Back from Dallas...

Overall, the weekend had high points and low points... More personal low stuff than high stuff...

I won't mention any of the bad stuff because it would probably piss people off...



I have something eating me inside... There's something I want to do, but can't do. It would be taken the wrong way, that for damn sure. And it would piss 1 person off, probably more....


I hate not knowing what to do, and not being able to keep feelings under control... Feelings I shouldn't be having to begin with, been told I shouldn't have, yet I have anyhow, despite knowing what could happen.....


God I want OniCon to get here, and now...

Just finished packing, for the most part. Got the PS2 loaded, laptop, games, KANKURO SHIRT!, and enough clothes. I don't "think" I'm forgetting anything, but I know I will cause I always do. XD

I leave for the airport in 3 hours, and yeah. I think I'm gonna be the only one there today, what with everyone I know showing up tomorrow. So I get the room to myself tonight. =D

People know to call me tomorrow. ^_^

So what's left... I need a shave and a shower, gotta run to Target to pay my bill and get my sister's birthday present, and go to the bank and get some cash. I'm more or less set here. ^_^


If you're going, then I'll cya this weekend. If you're not going, then maybe I'll call you to bring a little bit of the con to you.. ^^

Lots to do today, so I'll make this brief.

First off, I'm in 3 tournies. Bwa ha ha!!

Gotta do laundry, gotta pack. PS2, games, KANKURO SHIRT!!!, clothes, normal junk. Laptop? Dunno yet. But probably yes.

Oh, and maybe Strongbad will make an appearance at the Pose Off... ^^;;

Tala's staying with Iruka/mom now, so the room is cleared up a bit. Now it's me, Suger, Socknin, Newbeh, and Danzig's friend. (Geoff, hit me up on AIM and I'll give you my cell to pass on to your friend)

Tol, do you wanna get together sometime before Saturday night and plan anything out for the Pose Off?

Wow, did I need yesterday.....

Basically... I got off work at 12:30. Left a little early, mainly because I was feeling worse and worse as the day went on. Did a little shopping on the way out......picked up some Benedryl. Got home, took one.

2pm, I was out.
7pm, I wake up. Nice little 5 hour nap there.. XD

Eat some dinner, take another one.

9pm, I'm out.
4am, when my alarm starts going off for work, I'm good to go.


Ok, maybe not entirely good to go... I'm still groggy as usual at 5 in the morning... But still. I feel pretty rested. If I didn't have to do laundry today and pack tomorrow, I'd probably do the same thing the next two days so that I'm totally good for AFest. ^^;


Which brings me to plans the next couple days... Today, I have to do my laundry. Or maybe I can do it tomorrow... Either way, I gotta pack tomorrow cause I won't have time on Thursday before my flight. Tho I'm probably gonna leave work early on Thursday just cause I can and won't want to be there to begin with.. LOL. (then again, i NEVER want to be there to begin with, but yeah....)


If anyone needs/wants my cell number for this weekend, hit me up on AIM and I'll let you have it.

Or just watch the Chibibon video, cause that IS my cell number... XD

Oh.. For those that don't know, (people on LJ do, people on MyOtaku might not) There IS a Pose Off at AFest. Saturday night at 6pm. Only thing is I think it's in direct competition with the cosplay.... x.x;;; A lot of the regulars might not go, but yeah... And Danzig isn't going to the con, so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

And what else....

Keiichi.net radio is doing the dances on Friday and Sunday nights, and Greg Ayers is doing Saturday night. My understanding is Sunday is the usual J-Pop type dance that Keiichi usually does, and Greg does more of the actual dance music type stuff on Saturday... But Friday, Keiichi is trying something out... I don't know what exactly, as the AFest site wasn't clear. But it should be interesting, that's fo shure.

OK, so yeah. I'm a little confused by what's going on with the room situation right now..

Originally, it was just me and Tala. Then suger_snake was added, and that was cool. Then Iruka, and that wasn't entirely cool, but not a big deal. Then Iruka's out, then she's back in, then she's out, then she's in...

Now, Newbeh and Socknin need storage/shower.

It's cool and all... But yeah... Sometimes, I'm too nice for my own good.... ^^;;; (especially since I was originally letting Tala and Suger stay for free.)

I'm not saying I'm gonna be a dick and start charging people here... But if people wanted to contribute, then I wouldn't turn it away.


I kinda wish I got my bonus check this week instead of next week... Would make paying my bills a hell of a lot easier. ^^;;;; (especially since my 3 big ones are due this weekend... -_-;;)


Aside from that tho, I've been playing more and more poker. XD

Been doing pretty good in cash tournies. Won 50 bucks Saturday. =D

Yesterday, entered a 2 dollar tourney. (that's all I do... 1 or 2 dollar tournies) I wasn't doing so hot... I just wasn't getting any cards. 3300 people entered tho... x.x

So I play for an hour and a half.....most of which, I'm on the phone with Kayoubi. XD We talked on the phone for like 3 hours yesterday, just watching flash movies and junk. Twas fun indeed. ^_^

But anyhow, we hang up, and I start focusing on the poker.....I was only kinda like half assing it for the most part there.. ^^;;; Had AQs in the pocket, flop was Q55. It was only down to me and another guy after the flop. Someone was stupid and said they folded a Q, so I knew there was only 1 other queen out there. Unless he had one of the 5's, I was set. So I check over, he bets, I reraise all in. He thinks about it for a minute, then calls. Shows a 5. I bust out Trip 5's to Q's/5's. 1011th out of 3300. No money, but oh well... It's another stepping stone in progress. I was beaten by a better hand....all there is to it.

I just think it's funny tho that I talked with Kayoubi for 3 hours, and on the first hand after hanging up, that's when I bust out... XD She's officially my good luck charm now.. b^_^

Freeroll tourney, that'll have like 6000 people in it.. x.x;;
Watch Raw til I pass out. (which the way i feel right now, i might pass out before raw even starts... x.x)
Try to get rid of this damn sinus infection... x.x;;;;

No seriously... I'm fuckin sicker than all hell right now... -_-;;; Runny nose, cough, migraines, feel like shit. The usual.

I'm gonna be fun to sit next to on an airplane in 3 days.. >)

But I don't wanna get anyone I'm staying with at the con sick... Or at least not Suger and Tala. LOL.

The AFest Prep Post!!! =D


So yeah. AFest is coming up this weekend. I'm flying down again.....probably the last time I'm gonna do that.. x.x;;; Granted, with gas as much as it is right now, flying is about the same cost wise as driving, but yeah.. XD

Anywho, I'm flying into DFW Thursday night. I leave here at "4pm" and get there at "6:30". But we all know how much American sucks with being on time, especially with flights out of Chicago.... -_-;;; (remember Ushicon where I was sitting at the airport for 3 hours?)

What sucks tho is for my 4pm flight, my mom wants to leave at 1:30 to take me to the airport....... Now, it only takes me like 45 minutes to get to the airport... I was thinking leave at 2, get there 3, it doesn't take THAT long to check in and get screened and what not..... (especially since I go off to the side screener where there typically isn't a line... XD) But whatever...

Then again, on 2nd thought... Since I'm bringing my PS2 with... I'm not bringing it on a checked bag, it'll be on my carryon.... And they're gonna want to search my bag because of all the electronic crap... Ok, so 1:30 is fine. x.x;;

But anyhow, I should be at in Dallas by like 7, then I'm gonna ride the Super Shuttle over to the hotel. Should be there around 7:30-8. Honestly, I don't remember if I got a king bed or 2 queens.... If I got the king, then I'll try to get a cot or something. The queens, then we should be good to go.


Stuff bringing wise, like I said, I'm bringing my PS2. As far as games go, Naruto UH2, Naruto Nimden (just so people can see how bad it sucks....), Katamari 2, and maybe some other stuff, but no FFXI... I might also bring my laptop....dunno yet.

Costumes; Only Kankoru. No Plan B here like at Chibi. x.x;; So if I forget the shirt again, or any part of it, then I'm screwed... No costume for Kris... ;_; Strongbad at Chibi was a backup. I wasn't planning on wearing it that much, but I did cause I forgot the Kanky shirt at home. (this is also why I would bring the laptop, so I have reference pictures for the makeup so I don't have to do it freehand. XD)

Stuff at the con wise, I have no clue yet.. XD I know there's dances/raves, Gilliam's there with the games, and yeah... But I don't know what else there is to do there... ^^;; Proz said something about a 21+ party one night, but that's really it.


Favor time!!

Proz - Dude, could you please please PLEASE stop at the Czech stop in West and get me 3 sausage and cheese kolaches? ^^;;;;;;; I'll pay you back for em. Those things are better than sex!! Also, I might need to make a "liquid refreshment" run at some point. I won't have a car, so yeah.. ^^;;

Tala - You already know what your favor is. ^^;;

Anyone else that's going - If you see me down or bummed out or something, say hi. I have the feeling I'll be rather alone at this con, so just someone saying hi and stuff will cheer me up. ^^


And that's about it. Like I've been saying, I have more stuff lined up at OniCon then I do here. I'm just coming here to hang out with people I haven't hung out with in a while. ^_^

Ok, I'm kinda scared... >>;;;

So yesterday when I posted from work, I was getting around the firewall and all, and yeah. I did my usual stuff to cover my tracks... Delete cookies, delete temp int files, etc.

Today, I come back here.... And for some reason, I'm still logged in... >>;;;;;;;;;;;

Maybe this is part of the changes they did the other day... -_-;;; Damn Meijer....



But yeah. AFest coming, and it's gonna pwn. =D

I need some help tho...

Everyone that has my phone number (which is all of you if you watched the Chibicon vid...) needs to call me on Wednesday Night and Thursday to force me to remember my shirt for my Kankoru costume.. XD I don't wanna get to the hotel after being on a plane for 3 hours and then realize I forgot it again... Especially since I don't have a backup costume this time... ^^;;;

It seems like every trip I take, I forget something at home... Despite making lists days in advance, I still forget something...

I wonder what I'm gonna forget this time... x.x;;;

So yeah. For those that have seen Marzgurl's O-Chibicon vid.... Yes, that really is my phone number... XD

Surprisingly, I haven't received any phone calls tho... ;_; But then again, looking at that video, I think I look like I weigh like 400 pounds or something.... >>;;; I look freakin HUGE there.... =/

Then again, I'm not surprised I haven't received any phone calls, as the whole idea was a joke to begin with. LOL.


Of course, in the same respect... T-Mobile sucks... -_-;;;

The wireless network has been very good the last couple weeks. In fact, the best it's been in months. I guess they finally fixed whatever was wrong with it. But yesterday, while I was using AIM, it just goes down.... No warning, no notice, no nothing. A message comes on my screen saying the GRPS is down and junk. I call up my buddy Rico who also has a Sidekick, and he says he's having the same problem with his phone. This leads me to believe T-Mo is screwing with the network yet again... =/

Thankfully tho, it came back up this morning... But it still sucked.... =/



I'm glad I still have Tala as a friend. ^_^


So what's going on with me... Sadly, just a lot of gaming. I've been switching around from title to title the last couple days.

Haven't really logged on to GW in the last couple weeks, but I might this weekend. I guess there's a big PvP thing going on this weekend, and I might check it out or something.... Granted, I'm only in the Shiverpeaks so far, but yeah.. Heh..

I made a new char on FFXI. A mithra on Ifrit named Cuteythief. And naturally, some horny Jap gave me gil. XD Same thing happened when I was a noob on Shiva with my mithra. You just pretend to be a chick, and these guys will give you anything. Easiest 50k I've gotten.. ^^;;; But yeah... I made this char so I can level and junk with the guys from the Ushicon forums. I've yet to see them in-game tho is the only thing... Heh. And Jessica will probably join me on Ifrit, as she usually does. Which is cool of her. ^^

So PC stuff aside... I've been finding good games left and right, and playing some old favorites. First oldie is Frequency. It mainly started when I was on Skype with Marzgurl, and she wanted to play online. So I figured what the hell, I'll play too. So I found my online version of Freq, and loaded it up. And go figure.....they shut down the online thing... -_-;;; But I still play a couple games just for the hell of it. Then later, I grab Amplitude, and try the online thing there.......same thing, shut down.... -_-;;; Bastards.... Oh well.

I've also been playing Naruto UH 2, getting practice for future cons. Now I know everyone's all ZOMG with the GC version, and they don't really play the PS2 version, but I prefer the PS2 version over the GC version. GC, sure, you get 4 players.... But if you suck, there's no way to get better because you're dead in 5 seconds by someone using a cheap Itachi. With the PS2 version, the matches are longer, and there's more time to improve your skill if you're getting owned. That's how I learned......figuring out how to get out of sticky situations. I'm at the point where I can counter a cheap Itachi. (granted, I use Gaara mostly, but still)

Then, I've also been playing NCAA 06. I'm kinda bummed out.... My created player made it to the finals of the Heisman, but lost out... I'm a QB, but my WR won it. The jerk... Oh well.....at least Texas is in the national title game... XD

Finally, I've been playing We Love Katamari, jap version. I couldn't wait til it came out over here, so I found a torrent for the jap version. ^^;;; Man that game kicks ass. =D

I still need Madden, but I won't worry about that til my created player in NCAA finishes his senior year of college, and turns pro... XD


Ok, this entry has been long enough. I'll shut up before people start requesting for the Cliff Notes version of this.. XD
