I'm in a bit of a pissy mood right now. I'm at work and would rather be at home. Well, that's nothing unusual for work, it seems.

I suppose you're now wondering exactly why I'm in a pissy mood. Way back in March, I left a Japanese language forum because of one person on it. This individual is very condescending and I got fed up with his attitude. About a month ago, I found another Japanese language forum and was getting help with things there with no problem. Until the same guy from the first forum started to answer my posts and questions with the same condescending attitude. I'm considering leaving this forum as well, but it's been very helpful. For now, I am going to ignore him. But if he keeps up the attitude, I will definitely leave.

I changed my signature on the forum from the simple phrase "Know yourself." to the following:

Yes, I read manga. Yes, I watch anime.

But I also like reading haiku and death poetry. I read about the history of Japan. I try to learn about the culture as well.

I am trying to learn the language -- both written and spoken -- alone in an area with a large Hispanic population and practically no Japanese.

But all people see is the first thing I said.

Don't judge me by that. You don't know me. If judge only by that, you don't deserve to know me.

Know yourself.

So... what do you think? Am I overreacting to this idiot? It's just that he made me so mad. I really don't want to leave the forum because it's been so helpful. And I have this horrible feeling that if I go to another forum, I'll find him there, too!

   Yeeeeaaaaarrrghh!!!!!

Man... my ear hurts! It's been going on for two days now. I think I have an ear infection AGAIN!!!!! At least the pain in my head is centered only on my right ear and not the entire head as it was yesterday.

Yep. I spent yesterday with a miserable sinus headache and earache at work and at the staff party! I also ate too much at the party. I did learn one thing though: NEVER eat a baby dill pickle wrapped in cream cheese and pepperoni immediately after eating a candy cane! The flavor combination is not a pleasant experience. But then again, neither is Coca-Cola with a slight hint of chocolate flavored coffee and apple cider! (I didn't wash my mug between drinks, okay?!?!)

On the whole, the party wasn't too bad. I got to sit in there for maybe an hour total out of my shift. My present was pretty decent this year. I still think they rigged it so I got what I did! I got 4 tickets to hockey games! Later on, the one girl came up and had 4 more for my brother. They didn't give away all of the tickets, and he hadn't got anything because he didn't go to the party. (We both work at the same place, and he's not a party person.)

Well, I think I'll wander off now. I'm starting to get annoyed with stupid people on the telephone, yet I have just shy of three & a half hours left of my shift.

   Waarrrgle....

Well, Saturday has wound to an end here. I was so mad when I got up this morning. IT DIDN'T SNOW OVERNIGHT!!!! I could have gone home last night. I could have slept in my own bed!!! Arrgh!

But it did snow off & on all day, so here I sit, ruining my posture, watching Cartoon Network. Yay for Cartoon Network!

Sunday evening is the staff Christmas party at work. It involves free food, so I'm pretty cool with that. Maybe I'll get a neat present. The first year I got a Coca-Cola T-shirt. Yay! The second year I got $20.00 gift certificates for Perkins restaurant. Yum!

   No!

I don't wanna!!!

We're supposed to get another 5 to 8 inches of snow starting tonight and running into tomorrow. That means I get stuck at work for a couple nights because I work right now, Saturday and Sunday... and Monday... and Tuesday... and Wednesday.... *growls*

At least I get to watch Cartoon Network again. Yay!

Yesterday was pretty low key. Did laundry as usual for a Thursday. That was about it. Mom actually didn't insist I do what she thinks I should be doing. I actually did very little of anything except watch TV all day. That was kind of fun. Just sit and watch TV... nothing else for the most part.

It's that time of year again. Time for Christmas parties in the banquet area of the hotel. Time for drunk people at these parties. *sigh* I just never have seen the point in getting that drunk. Oh well... at least I can laugh at them behind their backs.

Well, it's not even 6:00 pm yet... I've already gone through all of my email and am slowly approaching a mild state of *insert about 20 minutes of sudden activity here* boredom.

It's now 5:55 pm. I think it's time for me to go find food or something.

My brain cell is in a mildly silly mood right now. It may be getting excited because I have tomorrow off. It will be doing truly mundane things like laundry or whatever my mom thinks I should be doing.

I really wish we could bake cookies! The part is still on back order! It's been 2 months! Arrrgh! It's Christmas time!!! We need cookies!!!

   Is it time to go home yet?

Tonight is just dragging... work is rather dull. I have a headache that just won't go away. Stupid cold.

Well, I did get home yesterday morning around 11:00. The roads were nice and clean... until I got to my hometown. Then the streets were crappy. They were still crappy when I left for work today. They'll probably still be crappy when I get home tonight.

Well, I think I will wander off now and find something else to do.

*sigh*

Still at motel-hell. I wanna go home! But I'm not insane enough to drive on icy roads in the dark.

Anyhoo... well, at least I get to watch Cartoon Network. Got to see the last part of Death Note. It looks pretty good. I'd rather see it in the original Japanese. Then Blood+. I have absolutely no clue what is going on with that one. Next was Samurai Champloo! It was the very first episode. Fun! Now it's Fullmetal Alchemist and it's one of the ones I've seen a bunch of times 'cuz it's on one of my DVDs. It sounds so funny being in English.

Well, I think I may wander off here... not too far, though. The bed is only about five feet away from me.
