Oh...the weather outside is frightful...

Well...here I am at work and the weather sucks! It's cold and windy. Some snow fell and it's just plain icky! My brother drove me to work so I get to stay here overnight while he works. Yippee!!!

I haven't had to go on any runs for the railroad tonight. I did go fill up the van with go-juice and picked up dinner for my coworker. That was about 2-1/2 hours ago.

Well. Nothing else exciting is going on with me right now. I think I'm gonna turn this little beast off and do something creative. I've got parts of story bouncing around my head and want to get things onto paper. Whee!!!

   Noodles are so yummy!!!

Monday evening at the motel & the laptop is getting toasty.

Yeah...I'm at work. Thrillsville! It's been quiet as usual. I've been out on three runs, however. To the railyard twice & 4th Street once. I'll probably have to hit 4th Street again to pick up the guys I dropped off down there. Otherwise, it's been very quiet.

It's supposed to snow tonight. I hope it doesn't snow too much. It's a half-hour drive home in the dark. Snowy conditions don't make for fun driving.

I picked up Kenshin #20 the other day. Dang....I want #21 now. It's not out until next month, however. *sigh*

I may have to do a picture from that one.

Well. That's about all I have to say. It's time to give the laptop a rest. It's getting a bit warmish.

Well. We went to the hockey game tonight. Musketeers won it 7 to 4 over the Steel. We got donuts & milk again. With there being more than 5 goals, we also got Cheesy Bread from Domino's. I should try to remember to get the donuts tomorrow since my brother gave his ticket to one of the girls at work so she can get them.

I probably shouldn't have gone to the game. I should have gone to talk to my doctor friend about this cough that just won't go away. But... I don't usually have Saturday nights off and there was a home hockey game....

So...tonight I am tired and headachy. Part of it is the cough, but another part is the wind. It's gotten very windy since late in the afternoon. I get very jumpy when there's a lot of wind. I think I will go to bed and read for a while.

Well, thanks for the well-wishes yesterday, gang. In general, I don't feel bad. I feel all right most of the time. I just go through these coughing fits that make me feel like I'm gonna turn inside out.

Comment on a comment: Caprice, the fleas of 1000 camels infesting her armpits isn't harsh enough. Give me time and I may be able to come up with something truly wicked to do to her.

Well, I had today/Friday off and it was nice out. Went to Sioux City with my brother and over to the hotel to look at my schedule. I have Saturday off, too! That's four days in a row off!!! What the heck?!?!?! We're probably going to go to a hockey game tomorrow.

Which reminds me... *opens up another tab in Firefox and pulls up the USHL website* ...time to check score on tonight's game over in Cheddar Rapids. *checks score* CRAP!!!!!!

I've been reading an interesting book: Legends of the Samurai. I don't remember the author's name right off the top of my head. It's truly been an interesting read. I just started the chapter about Oda Nobunaga, and he seems to be an interesting individual. However, the ones that I want to find out more about are Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin. The chapter about them was very interesting. I almost cried when I heard how they died. They didn't die in battle, but both died of illness. How sad.

Well, 'tis just past midnight and I have Pink Floyd songs running through my head.

I feel like crap right now. My head hurts. My throat hurts. My lungs are full of gunk. My eyes are dry. I'm so frickin' sick of this! It's going on a month that I've been dealing with this crud. I keep hearing "Once you shake it, you'll be fine." Well, I'd like to "shake it" already! Everyone else at work seems to be over it by now... including the wench that started it all! I still want to beat the crap out of her.

Interesting tidbit: I was helping my parents with putting plastic over the windows on the front of the house this afternoon. When we were working on the outside of the house, I didn't cough near as much as when I'm inside. I also sat on the porch steps and lay down on the porch to absorb some sun. It was nice and toasty as my black leather jacket absorbed the rays.

Dang... I wish I was that slim.

Yes... a haiku about apathy. I am at home on the slow dialup. Yippee. While waiting for pages to load, I've been playing solitaire. I just clicked on the "deal another row" card a bunch of times to end the game, simply because I decided I didn't care about it anymore....

I spent some time trying to catch up on my guestbook replying. I got to a few sites. But that meant I sacrificed visiting those who updated on the 9th. Sumimasen!!!

Well, I'm gonna go refill this bottle of water, so I have it for overnight. I'm still coughing up a lung half the night. It's been three weeks that this has been going on and I'm sick of it! I cough so hard, I feel like I'm gonna turn inside out! Stupid Kendra at work! Spreading her germs around for all of us to get sick. Grrrr!!!!

Dang, it's quiet here tonight. I have been out in the van twice. Once to take a couple of the railroaders to a restaurant and once to take the maintenance guy home. Whee. *falls over from the excitement*

Well, I did some tweaking on the firewall/security thing I have on this little laptop and I can now leave comments on posts. However, it's still acting a little odd and I managed to post 4 times on someone's site. Oops. I did manage to delete two of the four.

I have three days off in a row starting tomorrow! Yay! I think I will spend much of tomorrow doing as little as possible. Perhaps I may spend a good amount of time reading manga. *insert evil giggle here* My parents won't be home for much of the day, so I can pretty much do what I want. Kewl.

Hmm... the wind is coming up outside. It was really warm today. Something like 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It's not supposed to be that warm in November. Not that I'm complaining, but when it finally decides to be winter, it's probably gonna hit hard!

Well...I don't know if it's me or what, but I can't comment on sites tonight. For some reason, myO has decided that I'm not logged in when I hit the submit button after commenting. I hope it's just an isolated happening and not a sign of things to come.

Well, I'm at work and it's fairly quiet. I've taken the van out a couple of times to get food or take people to the casino. No railroaders tonight... weird.

I've been fooling around with the wireless and it's so nice and speedy. Whee. I think I may go over to one of the super-slow computers and see if I can comment from there.

   I feeeeel happeeeeee!!!!!!

Sunday evening at work. Boredom is trying to creep up upon me. Suddenly I realize that I didn't post anything for Saturday. Then, just as suddenly, I realize that I may not care....

Anyhoo... Saturday was pretty busy at work. We were sold out for the night. There were concert-goers and a hockey team in the hotel. Then there was the Frat Party back in the ballroom. Nothing like a bunch of drunk college kids to make life interesting!

We didn't have too many odd complaints. Just one whiny guy that was a little upset that the beds in his room were only "double" and not "king" sized. Then there was the lady that claimed that there were no towels in the pool area five minutes after my coworker took a large amount of towels to the pool. Evidently since she didn't hand the lady a towel, there weren't any there. Sheesh...some people.

Tonight has been fairly quiet. Nothing too exciting except for the creepy guy that decided I needed to know why he's no longer allowed to ride on any Greyhound bus. Fortunately, I was "rescued" from him by a couple of the railroaders needing a ride to the yard. He was, however, still at the front desk annoying the other girl that is working tonight. We finally got rid of him....

My brother & I went to see The Legend of Zorro this afternoon. Great movie! I can find little wrong with looking at Antonio Banderes for a couple hours. *sigh* I better stop drooling or I may short out the keyboard.

Well... I can't think of anything else exciting to say here. Maybe tomorrow night I'll bring the laptop and hook up to the wireless. Wheee.... that will give me some speed online!

   Big, non-exciting, noodle-free day...

Friday has ended and it's now Saturday, just past midnight. w00t!

Well, I can't say that it's been totally non-exciting. I did find out that my Kakashi picture made it into the December Shonen Jump magazine. That was pretty exciting. I didn't get any notification from them that it was being printed.

Otherwise, not much went on. My brother got up a little after 3 pm and we eventually went to Sioux City. We thought about seeing a movie, but missed the matinee showing of anything we wanted to see. So we didn't go to any movie. We ended up out at the mall for food and a sedate stroll around it. I got my own copy of Shonen Jump. Then we went to Target, where I bought socks and a waste paper basket for my bedroom. Now I don't have to throw my kleenex on the floor!!! Then home again.

Well, I think I may have to go to bed here. My eyes are starting to dry out and I should try to get a halfway decent night's sleep 'cause I gotta work tomorrow. Whee....
