Thursday.
It started out as an ordinary day. I was going to go out to a farm with my sister to take pictures of horses for her friend in the evening. I was going to study more E-commerce. But no... something had to happen to make my life a little more interesting!
Mornings are "me time." I do whatever I feel like doing... which mainly consists of watching the Weather Channel for about a half hour or more at a time. I'll walk to the post office if I feel like it. I'll sit and watch stuff on TV if I can find something more exciting than the Weather Channel.
Well... this morning was really nice out, so I grabbed the sandals to walk down to the post office. I got there and opened the box. It was stuffed. Little mailbox...lots of mail. A couple small catalogs for my brother... a newspaper ad for a grocery store that we don't go to... and
33 envelopes for me!!!!
Here's the stack of them on the kitchen table before I opened them up.
And here they are all opened up.
My sister in Council Bluffs got many of her coworkers to send me birthday cards. One is not signed but included a quarter with instructions to buy myself "something dirty." One is a card for a 100th birthday.
I have three years to plot my retaliation against my sister. In 2008, she will turn 50.
Otherwise, I did get my E-commerce book finished today. I didn't get to go to the farm this evening. Something came up and my sister couldn't make it out there. We'll be going tomorrow afternoon sometime.
I think that's all.... If not, chalk it up to a semi-tired brain cell.
