The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon
Dragon (Kuronue6), Eien No Naku and I have decided that we will eventually open a resaurant together. It will be called The Dish Ran Away WIth The Spoon, and will specialize in dishes that will make customers want to run away at first glance. The idea for this restaurant came about when I borrowed a dollar from Eien and we both went to buy slushies from the school snack bar. Once we returned to our lunch area, Eien took a piece of the pork chop he had brought for lunch and dipped it into the overly syrupy-sweet blue slushie. He ate it without blinking, and so I was tempted to try the same thing. I filched a pork chop morsel and ate it with the odd condiment. It was actually pretty tasty. The almost bland meat taste of the pork helped balance out the slushie. It was then that I proclaimed to my friends Dragon and Eien, "Wouldn't it be funny if we opened a restaurant and served only the weird and slightly gross-sounding combinations of food that we come up with?" And there it began. The menu will consist of slushied pork shops (appetizer), sweet white rice with chocolate-peanut butter-carmel-toffe syrup (dessert), a grilled cheese sandwich covered in soup with a dipping sauce of chocolate milk (entree that will be called the Fred Special), cucumber-salt-mayonnaise potato bread sandwich (entree), cucumbers and carrots dipped in mustard (appetizer), mango-honey basted celery (appetizer), and chocolate waffles covered with whipped cream, jelly beans, fruit of your choice, and and syrup you choose (dessert/entree). Also, the only utensils available will be spoons or chopsticks. Though I have not discussed this yet with Dragon and Eien, I think wheels with small brakes attached to the plates would be a welcome addition. Tell me if you think this is a promising investment, if you think it will attract customers, and send in any recipes you think would fit well with our theme. Thanks!
