I don't need a photograph, 'cause you never left my mind....
It's Friday!!! woohoo!!! I don't have to work tonight!!! I also have no clue when I work next because the schedule still wasn't up last night. I suppose I'll call after 3 pm to find out if I work tomorrow.
Work last night was okay. Nothing too exciting at all. I actually had a couple runs to the rail yard! Wednesday night I had none at all. *sigh* Talk about boring.
I don't know what I'm gonna do today, except the rest of my laundry. Whee! I'll be back tonight to visit peoples.
Thursday. Must work again tonight. Then off tomorrow!! Whee!!!! It was so weird having five days of work in a row. I wonder what my schedule is going to be like now. The one girl that worked there doesn't anymore. I don't know exactly what happened, but she's not working there anymore. Oh well.... Hopefully it will mean I get 40 hours with regularity now. They did re-hire the guy that I sort of replaced. Unfortunately he's a psychotic little man that not very many people like. Thank God the only thing he does is drive the van and take stuff like towels to rooms. It would not be a good thing to have him checking people in.
Well, I'm gonna wander off now. I want to go into town early so I can get cat food. My fatcat needs her food. *wanders off muttering about the spoiled rotten little cat*
It's Wednesday. Instead of having the day off as usual, I have to work tonight. *sigh* I don't wanna. I'm really sick of that place.
Last night was somewhat boring. Not a lot of people about, with the holiday and all. I did get to see some fireworks from our parking lot, but not very much. I played with some of my sparklers when I got home. I guess I'll save the rest for next year.
Like I said, I'm slightly bored right now. I should go walk downtown to take something down for my brother and get the mail. That will kill about 20 minutes. *sigh*
So... I hope everyone is all right and having a great day. I'll visit when I can... and that looks like it may be Friday night...late Friday night.
It's 2:00 am. I was nestled quite nicely in my bed and there was a big BANG noise from outside. It happened about 1:20 or so. I grabbed my flashlight and came down to see what was going on. If something had happened outside. I couldn't tell if someone had an accident with some fireworks or anything. Argh! It's gonna be hard to find out what happened!!!
Work Monday wasn't too bad for a Monday. Not as busy as it usually is... either that or I missed all the busy stuff while out on van runs.
I think I better go try to get some sleep now.
Laters!
*^*^*^*^*^*
Additional: Well, it's almost 12 hours later & I still have no idea what made that noise.
So... in honor of today's holiday, someone who hasn't been seen for a while brings you a greeting. Click his picture for a better view.
Here it is, Sunday night. Time to update. Let's see if I can remember what happened since I last posted.
Friday: work. Blah. It was busy. It was weird. I was in a bit of a bad mood when I got there and things that happened during the evening didn't help much. The only cool things were the fireworks and the clowns in a car. Sioux City has a "sister city" in Louisiana and every summer there's a Mardi Gras type parade. I was driving one of the railroaders back to the yard and he yelled out "Hey! Look at that clown!" I looked where he was pointing and sure enough there was a car with a couple clowns in it. It was rather funny. After the parade there was fireworks. I didn't get to see them all, but saw some of them as I was driving someone else somewhere. That's about all I want to say about Friday.
Saturday: didn't have to work!! w00t! My brother also had the day off, so we had sort of planned to go to a local state park to take a look around, but decided that it was too hot out to do that and went to a movie instead. We saw Superman Returns. It was excellent. I liked it more than my brother did, but I've always had a soft spot for Superman. It goes way back to the first Superman movie with Christopher Reeve. It was fun seeing things that were related to the first movie and the original TV series from the 1950s.
Sunday: work again. I had to be there at 8:00 in the morning. Ick. My body is used to staying up late and sleeping until 10:00, so it wasn't easy getting in gear. It was okay. I did have quite a few runs with the van, which was all right. It was something to keep me awake. The good thing about working the 8 to 4 shift is that I was home and able to watch Dead Zone! I was also able to receive a phone call from my friend in Arkansas. I left her a message this morning while waiting for a train and she called back. I haven't talked to her in ages. I wrote her a letter, too. I want to go see her so bad!!! It's been something like 5 years since I've seen her. Her kids are growing up so fast! Aaaaah!!! Now I'm all melancholy.
The week ahead: work, work, work, work. That's Monday through Thursday. All 4 to midnight shifts. Yay. I'm just a little upset that I have to work on the 4th. I bought some sparklers and want to play with them! I think I may go out with one of them tonight after I post this. If it's cool looking, I'll record it with the digital camera agian and post it for you guys.
I think I will go now. I'm tired and want to do something else. Maybe watch some Kenshin or Batman Beyond. But I will leave you with what could possibly be the best line in Superman Returns: Hey, weren't there two of those?
Boat drinks! Boys in the band ordered boat drinks!
Well, Thursday is almost over now. I didn't do much of anything today, either. I was going to do a lot of writing during the day, but ended up getting out of bed after 10:00 and doing other stuff.
I had a burst of inspirtation after I got offline last night (around 1:30 am) and ended up staying up until 2:00 or so drawing. Then early this afternoon I finished the picture off and scanned it in and posted it. I don't know exactly what sparked the sentiment in the picture, but it's a chibi me with fox ears. Nope... no fox tail. Sorry. That just didn't cross my mind until I got the picture scanned in.
Oh... I got the actual certificate in the mail the other day for my Master CIW Designer thing. The first thing that caught my attention was the glaring typographical error that is my name! Yes, they misspelled my name. Hopefully, they're gonna send me a new one. Otherwise, I may just have to get medieval on their hineys! I was so excited to get the thing in the mail, but when I saw my name, my heart just fell. *sigh* I worked so hard for that certificate and they misspell my name.
Well...that's about it for excitement for me. I gotta work Friday, but have Saturday off. Then I work 5 days in a row! I work 5 days next week!!!! Whee!!
Wednesday was dull. I didn't do much that was exciting except for putting the YATTA! video in my post.
I did finish that picture I was working on in CorelDraw. I turned it into a JPG and played around a bit with the background. I was going to put it in my deviantART stuff, but it doesn't fit in any of their galleries/categories. I get through the Digital Art path only to be told that Anime stuff should be submitted to the Anime section. Then when I go through the Traditional Art path to find the Anime section, I get told that the pictures must not be created by computer. O_o Where do I put it? Oh, heck... I'll just submit it here.... after resizing it to the proper size for here.
I don't know what I'm going to do today. It is only 1:13 a.m..... haha!
Well, off to submit that picture to the fanart. Go take a look if you're so inclined. But be gentle in your criticism. It's truly different from my usual stuff.
Well, it's Wednesday afternoon and laundry is being done... I think I may actually have my laundry schedule back on track... but... if memory serves me correctly, my schedule next week has me working on Wednesday, so it may go out of whack again. O_o
*^*^*^*^*
Work last night was fairly dull. The big excitement was one of the railroaders buying us pizza for dinner. He wouldn't let us protest! Then he didn't eat any of it!!! Mike's too nice sometimes. Later on, I decided I needed a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. The first DQ I went to pissed me off. Bad move. The girl wasn't a very good worker. I got one Blizzard ordered and she never asked if I wanted anything else. Most drive-thrus ask if there's anything else we need. She got real snotty with me at the window, so I told her I didn't even want the one I ordered and went to a different DQ. The other one was much nicer and I complimented them on their service. ^_^
*^*^*^*^*^*
Okay... after careless consideration, I'm embedding the video I tormented my brother with the other night. If it comes through transparent like things tend to do here, there's a link underneath. Thing is, the link will more than likely give you a warning that it "may not be suitable" for people under the age of 18. So... here you go. I'd say "enjoy," but it is just so disturbing... on so many levels.
It's not easy typing along to Red Hot Chili Peppers....
Anyhoo... I'll be back later to visit sites. Don't have to work tonight! Woohoo!!
Laters!
*^*^*^*^*
Additional: A couple things came to mind after I posted this. The YATTA! video sure fits my theme of "Men Without Pants." I also did some research into the song...and I found this. Hmmm....very interesting.
It's 1:39 a.m.... I'm playing around looking for stuff to download on SonicStage. I should just download the couple songs I got picked out and then go to bed!!!!
Work Monday night was okay. It wasn't quite as busy as Mondays usually are. I had a few runs with the van, but not too many. I did mooch a hot fudge sundae off one of the railroaders on my last run. He offered to buy me one & I accepted. I don't usually want anything when they ask. I don't know why, but the ice cream sure sounded good.
*yawns*
Well, my mind seems to have gone blank, so I guess I'll post this.
Well, here I am. It's still Sunday night for me. I had tonight off. Spent my day doing as little as possible. One of the girls wanted me to work for her tonight and she'd take tomorrow for me. I declined. I needed to do laundry and just wanted to have a day where I didn't need to go anywhere in a car.
Work Saturday wasn't so bad. Nowhere near as busy as Wednesday, Thursday or Friday nights. Everyone had already checked in for the weekend events. I didn't have too many van runs until the last hour and a half of my shift. Then I was out in the van pretty much the rest of the night. Kind of fun, actually.
So, that's about it for my exciting life. I go find something to do now. Maybe read, maybe play with SonicStage some more. Who knows?
