   Easily distracted by shiny things....

Well, there's not too many shiny things around, but I am easily distracted tonight. I think it's because I feel like crap. Allergies are having a field day with me, and I don't like it one bit.

I'm at work as usual. It's boring compared to last night, but I don't really feel bored. I guess that's because my head hurts too much for me to notice much else.

Onigiri gets fixed on Friday. That means no trip to Omaha. I gotta put that off until a later date. In a way, it's good, because I'm not even close to prepared for the test I'm gonna take.

I think I shall leave you all for now. My brain is threatening to ooze out of my head. Blah...

   Grrrrr......

Short post tonight. At work. Had the lobby full of Mexican construction workers and Southern truckers at one point. Whee. It's been busy.

I'm a little put out at a couple of my coworkers. They switched shifts, so I'm the main desk person and am working with the boss's daughter. The one that doesn't really know how to do anything. She did help out by making keys during that rush with the construction workers & truckers. That helped. That's about it.

I'm going to apologize right now for not visiting sites tonight. I'm just too tired to really deal with the computer. Yahoo is acting wonky and I'm getting a bit fed up with it. I may just say t'heck with the internet and play Mah Jongg for a while until I need to do some real work.

   Don't mind the mess....

...I'm trying to redo the introduction area up there. I'm not quite happy with how it looks right now. That intro thingy is rather long.... I gotta do something a little different with it. So...bear with me as I rearrange things the next few days.

Today's excitement was a little blip in the power at home while I was watching Kenshin. The power was off for about 30 seconds if even that long. My sister called a little later to ask if we had power. A friend of hers that lives on the west side of Main Street like I do didn't have power. Later my brother & I walked down for ice cream cones and noticed the cause of the power blip. One of the poles that the lines are attached to was leaning at a rather odd angle. We couldn't tell if someone had run into it or not, but it was a good indication of why there was a blip. There was one utility truck there and two more were coming into town as I left for work. One was carrying a new pole. Whee!!!

   Wahahahahahahahahahaa!!!!!!

Well, here it is, Saturday! Woohoo. If you detect a lack of enthusiasm, it's because I don't get normal weekends like most people. I have to work tonight. Blah.

Work yesterday was all right. I had to deal with the air-head chatterbox all day. Had just a couple runs with the van. It was such a nice day out, that I was really happy to be able to go out and enjoy it from the viewpoint of behind the wheel.

Well, I got through another disk in my Kenshin set last night. Didn't feel like doing anything on the computer, so after Doctor Who was over, my brother went online and I started to watch. I did that until about 11:30-ish and then turned over the remote control to my brother and went to bed. I'd been up since 5:45 am!!!!

So, there you have it. Yesterday was mellow. Today has barely started for me, even though it's 11:36 am. I guess I'm gonna figure out something to do here. Gotta contemplate lunch.

   Why can't I set my laser printer on stun?

Well, I was so bad yesterday... I ended up going to Sioux City anyway. But my brother drove, so I didn't break my vow not to drive anywhere yesterday.

I did get to Tuffy to find out what's wrong with Onigiri. It's the EGR valve. Something that deals with exhaust and gas stuff. Something's that's about $250 to fix. Yeeek! I can drive it, but the guy said Onigiri will be a bit sluggish. *sigh* I don't have that money! He's also got a wire that has a worn casing. That would be about $120 to fix. My brother says that's one of the things I could probably fix myself. Cars can be so expensive!

I finally got my $20 coupon from Best Buy. I think I did rather well with my purchase. I found a coupon for 30% off a DVD. I looked all over it for an expiration date, but didn't see one. I asked a customer service person if I could use it with the $20 coupon, and she said I could and initialed it. The cashier noticed it was expired, but went to ask if I could use it and I got the 30% off! Yay. I know... you're all wondering what DVD I got. I got the first season of Ruruoni Kenshin for cheap! It was marked $58.99 and I got it (and a pack of gum) for $23.84 with tax! Woohoo!!!

Well, I better boogie now. I gotta be to work at 8 tomorrow morning. That means I gotta get up around 5:45 to be able to get ready and get there. It's 10:40 pm right now. *sigh* I should've switched shifts with April. Then I would be going to work at 3 pm instead. *sigh*

"Thank you for calling Debby. This is Tuffy." Umm... well, that was a good laugh for the day. I had the "Service Engine Soon" light come on in Onigiri while sitting at a stop light the other day. It wasn't because of an ill-fitting gas-cap or bad fuel injectors. I don't know why it came on. I am going to take the wee white beasty in to Tuffy Auto Center tomorrow to find out what the problem is and if I have to take Onigiri out behind a shed and put a bullet behind his rear-view mirrors. Oh...sorry, you didn't see that.

Well, last night at work was kinda busy. I had a lot of van runs and spent pretty much most of what time I was out of the van studying e-commerce. I should be doing that right now, but it's Wednesday and that means laundry day as usual! Whee. However, my plan is to get through the first e-commerce book today and tomorrow. That means I have 4-1/2 chapters to get through in a day & a half. I should stop goofing off and study, eh?

Let's see... what other excitement has been going on? Not much. After several days in the upper 70s to upper 80s, it's kind of cool outside. I think it's in the upper 50s out there right now. Maybe even to the lower 60s. Kind of a nice cool change, but the wind is beginning to get on my nerves. It's been so windy the past couple weeks. I just glanced out the window here in the dining room and can see the top of the big tree over by the church moving around. It's a really tall old tree, so it must be really windy out there again. I can get so wound up by the wind. *sigh* Must find my happy place....

It feels kind of nice to stay at home for once. I have been somewhere everyday since the 6th of April. The only day in that bunch that I didn't drive was the 7th. My brother drove that day. So, it's no wonder that I don't really want to go anywhere today.

Well...my download is 68% through. *sigh* It's taking forever!

Happy Easter

Yes, it's Easter! I'm at work as usual for a Sunday night. Not much went on today before work. Just dinner over at my sister's house. She cooked a ham and potatoes and veggies. It was pretty good.

I picked on my niece and played with the cats. I even got to hold a couple of the kittens. Their eyes are all open now. They're so cute!!!! So, without further ado.... pictures of kittens!!

   I don't wanna!!!

I suppose I could go get my laundry out of the dryer and fold it. *sigh* But I don't really wanna do that either. There's just so much I don't want to do, eh?

Like I said, it's Friday. I have to work tonight. That's what I get for switching last Saturday for tonight with the other driver. But it also set me up for six days in a row of working. Man I hate not having a regular schedule.

Let's see...more about my trip to Omaha the other day. I almost got wiped out by a dump truck! He decided to change lanes without bothering to check if there was anyone beside him. He was changing lanes to avoid running into the back end of a stalled semi, but running over a little white Neon would probably have been a helluva lot worse! If either the semi or I had been hit, it would have tied up a rather busy intersection on a rather busy street for quite a while. I'm just happy my horn works and that I didn't get nailed by that dump truck.

Now, the two idiots that turned into the lane ahead of me in Sioux City yesterday need to be whacked upside the head and told a thing or two about looking to see if other traffic is out there, too!

Well, I suppose I will go finish my email now. I apologize for not being by sites very much this past couple of weeks. I've got a lot going on besides work. Will keep you all up to date on it as things unfold.
