Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades..... and atom bombs.
Friday night in the wilds of northwestern Iowa.
Well, my day was pretty uneventful. I got up, ate breakfast, took a bath, got dressed, walked down to the post office to get the mail, came home, watched TV, started working on that picture again, ate lunch, watched a little more TV, was surprised by my brother getting up a lot earlier than expected, waited while he did his shower, wandered around town here with him, went to Sioux City, did a mall crawl, went to a auto repair place to ask about brake job for brother's car, went to Wal-mart, ate at KFC, wandered around Target for a while, came home, yakked with my brother for a while, got online, read email while chatting with three people at the same time, and now I'm posting. Dang! That was one long sentence!
I suppose I could explain last night's snack a little more. I think someone asked about what type of bread I used. It was wheat bread. Just about any type of bread could be used, however, I don't think that any that has onion or other spices would be very good. I prefer either wheat or 12 grain bread for my applesauce/bread snack. The applesauce that I prefer is unsweetened. I've been getting the stuff that is carried by HyVee, our local grocery chain. I get those little individual serving cup thingies and about half of one of them is good for a fairly thick coating of applesauce on the bread. I don't fold over the bread or anything. If I wasn't out of applesauce, I'd do another one up and take a picture for you guys.
Well, this post sure turned out bizarre. I apologize for not hitting sites the past couple of nights. I've been having time constraint issues again... along with massive impatience with the computer...and my life.
Laters!
