Yatta!
That's my new word: Yatta! It translates loosely to "Sweet!" or "Yes!" I learned it from some site somewhere that's got something about manga on it. Can't remember where.
The site also had a link to a truly disturbing video from Japan for a song called "Yatta!" Seriously disturbing stuff. I will not torment you with it. I will, however, torment my brother with it. *insert evil giggle here*
*^*^*^*^*
Work Friday night was busy. Fortunately I was working with April and we had a pretty decent time. The big thing was the van finally broke down. It has been threatening to do so for months. So they got a temporary van.... Damn!!! It's a nice van! Handles so much nicer than the regular behemoth. However, it will be only until Wednesday that we have the nice one. *sigh*
I have to work again Saturday night. I'm working with the airhead. At least I get to drive the van again, so I hopefully won't have to spend too much time with her and her irritating giggle.
*^*^*^*^*
Well, that's about it. The video finally loaded... time to see if I can get my brother to watch it.

What a night!
Work Thursday was like a root canal.... long, drawn out and painful! I was supposed to work with the boss's daughter, but she couldn't work and switched it with the weekend daytime driver. He's got a clue as to what to do for most things at the desk, but he's very slow to get things done. I think there are glaciers that move faster than this guy!!! Needless to say, I was very happy when 11:00 pm rolled around and I could leave.
*^*^*^*^*
Let's see... other weirdness in my life. I somehow managed to teach my car a few new tricks. I bought Onigiri at a used car place. It has a clicker keychain thingy that locks & unlocks the doors, pops the trunk open and has a panic button that starts up a lot of noisy whistling. I've had Onigiri for 2.5 years now. About a month after I got him, I was fumbling in my coat pocket for the keys and somehow managed to hit something on the clicker that made him start up while I was standing about 30 feet away. Cool! He's got remote start! The guy I got him from didn't even know it had a remote starter.
Anyhoo... Tuesday when I was driving down to Omaha, I stopped at a rest area on the interstate. My Dad was going to lock the doors using the button on the door. I told him not to do that because the clicker won't unlock it then and pushed some buttons on the clicker. We heard a couple chirping noises and thought it was coming from one of the semi-trucks parked a way over from us. Then all of a sudden Onigiri started to make all sorts of whistle noises. I somehow managed to arm the alarm on him!!! Now he chirps when I lock or unlock him with the clicker. I just have to remember to shut the door before I hit lock on the clicker or the alarm goes off and makes a racket. And when I turn off the ignition, the interior dome light comes on. That really confused me last night. I didn't notice it until tonight that it came on when I turned the key to "Off."
So, I have no clue what combination of buttons I pushed to get all that to start up. When I discovered the remote start, it took about 3 weeks for me to figure out what I hit. I don't know if I'll ever be able to figure out what I did the other day.
*^*^*^*^*
Well, it's about half past midnight now. I'm munching crunchy twisted Cheetos and trying not to get orange fingerprints all over the keyboard. There's a can of Coca-cola sitting to my right. I shouldn't be drinking it at this time of night, but I didn't have enough money for a grape soda.

Gaaaaaahhhh!!!!!!!
So.. what up? It's about 12:45 am on Thursday. Wednesday at work sucked. There were a few screwups by the person whom I relieved that made for a frustrating night and I just don't care anymore!!! I'm too tired to whine about it. Just suffice it to say... I didn't have fun at work. I gotta work again tonight. Blah.
*^*^*^*^*
So... now it is official that I am a Master CIW Designer. I got the logo downloaded and everything. I just gotta wait for the actual certificate to arrive in the mail. Now the goal is to have a job to go with that title!
*^*^*^*^*
I think I'm gonna go play around with SonicStage for a while and then off to bed with me!

Yes, it's uncanny to see. You'd really think it was me.
Well, it's just about Wednesday, and I'm one seriously tired Kitsune. If I'm this tired, imagine how Onigiri feels! He's the one that started to overheat in Council Bluffs!
This is what the poor little beastie has been through the past week...
Wednesday the 14th: trip to Omaha to get parents at the airport at 11:00 pm & then back home again. That's a round trip a little over 200 miles.
Thursday the 15th: to Sioux City & back: 60 miles total; then to Sioux Falls: another 110 miles.
Friday the 16th: back from Sioux Falls: 110 miles.
Saturday the 17th: to Sioux City & back: another 60 miles or more.
Sunday the 18th & Monday the 19th: work... over 110 miles total.
Tuesday the 20th: down to Omaha to take the E-commerce test and the parents to my sister's house... 260 miles!
An approximate total milage accumulation of 910 miles!! No wonder Onigiri was objecting in Omaha. Actually the overheating was because I was using the air conditioning in stop & go city driving. I didn't run the A/C at all on the way home.
*^*^*^*^*
Speaking of the E-commerce test... I passed the thing!!! I am now a Master CIW Designer. Sounds impressive, don't it? Now all I need to do is find a job that will utilize that title.
*^*^*^*^*
Well, I know I said the other night that I was going to get the wedding pictures up sometime Tuesday, but as I got home from Omaha at 10:00 pm, it isn't getting very far tonight. I'm going to try to get somewhere on it tomorrow before work. Right now... brain cell is fried and not working quite the way I want it to.
*^*^*^*^*
I think that it may be time for this unit to wander off. Brain cell is malfunctioning... and is being distracted by its favorite TV show. The new season of Dead Zone has begun! w00t!
Oh, yeah... putting a dime up my brother's nose. He was counting some at work and I asked if I could shove one up his nose. He said "No." He's no fun at all....

My brother is no fun at all!!!
He won't let me shove a dime up his nose!
*^*^*^*^*^*^*
Well, it's 11:30 on Monday night. Half hour left of work. It was busy as Mondays are. Tomorrow I have off so I can go to Omaha for a couple reasons: 1. to take my parents to my sister's house so they can fly back to Maryland; and 2. to finally take that E-commerce test. I'm dreading the second reason....
That's about all I have to say for now. So, hopefully at some time tomorrow I'll have put up pictures from the wedding for you all to see.

No, really, we are a hedge. Move along.
It's about 11:21 pm on Sunday night. I've got just under 40 minutes of work left. Woohoo! It was a pretty nice day today. Really quiet.
I don't know when I'm gonna get the pictures from the wedding up. You see, my parents are home for a couple more days, and my mom says I spend too much time on the computer. I just can't convince her that if I want to do web design stuff, I have to be on the computer. It never sinks in for her. She sits and makes noises about how much time I waste on the thing and wishes they were never invented... then she goes and starts up my old Windows 95 beast and plays games. *rolls eyes*
Anyhoo....there were a few other cool things that happened in the past several days.
Wednesday night at the airport, there was a bunch of young people waiting for someone. They were arguing if the one guy they saw was the right guy. Then this handsome young man in army fatigues walks up and one girl gets all excited and they had a nice long hug with some kisses. Then the guy got down on one knee and proposed to her on the spot! It was so sweet!!!!
Thursday was spent running around like a maniac in the Younkers store trying to find something to wear to the wedding. Mom insisted I wear a dress.
Friday was the day of the wedding. The weather was warm, but cloudy. Fortunately the rain held off until the service was over and we were at the reception. Then it cut loose from the sky and Sioux Falls got about 1.25 inches of rain in about an hour. We drove home that evening in the rain. Not fun being drenched by every semi that went by. We also saw that Sioux City got about 4 inches of rain from that storm and had flooding in the streets. Someone said the interstate was closed and manhole covers were blown off by the water. Wild.
Saturday was spent running around with my brother. We ate at Perkins and did some of the usual stuff we do on Fridays.
So, now it's Sunday for another half hour. Not much going on here. Gotta work tomorrow. Then I have Tuesday off. I've got to take the parentals back to Omaha for their flight back East. I'm also going to take that E-Commerce test... finally.... I'm not looking forward to that one at all.
That's about it for me for now.

I'm back home.
Actually, I got home on Friday night. I just didn't turn on the computer until a little while ago. Now I'm trying to get through email and fight a headache. Ick.
The wedding was nice. It was cloudy out and the rain was nice enough to hold off until we were at the reception. Then all hell broke loose and it poured like mad. I'll have some pictures for you eventually. I haven't downloaded them off the camera yet. When I do get them downloaded, I'll put in a linky thing like I did with my birthday cookie. I got a couple really good pictures of the bride & groom. *giggle*
Well, I think I'm gonna go finish the email and maybe go to bed. My head hurts.

It's Thursday. I'm in a Comfort Inn in Sioux Falls and my toes are cold. The wedding is tomorrow. If you're lucky (or unlucky) enough, you may get to see a picture of a very rare occurence: Me in a dress!!!
Well, I'm gonna wander off now.

Warning: You are now entering a Rant Zone!
If you don't want to read the mildly irate rantings of a slightly pissed off, tired Kitsune, please go up to the intro area and either watch the kitten wrestling or the Great Moments in Translation. They're both a lot more fun than the following rant.
*^*^*^*^*^*
Tuesday night at work was one of "those" nights. The girl I worked with, who was mentioned in the post from yesterday, was at it again. She was overworked. She did absolutely everything and I didn't do a damn thing. Or at least that's the way she sees it. She's just a self-centered lazy cow that hasn't a thought for anyone else in the world. She had to check in six walk-ins in a row while I was out on a van run!! OMFG!!! Isn't the purpose of working at a motel checking people in? I was supposed to get the van to a carwash tonight. I came in after a run to let her know I was going to do that. She said, "You're going to wait. I have to smoke." That's her big thing. Things get busy. She has to smoke to get over it. No, she has to smoke so she can spend another 15 to 20 minutes on personal phone calls!!! That's why I want to slap the crap out of Alexander Graham Bell and knee the cellphone guy in the groin. I swear that she gets at least 10 personal calls a night on either the motel's phone lines or her own cellphone.
At times like these, my days in management come back to haunt me. I will mentally kick into "assistant manager mode" and start to come up with employee evaluations for her. If I was management at that motel, she wouldn't be working there anymore!
Arrrggggghhhh!!!!! I'm ready to tear my hair out sometimes. Well, I feel a little better now. It helps to get this off my chest.
*^*^*^*^*^*
Well, once again, it's approaching that magical hour of 2:00 am. I should be in bed, but I won't go for at least another half hour. I have so much stuff I gotta do during the day today before driving down to Omaha to get the parentals. At least their plane comes in at 11:00 pm, so I can get it all done in the afternoon and then leave around 8:30 or 9:00 to get there in time to get them. I just hope their plane isn't delayed anywhere.
So...I'll probably not be on the next few days. I'll try to update when I can between now & Saturday, but definitely don't expect visits out of me. I'm not going to have access to my computer for a few days. Not taking it up to Soo Foo for the wedding.

Let's go back in time....
... and slap the crap out of Alexander Graham Bell! Yes, I want to slap the man for inventing the telephone. And while we're at it, I think whoever was the moving force behind the technology now known as the cell phone needs a good knee to the groin!!!
*^*^*^*^*^*
Monday night at work was all right. It was busy, as Mondays tend to be. I had a few runs with the van, but not a lot. A bunch of people checked in, mostly construction guys. The girl I worked with was dangerously close to making me lose it. There's actually too much that I could go on about her, so I won't actually bore you with the details. Just suffice it to say, I'm glad she's going on vacation starting Wednesday, so I can get to be away from her for a while.
*^*^*^*^*^*
I get a mini-vacation starting Wednesday, too! My neice is getting married on Friday! I have to drive down to Omaha on Wednesday to pick my parents up at the airport. Then Thursday, it's up to Sioux Falls for the wedding on Friday. Then I gotta go back to Omaha on the following Tuesday to take the parents back so they can fly out Wednesday morning. @_@ My poor little car!!
*^*^*^*^*^*
Well, it's the wee hours of the morning again. Only 1:30 instead of 2:30. I still should be in bed sleeping instead of fiddle-farting around online! I think I'll be off now to do something semi-creative. Should be interesting considering I am a little tired and my eyes are drying out again.

Additional: I added an animation to my intro area a little over 12 hours ago. I re-did it because I felt it needed a reaction from Kenshin. The lines from Ren, the Orachi, are how the online version had it translated. Silly, isn't it?
Now it is almost 2:30... time to go to bed!!!!
