Six years.....
Today is September 11, 2007. The 6th anniversary of what has been called the largest act of terrorism on American soil.
Has it really been that long? What have we done in those six years? Has anything made a difference?
I know that there are many people out there that see the United States as this great evil entity, but that's not what I want to talk about here.
I just think it would be nice if we all could remember the tragedy of that day six years ago. It touched the entire world, not just the United States. The World Trade Center was home to many international businesses as well, so many foreign nationals died there, too. Think of all the lives that have been changed by that day.
I wasn't close to anyone that was killed or injured that day, but I did worry about my best friend's father. I knew he worked in security in Washington DC, but couldn't remember where he worked. Thankfully, it was not the Pentagon, so he was all right. I told my friend and she thanked me for my concern.
Anyhoo... I think I'll just close this for now. I hope everyone is all right today.
Never forget....
