   Day off!!!

It's the waning hours of Monday. I had the day off! I didn't do anything that was really necessary to do!

I helped my mother with some quilts she's making for my neice's kids.

I got a bag of beads from my friend Phyll. I think it was a necklace or something. The beads are different sizes, and we have no clue what they're made of. I can't quite tell if they're stone or what.

I also uninstalled some stuff from my laptop. Oh, yeah. I took some more pictures of some ceramics that I made ages ago. These turned out all right, so I'll be wandering over to deviantArt to post them there.

So, now I'm sitting in the dining room half-paying attention to what's on TV. I've got SciFi on and they're running the movie Ninja Scroll. I missed the beginning of it, so I'm sort of lost as to what's going on. It has been fairly bloody so far...

   If I wasn't goofing on my computer, I'd probably be falling asleep...

It's Sunday night at motel-hell! It's boring as hell!!!

The Super Bowl is going on right now and I realized I don't give a rat's patootie about it! Yah!

My stomach hurts a little bit again, but I don't really feel sick. I'm wondering what I ate that is making my stomach do this. It's the second time in a week that I've had this happen. Weird. I can't remember all the stuff I've had to eat all week!!!! Arrgh.

My friends Bob & Phyll are leaving for Tuscon Tuesday... *giggle* Tuscon Tuesday... *ahem* ... They're going to the big rock & gem show down there. They go every year. I want to hide in their luggage and go with them. Phyll's going to find me some beads for malas. I'm going to make one for her!! She's going to be so surprised.

Well, that's about it for me for now. Time to meander over to deviantArt to see what's up over there. It's been quiet over there the past couple of days...

   Can this evening drag on any more than it already is?

I can't believe it's not quite 8 pm! I feel like I've been here forever... arrrrrrgh!

Yeah, I'm at work. I wanna go home. I have to stay here another 3 hours. Waah! I have to work tomorrow, too. I don't wanna!!!! Waaah!!!!!!

Okay... that was whiny.

I picked up Saiyuki Reload #1 today. I need to get Saiyuki #8 one of these days....

   At last!

I can watch TV while I'm working on my laptop online!!! I got the wireless feature working on the DSL modem and now can surf without having to be on the big monster computer upstairs!

Well, Thursday was pretty uneventful. Day off, as usual. Laundry, as usual. I got truly creative during the afternoon....

Oh, yeah. I feel lots better than I did Wednesday. Sinuses don't feel as icky, nor does my stomach hurt like it did.

Mid afternoon post.

The time: 1:40 pm
The place: room 212 of motel hell
The mood: slightly blah. Sinuses are acting up and I have to work in about an hour and 20 minutes.
The weather: cold and potentially snowy. I just wish it would make up its mind what it's going to do so I can make up my mind about going home tonight.

I really don't feel all that great. My sinuses always get wacky when I get stuck at the motel overnight. I think there's something in the air here. I've been a little light-headed and my neck needs a good cracking.

*sigh*

Well, since I've gone through all my email already and visited sites here and checked out deviantArt, I will just be keeping the laptop in the bag once I get to work. I suppose I can check the local weather forecasts again...

   Any growling you hear right now is coming from my stomach...

Well, I'm in a much better mood than last night. The drunken asshole has checked out. Hooray.

I'm actually hungry right now. I'm debating ordering a hot meal from the restaurant because I'm cold. That makes sense, doesn't it? I also have a bunch of tickets worth a dollar each for the restaurant. I can get food! The sales director gave me the tickets. She had a bunch of them and I've gotten her a few new leads for companies. Also... I want a salad... Plus, it's Tuesday, and Tuesday is Chicken Parmesan night over there!

It's unbelievably cold outside. Yesterday the temperature was around 45 or so. Today, the wind chills are around 20 below zero!!! It's not fair. The wind is blowing and I'm not gonna go home tonight! I just have to figure out what's on TV after I'm done. It's also frickin' cold in this lobby!!!!! Brrrr!!!!

Well, I just ordered food, so I'm gonna run to the salad bar here in a couple minutes.

   Warning: Rant Zone! Plus some vulgarity in this post. You have been warned!

This is an advisory: don't read any further if you are offended by crude language and off-color ways of referring to body parts. I am royally pissed off right now and have to vent. I apologize if anyone is offended by this post, but you'd be mad if you had to deal with what I'm dealing with tonight. I'd do a tone on tone thing to black out the part that follows, but I have a vari-colored background, so deal with it. Okay?

I am sick to the teeth of drunken assholes that stay here. In particular, one drunken asshole that is convinced he is going to be killed by one of the other guests. In the two and a half years I've been working here, I have never seen this asshole sober. And he drives an 18-wheeler!!! Yes, this drunken asshole is in charge of driving several tons of semi-truck down our nation's highways! Makes me want to stay the hell off the roads. I hope like hell that he stays at the "titty bar" until way after 11 pm so I don't have to deal with him any more tonight. And if he does get shot by someone, well.....

   Wow... Where have I been? Warning: there's stuff about hockey in this post!

Well, it's Sunday night, I'm at home goofing on the big old desktop. I didn't have to work today, either!!!! *does a happy dance*

Let's see if I can recall all the events of the past couple days....

Saturday: DAY OFF!!! It was nice out. I went to SUX with my brother. We got tickets to the hockey game and ran around to Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michael's, PetSmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, the food court in the mall, and Staples before finally heading to the game. The game was awesome.
WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it needs that many exclamation points.

Our team broke a five game losing streak quite nicely last night. The final score was 5 to 2! In the first part of the second period, we scored three goals in 49 seconds! It was great. The truly cool thing is that we were sitting down on one end close to one of the goals, and it turned out that during the second period it was the goal that we had to shoot into to score. So we saw all three of those goals really well. It was really amazing. I was so happy to be able to get to a game. To be honest, the fact that I got to go to the game was the only thing getting me through work Friday night.

Well, Friday night at work was pretty awful by the time it ended. I mentioned stupidity starting up at the end of my last post. The amount of stupidity running rampant was phenomenal. Stupid people... I was so angry at some of the guests for the stupid things they pulled. It was one of the type of nights where I left as soon as I could just because of how frustrated I was. I even pulled out the CD entitled "X the Unknown" and played track 6. Track 6 is the song "Die MF Die" by Dope. It sums up quite a lot sometimes.

I feel the urge to comment on some comments here. Well, at least address a couple points...

ShadowsCastbyDusk: I'm the only one that has to work with the little psycho because no one wants to work with him. I don't want to work with him! One of my other coworkers is a spoiled brat that can only work with two people and doesn't have to do things she doesn't want to do. She can't work Friday nights... but she sure can spend entire Friday nights in the bar in the building! As for other shifts: I am one of four people that work there that does not smoke. All the ones that work during the day smoke and the place smells horrible. My lungs shut down after a while of breathing second-hand smoke.

Yensid: Motel-hell is my work place. I work the front desk from 3 to 11. The little psycho is the ever-so-slightly brain-damaged bellman. He has told someone on the phone that he's the manager of the place and doesn't check people in. He claims he doesn't want to learn how to check people in. In fact, he will never be trained to check people in. His usual reaction to a complaint is to laugh at the person. He laughs at the drunks checking in, which only encourages them more and makes my tolerance level drop even more.

Mamma Vash: Well, I went to the official Frank Zappa website and found albums entitled "200 Motels" and "Jazz from Hell", but no "Motel Hell". Unless that was a track on one of them. Imagining the little psycho in his underwear is a nauseating prospect. I did briefly toy with the thought of wondering what it would be like to see the world as he does. Then I realized I'd probably want to kill myself within 30 seconds. If you click on the Ed Clock, I believe it should take you to the site where I got it. Can't wait to see the Closet!

blackwings: I'm glad you weren't surprised by the little psycho! I sure wish I could be surprised by him some night when he actually shuts the F**K up instead of babbling constantly! I've come to the conclusion that he's living proof of Douglas Adams's one theory in one of the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy books: If humans stop talking, their brains begin to work.

I think that does it for now. I'm just about done with my internet wanderings tonight. Oh, yeah... this afternoon, I did manage to finally get my laptop to hook up to the wireless feature of our DSL modem. It only took about an hour and a half on the phone with tech support... a lot of which was being put on hold, getting forgotten on hold, getting transferred to the wrong department and transferred back to tech support, getting put on hold again, getting forgotten on hold again... oh, you get the idea...

   Let me go home.

Well, it's not quite 6:00 pm here at motel-hell. I want to go home so desperately right now. I don't feel all that good. The psycho is getting on my nerves, which is no surprise at all. The prospect of having a Saturday off is all that is getting me through the evening.

I do have a few projects I can be working on while I sit here.

... about 30 minutes and one flurry of activity later...

Well, that was interesting. I just had a small rush.

I am now hungry. I suppose I could eat that sandwich I brought.

Great... stupidity is starting up. Better boogie.

   ...In between the place you thought you'd be and where you are....

Well, day off is coming to a close. Dang.

It was really cold last night. My brother said the temperature was something like -25 degrees Fahrenheit here last night. Way cold! I don't really like it that cold.

Otherwise, things are pretty fine right now. I must admit that I did do some work on my kanji cards last night. I shouldn't have. I got confused by one of them and another just got the best of me. I did a little more work at them this afternoon while waiting for laundry to finish. I have them almost finished! Now I'll just have to remember to take them along with me and try to memorize them. Yeek.

I gotta work tomorrow night. *sigh* I'd much rather be doing other stuff on a Friday, but certain people "can't" work on Fridays. I'm sure that person will show up in the evening and spend all night in the bar, though! But there is an upside to working Friday.... I have Saturday night off!!! And there's a hockey game!!!! I am so pumped for it! Yeah!!!

Well, that's it for now. I think I will wander about the internet for a while and then maybe wander off to my room and try to do some writing or something. I'll probably end up playing on my GBA again. *sigh*
