Episode 50 - Death Episode Summary
heres sumtin tat will NEVER!!!I MEAN NEVER HAPEEN!!!!I DONT CARE!!!DIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Episode 51 The episode picks up right after Envy stabs Ed through the heart. Rose snaps back into reality and tries to help Ed, only to be held back by Dante. Al is trying to believe that his brother is not really dead, that he can't be dead. Envy is disappointed by Ed, and saying that everyone but the Homonculi will die. Dante then ponders if Ed didn't pay the price, that what you give isn't enough. An berzerked Gluttony then charges at Al. Outside, a handcuffed Hawkeye is escorted away in a car, leaded by a car containing King Bradley's wife and son. Out of nowhere, another car speeds towards them and collides with them head-on. Col. Archer steps out of the speeding car. He needs to borrow a car to head towards the Fuhrer's residence, where he believes there is an attack on the Fuhrer. A soldier then explains that Lt. Hawkeye was the captured as the culprit. Realizing that he was deceived, Archer and Hawkeye begin exchanging gunshots, and Hawkeye is injured. The Fuhrer's son then runs away, apparently back to his house. Fires are now raging the Fuhrer's house, with Roy as the main proprietor of the blaze. In the basement, Roy is winded and wounded after battling Pride (the Fuhrer). Out of the flames, Pride emerges as a regenerating corpse, stating that this will only briefly shorten his life. With a swift strike, Pride impales Roy in the shoulder with his saber; mention that he knows about Roy's ambition to become Fuhrer, that now that Roy has become an assassin, he will never achieve his goals. Roy explains that he did this as a promise to a friend of his, Brigadier General Hughes. The Fuhrer's son interrupts the conflict, only to be informed that his father has just caught the intruder. Apologizing for not following his father's orders, his son wanted to thank him for taking care of him. Embracing his son, Pride freezes and begins to sense something is wrong, and so does Roy. The son then says that he took it out of the safe, taking a round object wrapped in cloth out of his bag. He was worried that the important belonging might get damaged in the fire. Enraged, Pride begins to choke the boy. Roy pulls the saber from his shoulder as Pride throws the boy into him. Pride shows how much he hates humans for their stupidity. Roy stands up, taking the object from the cloth to reveal a skull, and realizes that it was Pride's weakness. As Pride stands frozen in fear, Roy holds out the skull as he draws his transmutation circle on the back of his hand with his own blood. He proceeds to engulf Pride in flames, saying that he will kill him as many times as needed, until he stays dead. Back inside the hall, Glutton is shown eating Al. Then, we hear a clap. Dante wonders what it is and Envy tells Gluttony to stop. As Gluttony rises, his bottom lip appears to be melted as his front teeth on his lower jaw. Envy recognizes it as an alchemic reaction. Dante then reiterates that Al shouldn't of used alchemy. Al is now glowing with Scar's tattoos, as he approaches Ed's body. He explains that Ed is not dead yet, that he's still warm, and his soul is still inside the Gate. Al only needs to bring it back, like Ed did four years ago. Al activates a transmutation circle with Envy pouncing towards them. Back the Fuhrer's house, Roy stands exhausted over a puddle of blood. He sets the puddle on fire and throws the skull into it, and it dissolves. Roy then carries the boy outside only to be confronted by Archer. Hawkeye runs in and shoots Archer in the back a few times and he falls. She runs towards the house only to find Roy lying on the ground in his blood. She lays over his body and cries. In a white area, Ed is standing there alone as Al appears and disappears. Envy then appears in front of Ed, wondering where he is. Ed informs him that they're at the Gate, and it appears behind Envy. He asked what's it connected to and for Ed, it was a city called London. Envy then is enraged to learn that Hohenhiem is still alive. Envy opens the Gate to find Hohenhiem and kill him. He asks the Gate to take him to where Hohenhiem is and black arms come and take him into the Gate. Inside, the black being start eating away at his flesh, but Envy morphs into Ed, then a young Hohenhiem, then a green dragon, and flies through. In the hall, Ed awakens to see Rose, and he real arm and leg. Rose informs Ed and Al transmuted him while he was dead. After reviving the soul and body with the Philosopher's Stone, Al disappears. Rising in the elevator, Dante is angry that she lost the Philosopher's Stone in her current condition. There is a load noise as the floor of the elevator is melted away and Gluttony arises. He lunges at Dante just as she uses alchemy. As the elevator reaches the top and opens, we see neither Dante nor Gluttony. Back at the hall, Ed stands in the middle of the Philosopher's Stone array, with several circles drawn upon him. Flashing back, Ed is speaking to Rose that he will destroy this place, to ensure that no one will ever seek the Philosopher's Stone again. Back on the circle, Ed wonders if Ed can sacrifice enough to bring Al back, then transmutes himself. (Winry's internal monologue) What seems to be a few weeks later, Central Headquarters is back to normal. With the passing of the Fuhrer, a new government quickly arose. The military has given all political decisions to a national assembly. In Ishbal, the policy has changed and all exiles can return. In a hospital, the recovery of now Brigadier General Roy Mustang will take a long time. In the room, Hawkeye is carving an apple for him, doubting herself for not getting there in time to save Roy. Roy says nothing is perfect, and the world is incomplete, and that is why it's beautiful. We then see Al in human form. He had the appearance of a ten-year-old boy with no memories since his mother's transmutation. Ed is no longer around. Even if you use a human life, human transmutation is impossible, but the reason Al is here is because the four years Ed and Al spent together was paid as the price. We also learn that Wrath now has automail limbs, one that Winry made for Ed. Back at the house, Al wants to train again. He wants to study more about alchemy and the Principle of Equivalent Trade, but also to meet his brother again. Al leaves to train again with his sensei, and he promises Winry that he will come back healthy, and with Ed. We cut to what appears to be inside of a church, where several robed men are chanting over a transmutation circle. Outside, the men leave and we see one of them is Hohenhiem. We are on the other side of the Gate. Professor Haushofer. talks about a place called the Island of Thule. The Thule society believes that it is the island of God, and that they are trying to reach that place. We learn that it is 1921, in Munich. At home, Hohenhiem sees Edward packing. Ed is going to Transylvania to meet with a student attempting space flight. He believes is will get him closer to his world, using mechanical technology instead of alchemic technology.\. Ed bound Al flesh and soul together and before he realized it, he was on the other side. Hohenhiem says that in order to not loose your flesh and soul, there is no choice but to pass over. Ed wonders if Al is even alive, because Ed is still alive; was there no price paid? Hohenhiem explains that their four years together was the price. In the final scene both brother board different trains, one leading to Transylvania another to Dublith; although their destinations are different both brothers, ultimately go in search of a way to be together once again. ---End of Fullmetal Alchemist--- (Copyright fullmetalalchemist.info) |
