   Music!!!!

I like downloading music. My brother got some codes from a friend of his for free downloads from Sony SonicStage. My brother couldn't get the software to download on his computer, so he gave me the codes. So...I've now got a really odd combination of music on SonicStage. Here's a list:

   Boredom and the Attack of the Whirly-bird Seeds

I'm bored. Really. I have been bored pretty much since I got up this morning. It didn't take very long for me to end up bored today. I'm so bored that watching the animated weather maps on weather.com was interesting for a short time. A very short time.

If all the whirly-bird seeds that have fallen out of the trees here took root and grew into trees, there'd be one incredibly dense forest in this town.

There was a thunderstorm tonight. Just as I expected. It rained a bunch. Lightning flashed. Then it stopped for a bit, but I hear thunder again.

I tried to play with Dreamweaver a bit earlier, but didn't have the patience to do so. I should find my books from class and do the labs from them to start to practice with it.

I should go to bed or something. I need to study for e-commerce!!! I need a better paying job where I don't have to put up with screaming idiots. I need a lot of stuff....

   Ooops...my bad.

As you can probably tell, the music has been taken down. Angelfire disabled my site because of the file. I don't see it as a huge loss, as I hardly ever used that site for anything. I just wish they had put up a disclaimer about it on the page where files are uploaded. Hopefully, we've all learned something from this.

However, it's a big shame because the song was really funny and fit the theme perfectly.

Well, it's Tuesday. I have the day off. Yay. The only drawback is now I have to work on Friday. *sigh*

My day got off to a real good start. I kept waking up a lot earlier than I usually do. I'm talking like after 3 or 4 hours of sleep! Not the time to get out of bed. I did manage to get back to sleep and slept until 10:00 as usual. Then it was downstairs for breakfast and reading the paper. Well, I didn't finish reading the paper because I decided to have a bloody nose!!! I really hate my sinuses sometimes.

I still haven't finished reading the paper. I kind of lost the recliner to the cat. She's taking over the space as usual.

I really should do something constructive here. I've got so much studying to do and a few pictures that I want or need to get drawn. But it's so hard to motivate when one's mind is elsewhere. I'm not sure where it went, but it sure isn't here with me right now!

Hello all! It's Monday! I've got a bunch of stuff I need to do today before work! So why am I sitting here on the computer? ACK!

Yeah, I need to run into Sioux City a bit early so I can hit Target for supplies and the library to return books.

It's probably going to be busy at work tonight, so I'm not taking the laptop along. If things go right, I'll have tomorrow off and will be able to do some serious visitation then. So, apologies for not being by tonight, okay?

I better finish up the email and get the stuff together that needs to go to the library.

   Success!!!!

It took searching for my Angelfire log-in name, but success has been attained! As you have no doubt noticed, there is a song up here now. I told you all it was appropriate for the theme!!! It's Tribute to Pants from Mystery Science Theater 3000. I'll keep it up for a while. At least until I get bored with it.

Sunday! My plans are the same as Saturday: WORK! Last night was rather boring for a Saturday night. Not a lot going on, even with a wedding reception in the back. I should have taken the computer. I may take it tonight, just to see if it gets busier. Haha! I gotta do some studying for the E-commerce test still. *sigh* I seem to be stuck on that thing, don't I?

Well, I suppose I should finish up email now. It's a little after 1:00 pm and I want to make something to take for lunch for work tonight. It's not that it'll take 2 hours to make, I just want something homemade for dinner instead of fast food for a change.

   At last!!!!!

The new theme is up and running!!! I worked at it until about 1:30 this morning and did some final tweaking of things this afternoon. So... here it is! What do you think?

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the music up that I had picked out to go with the theme. I managed to get it converted into a WAV file, but in the process, the file went from about 700 KB to 16.6 MB!!! Way too big. So, unless someone knows of a free hosting site that will take WMA files, there won't be any music. Which is too bad, because the song fits the theme perfectly!


I suppose I could go down and do some tweaking on the previous posts, but I just don't feel like it.

Let's see... my plans for today: WORK! Blah. It's nice out again and I don't really want to go to work. But then again, if it was storming out there, I wouldn't want to go either. I really hate that place.

Hmm... one more thing to experiment with. Adding a photo within a post. Let's see if it comes out semi-transparent, too! Or maybe not.... Photobucket decided to go down for maintenance just as I decided to test a picture in this. *sigh* I suppose I'll try it again at a later point in time, space & reality.

   Progress has been made.... to a point.

Well, I downloaded three different screen cap programs this afternoon. I thought I made some progress with them, but when I opened up the images in either Fireworks or Corel PhotoPaint, they showed up as black!!!! AAAARGGGHHH!!! So, I decided to try something a little different with my background image. I also tried to get my music file converted to a WAV file, but I don't know where my computer put the silly thing! *blush*

It was a day off for me today. Woohoo!!! It was really nice outside, too. So, what did I do? I stayed inside and played on my computer all afternoon!!! I did eventually go out for a walk with my brother after dinner. Had to walk off that spaghetti. *burrrrrp*

Moths are banging against the screens on the windows in here!!! Yeeeek! As long as they stay out there and not come in here, I'll be fine. Certain types of moths really freak me out. But... by the amount of noise they are making, it sounds like these things are the size of small dogs!!!!

Well, I assume many of you are through with school or very close to it. I hope you all have a great summer!!!

And now it's time for me to do a little more work on my background. Then... maybe to find that music file.

   Grrr!!!

Still can't get that image to come out properly for my background. I've manipulated it and manipulated it until I'm blue in the face, and I'm still not happy with it!!!! Aaargh!!! I may have to resort to a slightly different background image here.... Unless someone out there knows of a good screen cap program that will get pictures from DVDs as they're played in Windows Media Player. Arrgh.... then I gotta figure out if I can convert a sound file into a WAV file. *pounds head on table* Why do I do this to myself? Why? Why? Why?

Sorry again. I'm frustrated. I'd put a lot of effort into it today, but I gotta work tonight. Blah. Stupid work!    Late post!!!

I didn't post this morning. Ooops! It was so nice out today. I actually pulled out the old cut-offs and wore shorts!!!! And sandals!!! It felt so nice.

I worked at my theme a little more. I think I have the avatar done finally. The background is giving me fits yet. I just can't get the image I want to cooperate with the size I want it to be. I worked at it for about a half hour this afternoon and got nowhere with it. Well, not entirely nowhere. I did get an idea of what to do with the thing, but not quite right yet.

Well, I think I'm going to try to get that image a little clearer here....

   Mmmm....pancakes!!!

Tuesday lunch is pancakes!!! I've been hungry for this for a long time. I finally broke down and got one of them nuke-o-matic pancake meals. It's quick, it's nasty, it hits the spot!

Work last night was odd. For a Monday, it was unusually quiet. Sure we had a lot of construction guys check in, but they didn't come in all at one time like usual. And there weren't very many van runs. I think I had the thing out three times. Twice to the railyard and once to get supper. Really weird.

Drunk people can be so aggravating, yet so entertaining. There was a group of men from Norway in last night. They went down to the bars downtown and came back around 11:30 last night and were totally plastered. They wanted us to open up the bar so they could get more beer. The bar is under separate management from the motel and we can't do that! One of them handed me a $10 bill and wanted a bottle of water. I gave him one out of the fridge, which are supposed to be for employees only. He seemed to be happy with that and they walked away. The bottle of water only costs 50 cents!!!! They didn't take their change!!! Like I said, aggravating, but entertaining.

Well, gotta work tonight again. Then off tomorrow, work Thursday & off Friday. I don't like my days off split like that, but I'm actually getting 40 hours this week! *gasp*

Hopefully, the new theme will be ready soon! I've got just a couple things to do yet and it will be ready. *insert evil giggle here*
