   Okay.

Let's see.... I got hit by a meteor yesterday. You should have seen it. It was huge! Put a really big dent in my plans for the day. I was going to go get on my private jet and fly over to my private island in the Mediterranean, but the dang meteor spoiled everything.

So... other than that, nothing's been going on with me. How about you?

Yep. That was the line out of one of our regular guests last night. He was in a rather odd mood and was saying all these random lines that had me & April laughing so hard. Here's a couple more:

"I wonder how many calories are in dog food."

"I wonder how much fiber is in kleenex."

He's on a diet and I think it's getting to him.

I'm at work. I'm bored. I put new artwork up, so I got one in before November is over.

   I got beads!!!!

Yep. You heard right. I got beads! My friend Bob got the holes drilled on my big beads so I could get my mala finished. Yay! Here's a picture of all my malas. Click it to see it non-transparent.






I made all but the little one on the lower right. Here's what they're made of... Upper left: carnelian. Lower left: tiger eye. Middle: aventurine. Upper right: some kind of wood that I don't remember the name of right now. Lower right: amethyst.

I want to redo the amethyst one. I'm not sure whether I want to do it with 27 beads like the other bracelet sized ones, or 54 beads like the middle one, or 108 beads for something different. Hmm... if I do the 108, that would be one step closer to a Miroku costume! *giggle* But me doing a Miroku cosplay would be weird. I'm a girl!

So, here I am at work. It's only 5:15 pm and I'm already bored. I think I may go find food. Mmmm... pizza.

   Grrrrble!

It's kind of silly, but my beading project is on hold right now.

I found the proper name of the thing that I'm making: it's a mala. It's the string of beads like what Miroku has around his hand. I'm making a small strand of them out of aventurine beads. Well, the website where I found the instructions also calls them "Peace Malas." I'm frustrated by my attempt... one of the beads I want to use is defying me! The people that made them didn't do a very good job on the holes through them. The holes are cone shaped. Yeah, one end is narrower than the other. I can't even get my cord through the thing! I had my dad try to see if one of his drill bits would get through it, but the stone is harder than the bead. I left a message with my friend Bob to see if he has something that will get through the beads. Either that, or I'm gonna have to see if there's any other beads at that place that will work.... I really want to use that dark green bead.

Well, Monday was a day off again. I did laundry. Lots of it, too! That's about it for Monday. Gotta work Tuesday.

   Another Saturday night...

Hey! I'm not bored! Not at all! I'm at home. It was a day off for me on Saturday. I just have to waste enough time for this to post on Sunday. I could try to confuse you more. *insert evil laugh here*

Oh... on my day off I did some stuff. Isn't that exciting? My brother & I went to SUX and did stuff. We went to the comic book store. He bought something. I didn't. We ate at Long John Silvers. I had the popcorn shrimp. He had chicken. Then we went to Michael's. It's a craft store. He found something there, but I didn't. Then over to Hobby Lobby. We both found stuff there. Then down to Walmart, where we both found stuff and bought it. Then to Target, where we both bought stuff. It was a day full of stuff!!! Whee!!!

Actually, what we're doing is making strands of dharma beads. I have three bracelet size strands that I made a couple years ago when I lived in Council Bluffs. We're making longer ones. My brother is making his out of tiger eye and will have a black tassel on it. Mine is going to be out of aventurine and will have a green tassel. I'll get a picture of mine when I'm done so you all can see it. I may even take a picture of my bracelets. I have another bracelet of amethyst that needs to be redone. I need six more beads, but haven't remembered to take it with me when I look for the beads. I want to try to match color as best as I can.

Well, there you have it. I did stuff with my brother. I may go and get my beads to try to string them up. Then again, maybe I won't. It's one of those nights where I am like a leaf blowing in the wind... I change directions with no warning. Wheee!!!!!

Anyhoo... 'tis Friday night. I'm at work. I'm bordering on pure, unadulterated boredom. I've got iTunes running and have Beethoven's 9th Symphony going. I just have to refrain from singing along with the last movement.

I think I'm going to have to do something here... something totally wild... I'm going to have to eat! Yes! I must eat!!!! Bwaahahaahahaaaa!!!!!

   No one expects the Spanish Inquisition!

Well, it's Thanksgiving! I hope everyone has had their fill of turkey and all the trimmings. My day was pretty quiet. We had our roast beef for lunch and it was rather good. Mom kept insisting that it was horrible and dry and so on, but it wasn't. It was very good. We all ate it without any complaints.

Work is rather dead. I have been out on a couple runs with railroaders, but they've not lasted long because of nothing being open. About the only places open are some of the convenience stores. I actually volunteered to work tonight... I must be out of my head.

Well, that's about it. I think I'm gonna go find something to read.

   I'm an angel with an attitude....

Heard that song the other day. I like it! I gotta get it.

Anyhoo... here's the skinny on my Thanksgiving. Since Mom was sick the other day, she called my sister in Council Bluffs and my brother in Sioux Falls and told them not to come. She doesn't want them to get sick, either. So... it's back to just my parents, my brother and me for Thanksgiving dinner. And we're having roast beef instead of turkey! Yum!!! Mom's roast beef is really good. I have to work from 4 to midnight, so we'll have it at lunch.

To be honest, I'm kinda glad it's back to the four of us. I wasn't looking forward to having any of them around.

I'm at work right now. I'm also rather bored. I think I will post my quiz result for you all to see and be amazed by. I found the quiz while looking for good pictures of Chrono. Enjoy....

   Donuts! I want Donuts!

Well, it's now just past 11:00 pm on Monday night and I am getting rather tired. I ended up getting about two more hours of sleep this morning. Maybe three. I don't know. I do know that they were all rather disjointed and now I've got a bit of a headache.

As for my Mom: Thanks for all the well wishes and warm thoughts. It's not food poisoning, but the stomach flu. Yay. Three days before Thanksgiving and she's got the stomach flu. They put her on an IV to get the right fluids in her and sent her back home. She's slept all day pretty much. I think I talked to her twice when she was conscious enough.

So, now I don't know what's gonna happen for Thanksgiving. My sister and her husband and son were coming up from Council Bluffs, and my brother and his wife were coming down from Sioux Falls. I don't know what's going on. But that's typical for me.

Anyhoo... I'm starting to get tired, so I think it's time for me to go up to my room and crash. I don't know if I'll be playing on my GBA or not tonight. Just depends on whether or not I can concentrate on the game.

   *sigh*

Well, it's just past 5:00 am on Monday. I've had perhaps 2.5 hours of sleep.

I turned the light off around 1:30 and a little after 4:00 my Dad woke me up to let me know that my Mom is sick. He had called the ambulance & they got here and took her in to SUX to the hospital. I haven't heard anything yet, but Dad figures it's food poisoning. They went to a party yesterday afternoon and something there may be the culprit.

So, I'm rather happy that I don't have to work today. I'll let you all know what's what when I find out more. I think I'm gonna try to get back to sleep.
