I like traffic lights!
Friday night and my brain cell just overheated.
Well, I can sum up the weather with the word "disgusting." The temperatures have been in the mid to upper 90s, and the dew points have been in the mid to upper 70s. So, that means the humidity has been pushing the heat index into the 100s! It's almost as if one needs gills to breathe outside. It was fun coming out of stores in Sioux City this evening... my glasses would fog up!
Didn't do a single constructive thing today. I was going to try to draw something, but it wasn't cooperating and I actually tore the page out of my sketchbook and threw it away! Then I was going to do some writing. Didn't do that either. I did end up grabbing the GBA and playing Pokemon Pinball again. Then my brother got up and we went to Sioux City.
In Sioux City we went to see The Island. It's not Best Picture fodder, but it is a bunch of fun. Lots of explosions and stuff like that. "American Flash-Bang" as my brother puts it. But hey... it's got Ewan McGregor in it, and I like him. I still call him "Steve" because of that one Star Wars action figure I have of him as Obi-wan Kenobi... but I digress. In brief, if you want to have a movie that is just action, go for it. Nothing earth-shattering in this movie.
My brother did come up with this, however: The best two comedies we've seen this summer are The Island and War of the Worlds. I think we were the only ones to laugh all the way through both movies.... and for a good while after they were over.
Well... I have a shiny new Kenshin book sitting here practically screaming, "READ ME!!!!!"
Laters!
