Rest Areas got Wireless!!!!
Yes, you read that right. Rest Areas got wireless internet connections. Well, the ones on Interstate 29 between Sioux City and Council Bluffs do. I find that slightly odd.
*^*^*^*^*^*
Well, I had to go to Omaha again today for an interview. It went all right, considering the interviewer & I were completely honest with each other. They're looking for someone with the magical "3 to 5 years experience" and he was concerned that I don't have that. I was honest and said that I'm lacking that magical length of time and asked how I'm supposed to get it. He laughed and agreed with me. He was really nice and sent me over to another part of the company to apply for a different position. I really don't know about the other position: Data Entry. It's not exactly what I want to do with myself, of course, but it would be a forty hour a week job, on Monday through Friday, and pays a little more than what I'm getting now at the motel. I really have to think on this one.
*^*^*^*^*^*
Well, after driving all over the place in Omaha, I'm kinda pooped. By the time I got home, I put over 250 miles on the Onigiri today! Sheesh! He's not gonna want to go anywhere for a while, but I have to work 6 days in a row starting tomorrow!
*^*^*^*^*^*
Let's see... was there anything interesting that I saw in Omaha today? Not really. Lots of construction as usual! There was a guy in a little front-loader thingy abusing traffic cones in a parking lot. I was going to go out and yell at him to be nice to the traffic cones, but didn't because he was actually moving them out of the way so he could work on the area they were blocking off.
So... time to go visit a few sites and maybe go to bed and read or draw or something.
Laters!
