   Half frozen...

It's frickin' cold!! Outside and inside! Yikes!

It's been a little on the hectic side tonight. I want to go home desperately and just hope Onigiri will start. I still have about two hours left of my shift. At least my brother is punctual... he's already here!!!!

Well, I think I will give my beastie of a laptop a rest now. I just don't feel like working on my kanji cards tonight at all! I do feel like beating the living crap out of the telephone, though. But that's normal....

   Ho hum...

Well, back to work today. *sigh* It's cold in here. It's actually kind of quiet tonight. Except for the Russian guy on the couch talking on his cell phone.

When all was said & done, we got about 10 inches of snow Sunday and Monday. I didn't shovel any after my initial shoveling. Ha! I wasn't about to!

So... who do I blame? The cat or my brother? One of them made enough noise to wake me up this morning from a truly interesting dream! I was seeing things from the point of view of Sanzo from Saiyuki. I haven't quite figured out what exactly was going on, but Hakkai and Goku may have been missing. Gojyo was around and arguments were going on. Then I woke up!!!! ARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! I think I'll kick my brother when he gets here tonight for waking me up.

   That's it... I'm finished....

For a day off filled with plans of doing as little as possible, I sure did a lot!

I got out of bed reluctantly around 9:45 am. The cat was making noises at me for some reason or another. After breakfast and bathing, I went out to shovel the front walk. We got about 6 inches of snow! The shoveling wore me out before lunch. After lunch, I did a oad of laundry and brought up my old garbage can from the basement to be used in the kitchen. I had to wash it out because it was dusty from sitting in the basement for a couple years. After that was done, I went out to sweep snow off my car so I could go downtown to get a 12-pack of Coke and some hamburger buns. I took the garbage out after I got back. Then I helped my mom try to make a small quilt thing for my bed. We didn't do a very good job of it, but it is done. Then I made supper. Now I'm here sitting around goofing off on the computer because I couldn't find anything interesting to watch on TV right now. I couldn't even find any movies to watch. In about a half hour I will go downstairs to feed the cats their evening treat. I'll check if there's anything interesting on TV yet by then. Otherwise, I'll be back here goofing around some more. I know I won't be on too late, because I'm just a bit tired. But that can change in the next hour or so.

   Snuggly Day Off Love!

Don't even begin to ask where that subject line came from! I don't even want to think about it.

And now, on to the post...

The time: 9:50 pm, Sunday, January 20, 2008
The place: HOME!!!!
The mood: content and happy to be at home.
The weather: snowy.

The stuff: Well, I didn't do anything of great importance today. Got up and had PopTarts for breakfast. Had lunch about an hour later. I didn't even sleep in that late! We just had lunch early. Then I goofed off with my brother for a couple hours while the parentals were visiting my sister at the hospital. My brother went to go take a nap and I played online for about an hour before getting booted off the computer. Then I worked half-heartedly at my kanji cards. I was watching a really bad movie at the same time. Then supper... TACOS!!!! I had some good tacos finally. *does a happy dance* After supper, watched Batman Begins. It was on F/X, but I wanted to have no commercials, so I snitched my brother's DVD. During that is when it started to snow. I can't tell if it's snowing now or not. The curtains are pulled closed in here and the blinds may be down, too. I'm too lazy to go check. XD After the movie was over, I came in here to do the rest of my online goofing off. And here I am....

Exciting day, wasn't it?

Oh, and a comment on a comment: feeding the whiney little psycho would only work if I fed him some treacle or something to glue his mouth shut! Otherwise all that feeding him would accomplish is him expecting me to give him food all the time!!

   It's one of those days.

I had to check the calendar to see if it was the Full Moon tonight. People are stupid and whiny!

And destructive.... the psycho and the maintenance man had to pull towels and chairs out of the indoor pool already. Where the hell are the parents of the kids that did that? If I had done anything like that, my parents would have killed me. Or locked me up until I was 35. Or killed me and locked me up until I was 35! Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have children.

I want to go home. NOW!

I have the next two days off. I have mixed emotions about that. I wish I had a couple different days off, but I'm glad I won't be here tomorrow or Monday. Tomorrow will be dead and the psycho would whine about how bored he is. Monday will be busy and the psycho would whine about that, too.

   Oooh... look! A rhino!

Well, I made it home all right this morning after staying at the motel last night. I didn't sleep worth a crap. It felt like I didn't get any sleep at all. I did enjoy the ability to watch Adult Swim for a while. I must say that Shin-chan is incredibly silly. Not the best animation in the world, but truly a silly show.

I did figure out how to do something last night at work. I figured out how to use the IME pad of the Japanese language input thing on my computer. The truly amazing thing is that I am left handed yet I mouse with my right hand. I always have. I just can't do it with my left hand. So... I'm drawing kanji with my off hand! Yeek! However, I must be doing all right because the thing has been able to figure out what I'm trying to write.

That brought something else to mind. I want a graphics tablet for my computer. It would be such a trip to be able to just "draw" right into a program or something, wouldn't it? I just have to figure out if I can ever afford one.

   Just freeze already why dont' ya?

It's winter. It's going to be cold. It may not be 80 degrees in your room, but I'm sure that 70 or 75 is going to be a helluva lot warmer than it is outside! For crying out loud, people, you're from Canada! It's generally colder there than it is here! Aren't you used to it by now? Oh, of course not. That's why you're going to Texas! Well, I got news for you. It can get cold in Texas, too! Yeah... and they can get ICE!!!! I hope you're prepared for that!

Sorry about that. I just needed to vent. Guests are driving me batty again. Wow... what do you know? The little psycho came in second for irritants tonight.

And it's snowing out... I guess I will stay in tonight after all. *sigh* I hope I get home tomorrow because of day off!! And laundry...

...wandering aimlessly....

Yep. That's my brain cell tonight! I think it would rather be elsewhere. Most likely place that comes to mind is hiding under the covers on my bed.

Not much going on with me today. Just work as usual. The little psycho has been driving me up a wall as usual. It's been busy enough around here to keep me from going completely out of my skull with boredom.

Tomorrow, however, may be a different story. We're supposed to be getting some snow. Up to 3 inches or something like that. I'll bring stuff in case I have to stay overnight. If I do, at least I get to watch Cartoon Network! I just hope I get to go home Thursday, 'cause I have it and Friday off! I don't like being stuck at work on my days off. Who would?

   I'm feeling much better now!

Well, yes, I am feeling better. My sinuses weren't nearly as stuffy this morning as they were yesterday. And my stomach felt much better too. I had some chicken noodle soup last night and it sat all right. I was scared of it, because I'm just getting back to being able to eat chicken noodle soup that isn't homemade after several years of not being able to eat it because I got sick after a bowl of it. Did that make sense?

Anyhoo... I feel better. That's what counts. I think it also helped that I didn't have to work today! Whee.

Not working is always fun, but the fact that I got my hours cut at work sucks. I may have to rethink exactly what foolish thing I'm going to buy with my tax refund money. There are the necessary things that are being done this year: new glasses, brakes on my car, repairing the air conditioning in the car. Then there are the unnecessary items: a Nintendo DS and an iPod. I may stick with only the DS and order a certain cartridge for it from the internet.

On another note, I wonder if people traveling near my hometown were wondering what was going on because of all the Highway Patrol cars heading to my town. There was a funeral at our church today for a man who had been a Highway Patrolman. I could see 11 cars in front of our house. There may have been more. The patrolman that came to our house the other day to ask about the church and funeral said there was going to be 15 to 20 patrolmen in attendance. It would have been something to see all those cars as an honor guard out to the cemetery.

Otherwise, my day was pretty quiet. I worked at my kanji flashcards some more. I just need to get some headway made on them so I can return to the grammar part! I'm so slow at my Japanese! I need to get my arse in gear on all the stuff I want to do!!! Waaaa!!!!

   Good lord...

...my brain hurts! I woke up wrong this morning. My sinuses are absolutely killing me! I've taken Dayquil and Tylenol. Nothing seems to want to get rid of this headache. Hopefully, my stomach won't get upset at me again. I had a bit of a stomachache after lunch. Ugh. If I was really wanting to be sick, I would've liked it if I would have started feeling sick earlier in the day so I could have called in sick for work.

Anyhoo... That's about it for now. I'm at work. It's really dead. I'm slightly hungry, but scared of eating. I just can't win, can I?
