This world is made of Love and Peace....

...and Jellybeans!

Monday afternoon... It's now about 1:45 pm and I'm multitasking again. I've got this open in IE, and Netscape is currently handling both Yahoo & Hotmail. I'm surprised I'm not confused.

Work was pretty quiet last night. There was a staff party all night. I went for a little while and won a cool Coca-Cola t-shirt. Then I went back to the front desk and was rather bored up there until I had to do a few runs to the depot. After that, I was bored some more. Around 10:30 or so, I had to take one of the staff home. She & her husband were rather drunk. He kept wanting me to talk to them. All I wanted out of them was directions to their house. In the end, it netted me another $9!!! I'm seriously considering squandering that $9 frivolously on manga. I squandered part of the $7 from Saturday on ice cream.

Well, tomorrow I have off. I haven't fully decided what I'm going to do. With gas prices going up like they have been, I may save gas & stay here. So... if I'm going to get that manga, I should leave here early so I can go to the mall.... Hmm... It's 1:54 pm now. I work at 4:00. It's about a half hour drive over there. Okay, if I leave at 2:30, I'll be at the mall around 3:00. That gives me time to grab the manga I want, and maybe also go get a bottle of water at the grocery store. Hmm.... decisions, decisions.

Will try to visit you guys tomorrow night!!!

Not all that tired at this point in time!

Sunday afternoon!

Well, I just spent two hours reading two days worth of email. Blah.... It would have been done quicker if my connection wasn't so slow today. Oh, well... that's part of the joy of dialup.

Anyhoo... I survived work last night. I got to do a lot of driving around. I had to do a couple grocery runs for the bartender for the wedding reception. Then there were several trips to the depot to pick up railroad guys. I lost count of how many times I had to run out there. A couple of them wanted to hit a grocery store and fast food places, too. Then there was the run to the riverboat casino, which netted me a $3 tip! And about a half hour before the end of my shift, a run to 4th Street where the bars are for members of the wedding party. While there, a couple others from the wedding party needed a ride back to the motel, which I gladly gave them! That run netted me $4! So...I made $7 in tips. Whee!!! I gotta drive again tonight, but as it's Sunday, I don't know how much I'll have to do. Probably will be mostly runs to the depot.

Well...since it's now 1:20* pm and I haven't had lunch yet, I think I'm going to go downstairs and eat the lunch I packed for work last night, but didn't eat. We got food from the reception! Yummy!

* I actually wrote it at 1:10 pm, but as the computer was acting funny, I saved this post in a Notepad file. Then I had to restart the stupid computer as it froze up on me!!! Now I'm really hungry....

   So müde... so tödliche müde....

Um, Friday, right?

Well, I had today off. I'm still so freaking tired. Work is still confusing. I worked the 3 to 11 shift Wednesday & Thursday nights. Tomorrow, Sunday & Monday, I have to work 4 to 12. I don't really like the night hours for work, you know... I'd rather have a nice Monday thru Friday, 9 to 5 job, but at this point, I'm happy to have this much. I just haven't had the heart to tell the manager that I'm still looking for a real job. I went through this schooling thing to get the web design certification so I wouldn't have to work some job with no set schedule!

I thank you all for the wishes/commands of sleep from that post last night. It was almost 2:00 a.m. when I put that up! Heck, right now it's 1:20 a.m according to the clock next to the computer! I gotta get to bed!!! I would have slept 'til 10 again this morning if the phone hadn't rung at 8:48! It's called "Grab the bathrobe and dash across the hall to answer the stupid thing!" It was a friend of the family wanting the address to where the parents are. He keeps forgetting it.

Well, my brother & I went to see The Brothers Grimm today. It was a truly odd movie. Some parts were hard to follow, but it was different. It's definitely not a kids movie! There were a few rather scary things in that movie! Well, scary to little kids maybe. Heath Ledger & Matt Damon are the leads in it. Heath Ledger is so cute in this. Heck, he's so cute in anything! Matt Damon isn't too bad, either....

And on that note, I think I better go to bed! My brother probably will want the phone line vacated so he can get online downstairs with his laptop. I'll have more exploits of work for you... or complaints. Whichever ends up being the more entertaining of the two.

May I be excused? My brain is full!

Wednesday night... sort of.

Well, I've been back from work for about a half hour now...maybe 45 minutes. I'm so tired. I should just go to bed! Exciting things I did: took towels and pillows to a room, answered the phone a bunch of times, went to the railroad depot and picked up workers a couple times, and got greeted very odd by one of the railroad guys... He walked in, saw me behind the counter and said, "Oh, god! Not another H********!" The guy was a classmate of my brother's. I told him the last clear memory I have of him was him hitting me in the head with his class ring. That was over 25 years ago! I was in 8th grade and he was a senior.

Anyhoo...I gotta finish my email now. But first, Kenshin will now express the way I felt at work:

Additional: I almost forgot! The announcement that my parents were returning next week is no longer valid. They got asked to do another month of volunteer work. Same thing happened back in June, when they were to come home at the beginning of July. They got asked to stay two more months then... Well, I guess that means another month of freedom on this thing!

   Monkeys!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday night and my brain has been slipping in and out of another dimension for a while now.

Let's start off with a cartoon. I've always liked this strip and thought it was appropriate for the bunch of us.

Well... things are gonna be a little different for a while now. I got that job I had the interview for today. I start tomorrow afternoon at 3:00. If I work the whole shift, I'll be there until 11:00. I'll be working front desk at the motel where my brother works. It's not exactly what I want to do with the rest of my life, but it's a job. I just wish I wasn't so apprehensive about it. I don't know what my schedule will be like, so I'll be posting sporadically and at weird times. I'm still gonna finish off that art test for that other job down in Omaha. I just feel bad that I'm taking this job at the motel and will still be looking for a job that has something to do with what I've got my certificates in!

The other thing that's gonna be changing here is the parentals will be returning from their volunteer work in Maryland in about a week & a half. That's gonna put a big crimp in the time I get to put in on this thing. For some reason, my Mom doesn't understand that computers and the internet are truly what I want to work with and the more time I spend on it, the better I get with things.

And now... for all of you returning to school, don't feel bad. Kohaku feels your pain.

He's even got a nice bright backpack for all his homework and books!

Well, I think I'm gonna call it a night here and go finish off FMA #1. I think I have just a little bit to go.

He just smiled and gave me a Vegemite sandwich....

Monday night is Eighties Night!!

Yeah... been listening to some of my 80s music again. I really need to get some more of some of this stuff....

Anyhoo... I did do a little more today than yesterday. As usual a couple loads of towels were washed. I did two of the five drawings I need to do for that art test. I got to the point where I couldn't see straight while coloring in the pictures, so I gave up for the day. So far I've drawn a cute bat for a Halloween design and a set of gingerbread twins for a Christmas design. I don't know what else I'm going to do... maybe some cute fish and animals. Then I gotta do some computer designs as well. *sigh*

I do have an interview tomorrow at the motel where my brother works. It's not exactly what I'm looking for, but it would be a job. I've worked in a motel before. It's a job that can make you crazy at times. The motel I worked in previously was in Rapid City, South Dakota. It's a trip working there in the summer... especially when Sturgis Week is in full swing!

I really need to get back to studying! I have another test to go and I'll have my Master CIW Designer certification out of the way. Also, I haven't touched Java in over a month!!

I'm so bad on a bunch of stuff. The only thing I've been doing to enrich my mind is working on learning Japanese. It's been almost a year since I touched my Ancient Greek! I really need to get back to that!!! I also need to start writing again. I think subconsciously I've quit writing because I'm almost out of paper in the notebook I've been using. I don't want to mooch a notebook off my brother after he was nice enough to get me a new sketchbook so I can do the pictures for that art test.

By the way, Sturgis Week is the annual gathering of motorcycles in the Black Hills of South Dakota... particularly in the town of Sturgis. I've been up there once during Sturgis Week. The amount of motorcycles is phenomenal! Several years later, while at the Goosenecks of the San Juan River State Park in Utah, I met a lady who was from Sturgis originally. Turns out her father was one of the guys that started the rally. Cool.

I saw this on katocool's site and just had to take it. Too bad many of the bands listed there were either ones that I can't stand or haven't heard of. I don't listen to the radio up here because it sucks. I guess I got spoiled by the stations down in Omaha & Council Bluffs.

Well, I think I may wander off now. My CD is on the last track and I really don't feel like listening to anything else.

*bops away listening to Romeo Void*

The woman is a walking paper cut....

Sundae... er, Sunday!

I'm not feeling particularly angry about anything. I just had that line pop in my head and the evil smiley just seems to fit. I think that line is from some old TV show. I don't even remember what show.... I just like the line!

This is what I did today:

Well, I did do a lot of the stuff I did yesterday. But I didn't get my haircut again.

Now boredom has overtaken me and I may just wander across the hall and read Kenshin until my eyes dry out.

Additional: Somewhere in the past 24 hours I broke 3600 hits. w00t!

All human actions have one or more of these seven causes: chance, nature, compulsions, habit, reason, passion, desire. --- Aristotle

Saturday night philostophy!

I need to go through various email addresses and clear stuff out of folders....

Anyhoo. Nothing particularly exciting happened today. I did get that haircut. Now my hair is just off the shoulder for length. Still layered. Otherwise I did nothing of extreme value today. Played Golden Sun: the Lost Age for a while. Went for a walk. That's the excitement right there. Somewhere along the line, I put a kink in my back that just won't go away! Ow.

Well...I ended up online about an hour & a half later than expected again tonight. And now it's getting late... *yawns* ...maybe it's time to try to get that kink out of my back by going to bed.
