dang! Richad Dean Anderson sure is aging well. I had such a crush on him back during McGyver. Yowza!

Oh... That definitely wasn't manga/anime related! So what!!!!

   Another day...

...another dollar. I wish. I was just sitting around watching TV and figured, "what the hey? Why don't I go and play around on the old computer?" So here I am, playing around on the old computer. It's in need of lots of help. It's running Windows 95. Arrrgh.

I borrowed a keyboard from my brother. Sometimes the "T" doesn't work. Heck...most of the time the "T" doesn't work. I have to hit it at least 3 times to get it to work. I have to pry it off & check what's gumming it up.

Last night was interesting. Yet another night of thunderstorms. Way cool to watch, but kinda puts a damper on things dealing with the computer. I saw something on the weather channel that there was maybe 70 tornadoes. I don't quite believe that.

Well, the only auto race I watch is on. I think I'm going to go and watch the action. Some day I'm actually going to go to Indianapolis and see the Indy 500 live! That would be fun.

But first I have to get money saved up for the big trip in 2007!

   What the heck am I doing?

Why am I still awake? I should be in bed! It's way after midnight. I've been helping someone out with a puzzle for one of the other places I tend to hang out in. And Trigun is on!!!!! Yay!

   Catch and Release

I captured a marble-sized hailstone yesterday afternoon and held it captive in my freezer for a while. Later on I decided to free it by putting it in the planter on my balcony. I checked later and it wasn't there. I hope it managed to find its fellow hailstones and will lead a long productive life in the wild.

But on a more serious note... in the past week, there have been some really serious storms go through. Two small towns have literally been whiped off the map: Bradgate, Iowa, and Hallam, Nebraska. I consider it fortunate that all we had here in Council Bluffs was a nice lightning show and a good amount of rain, but I wish all the people of those two little towns the best.

   Wheeee!!!

Well. Today was the last day of training for that new job. We'll see how happy I am on Monday after my first day on the floor taking calls.

Oh...I'm in tech support of a sort, by the way.

Well. I'm back and I'm beat. I can't believe how tired I am tonight. Man oh man! It isn't even 9 pm here and I'm already considering going to bed.

I promise that I will eventually start posting things related to manga & anime. I just have to get over this wacko schedule I had at work.

Well. I think I skipped a day. This getting up at 4:30 in the morning is getting to me. Fortunately tomorrow is the end of my training class and the only day I'll have to get up that early for work is Sunday. I am so looking forward to a regular schedule.
