   Owwwwwchie!

My right wrist hurts. A lot. It's very uncomfortable to type now. I probably should try to find one of my wrist braces, but I have no idea where they are. It's too hot to wear the stupid thing! I don't know what triggered the pain today, but this is the worst it's hurt in a long, long time. Oh, yeah, I should say what I've done to it... I broke that wrist when I was 5 years old. Then I sprained it in college. It will become a little sore sometimes, but this is the worst since I hurt it... maybe.

Anyhoo... I'm going to keep this a bit short because of the pain and because of the thunderstorm that is threatening outside. I hope we get some rain!

   A slightly happier post....

Well, it's now just about 1:30 in the morning. I really should be in bed reading manga or something, but I had to get online.

I just finished reading the 7th Harry Potter book. It was really rather good. I think the next time I read it, I'm going to keep a body count. I won't go into details here because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. Okay? I'll just say I was really pleased with the way it ended.

So... now I think I better go to bed. My cat is snoozing next to me and she's setting a good example!

   Showing great restraint...

by not killing the telephone!

If I had $1.00 for each time the phone has rung on my shift, I'd have at least$50.00!

It's been absolutely insane for a Tuesday night here at motel-hell. I guess this is payback for having slow nights on Sunday and Monday. I didn't even get to start my dinner until 7:00 pm and then it took an hour to eat it!

Weather is still hot and sticky. I think my headache from yesterday lay dormant for a while... then I went out the door to go to work. I think I need gills to breathe out there.

Well, must go do some real work now. Harry Potter book must wait... *sigh*

   Make it go away!!!

I hear you asking what I want to go away. Well, here's a list of things:

1. The humidity outside.
2. The high temperatures.
3. The slight headache that I have had all day.
4. The sticky feeling on everything thanks to the weather.
5. Umm... I forget.

Well, most of what I want to go away seems to deal with the weather. I hate this time of year. When people ask me if I prefer winter or summer, I always say winter. They usually look at me like I have three heads or something. I usually explain it this way: In the winter, if you're cold, you can always put on more clothes or wrap up in a blanket. In the summer, if you're too hot, you can only take off so much clothing before you get arrested. Then you're naked and still hot!

But when it boils right down to it... I prefer autumn over all the other seasons.

Well... time to do some Japanese and maybe pretend like I'm working. It's actually pretty dead for a Monday. Yay.

   Blecccccch....

I am so tired. I didn't sleep well last night. I think I may go to bed early-ish tonight. By that, I mean before 2:30 am!

Well, Saturday was a day off. My brother had to work Friday night, so I didn't run around with him at all. I did go to SUX to pick up my copy of the 7th Harry Potter book. I've exercised great self-control and have read only two chapters so far.

I gotta work Sunday as usual. I hope it's quiet. Last week was so busy and frustrating.

Well... I think I will go check one more thing out and then off to bed.

   I have a bunny!

Not a real bunny, but a bean bag bunny! I have a picture, but I'm on the dialup tonight, so it's not gonna upload any time soon. But here is a picture of him on the Blue Bunny website.

So... Thursday was a day off. I took advantage of it and did something I needed to get done by the end of the month: I went to LeMars to renew the license plates on my car! Yep, Onigiri is legal for the state of Iowa for another year! Whee!

Since LeMars is the Ice Cream Capital of the World, I couldn't go up there and just go to the courthouse. I had to stop at the ice cream parlor for an obsene amount of mint chip ice cream! That was lunch. Then I took a turn around the gift shop and found the Blue Bunny bean bag. I couldn't resist. I haven't completely decided on his name. I'm thinking of Aoi no Usagi. I think that's a pretty good name.

Well, after I had the ice cream, I went to Walmart and wandered around there for a while. For a "Super" Walmart, the LeMars one is pretty small! I didn't really find anything of great interest in there. But I was amused by the teenaged boys in the video/computer games that were excited about a game they saw there. It was so funny listening to them. Then I wandered back over to the food part.

Then it was back home again. My brother was awake and watching TV. I came in on the middle of whatever he was watching, so I started my laundry and went to clean up the radishes, carrots and grapes that I bought the other day. Now I have veggies & fruit to eat!! Yummy!

I finally got the software for my little camera installed. I downloaded the pictures and they're, well, fuzzy. I think I need to do some more practicing with it until I can get something that looks like pictures out of it. Once I get onto high speed connection again, I'll upload some of the pictures so you can see what I mean.

So, now it's 1:20 am... I'm seriously considering sleep now.

   Shh... don't scare it away!

Yep, I'm here while it's light outside! I thought I'd take a little break from my Japanese vocabulary lists to post quick.

I don't have much to say except it's hot & sticky outside. Which is not surprising because the RiverCade Parade is tonight over in SUX. It's always miserably hot for that. I hope my coworker's daughter makes it through the parade all right.

I also must apologize for not visiting or returning guestbook signatures. It's just that it's busier at work right now and I haven't had time. I'm lucky to be able to post sometimes.

So...without further ado, I must leave you now. Lunch is beckoning to me!

   Oh all right....

I'll tell you what I did Saturday on my day off! Sheesh....some people are so nosy. ;)

Well, I finished reading the 5th Harry Potter book in time to go to SUX with my brother to see the movie. Then we ran around for a while and hit Walmart for stuff, KFC for food, Barnes & Noble for a magazine, and Target for more stuff.

The movie was good. I can't get over how much the kids have all changed in their looks since the first movie. Especially Fred & George! I was amazed that it was the same two guys. I think my brother enjoyed it, despite having seen only the 4th movie. I had to fill him in on some things again.

I got a little bitty digital camera for $10 at Walmart. It was on clearance. I haven't installed the software on my laptop yet, so I don't know how the pictures are going to turn out. It doesn't have a little viewscreen on it. I'll take a picture of it with the other digital camera so you can see how little it is. I can put it on my keychain if I want!

Last night at work was rather busy. Really odd for a Sunday to be that busy. I think the time between 9:00 and 9:45 was Piss and Moan Time. I think just about everyone had to complain about something during that time... and, yes, I was working with the little psycho! Fortunately he was running around doing stuff for most of that time and was out of my way.

Tonight is kind of busy, too. I think we have only two rooms left in the building. Yikes!

Well, gonna go now. Got stuff to do and so on. That's the joy of being at work while I do this stuff.

That's a cross between a growl and an "argh"!

Anyhoo... my weekend was well, busy.

Friday: had to work. Was not having fun. It was mildly busy. I had to work with someone I don't usually work with and it sort of bothered me.

Saturday: off. Didn't go online.

Sunday: working. Busy. Gotta go berfore I go insane.
