Last day off, then 7 days straight... ;_;

I leave for Dallas next Thursday. My flight is at 4, and I'll be landing at "6:30". (american has been hella off with flights around here, that's why I say "6:30")

I was thinking about maybe heading over to the Cowboys game at 7, but honestly... If we land at 6:30, after getting my bags and whatnot, it'll be 7, probably 7:30 by the time I get to the airport, then 8 by the time I get to the stadium. So as awesome as it would be.....I don't think it would work... ;_;

But that's ok!!

I was talking with LimoMan yesterday about fooball, (like I've been doing a lot as of late), and he said he was a season ticket holder to the Houston Texans. This is kool because the weekend of OniFest, the Texans are at home against the Indy Colts! W00T!!

Non-football fans probably can't appreciate this, but I does. =D

If you don't see me on Sunday of the con, that's why.. ^^;;;

But that's Oni. And as much fun stuff as I have lined up there (karaoke with CP, raving with Tala, receiving massive amounts of glomps from Lily, video with Marzgurl), I have AFest first up. And I don't really have as much stuff lined up for AFest as I do for Oni...

From what Proz said, AFest has a 21+ party one night... That should be interesting... XD Plus he might get me in on some Holdem action. And Tala STILL needs to learn me to rave... >/

My poker is getting better, but it's not quite there yet... As yesterday showed me.

I'll be honest... I know I'm never gonna be a professional poker player or anything. That's not my intent. It'd be nice to win some money off of it, but I know that'll probably never happen either. Ultimately, I do it for fun.

I had a lot of beginner's luck when I started last May. I was trying to get a seat to the WSOP, and went in a 5 dollar satalitte. They took the last 2 or 3, and they got entry to the 600 dollar satalitte, and the top seeds there got the trip to Vegas for the Series. And I actually held my own there, and they took the top 25 or so, and I got 26th. (was knocked out by this guy named Fossilman.....maybe you've heard of him?)

Sadly, for a while, that was my peak. After that, I just sucked hardcore. I got lucky once, but then bombed everything else. (sound like Moneymaker? seriously....he won in 03, but hasn't won a damn thing since)

I tried again to enter the satalittes for this year's WSOP, but hardcore bombage occured. So instead of trying to waste my money on continued failing, I decided I would spend the summer refining my style. I was being your typical internet poker n00b, bluffing at everything. Always see the flop, never getting shit. Then when I played tight, I would fold to any bet even with a winning hand. I couldn't get my mentality straight.


As of late, I've been entering a lot of play money tournaments on PokerStars. I've won a couple 9-man tournies, got 2nd in a 27-man tourney, and 7th in a 45-man tourney. Obviously, my skill is improving.

Those of you that watch poker on the TV I'm sure have seen the commericials for the free million dollar tourny at paradisepoker.net. I entered one of their tourny's, and bombed out kinda early on a bad beat. Even the guys at the table thought it sucked, but oh well. (flopped a straight, went all in, lost to runner-runner flush draw)

After that, went back to PokerStars and played another 27-man tourney and got 2nd.


Then I decided to take the next step in poker..........

I put 25 bucks in my online account, and joined a 5 dollar tourney. The winner took 1500 dollars, 2nd 700, and yeah. First cash out place was like 105th or something. Total, there were 1500 people in the touney. I lasted nearly 2 hours, and left in like 300th place.

Ok, so I wasn't in the money.... I'll take 300th out of 1500. It was a very good learning experience, and I've had some of the best cards dealt to me then I've had in a very long time....

First cards dealt, AA. All in, triple-up. 2nd hand dealt, AK. Ended up with a straight. 3rd hand dealt, J10 suited, flop the flush. Then another AA. Then I flopped quad 6's.

Seriously.....I was on a roll. Ask Proz cause I was talking to him a lot during it.

It ended on a low note.... I had my cards, but my opponent had their's. AQ pocket, flop was AQ6. Went all in, was called, opponent had QQ. That's the worst way to get busted...... 2 pair losing to 3 of a kind.

But yeah.


Now you may ask... Why am I using ACTUAL money to play poker online? Am I nuts??

Well we all know I'm nuts.. But still. Heh.

It's a completely different game when real money is on the line. All these n00bs that just play fake money games are suicidal. They go all in every hand without even thinking about it. Totally drag the game down. In a cash tourney, people are tighter, play for real, and it's good experience for an actual tourney setting.

Plus, think about it... Say I spend a dollar or two for a tourney online. No big deal. It's just the same as going to some arcade and playing DDR or something, is it not? The only difference is a game of DDR is over in 10-15 minutes tops. The poker could go on for hours. (like last night) Plus in the end, I could make money.


So yeah. That's about it for now. Just trying to get back in the poker game.. ^^;;

Ok, this is gonna sound weird.... But I hate being old... >>;;;

Most of my friends are in the 15-18 age range, so the majority of them are off to school and whatnot now. So like today, when I'm off and sitting around doing nothing all day... And there's noone to talk to. And they're up all night, when I'm sleeping cause I work at 5 and all... ^^;;;

I'm not saying I need older friends (tho I do), I'm saying my younger friends need to get older already. =P

No seriously.... It'd be nice to have someone, but as I don't see it happening because I keep falling for girls that don't like me, or have a b/f already, or have some guy they like already... It's just not gonna happen.

So the least I can do is try to be there for everyone else. ^_^


So if anyone needs someone to talk to and maybe get some advice, talk to me on AIM or something. It's always on, except when I sleep. Then you can have fun with my away message! =D


I mean yeah, there are a couple girls I like, but I don't think any of them would work out. And that's ok. I'll just work at it at AFest or something.

Alright, so here's the damage report from the storm Friday night.....

- TV in my dad's office somehow got demagnitized... It has those nasty green/purple/whatever colors in the top left corner of the screen, and all thru the top of the screen.

- Fan in my sister's room. At first, it would work, but it seemed like the motor was burned out. But i guess it was just over worked or something, cause it was working later in the day.

- Cable box in my sister's room. Dunno yet... Haven't really looked at it.

- Parent's TV thingie... It's weird what happened here... The way they have it set up, the TV plugs into the back of the cable box, then the cable box controls the power for the TV. Then the cable box is plugged into a surge protector. What I did was unplug all components, then plug them into the protector and tried it out.....worked just fine. Then I put it back the way it was, and the box wouldn't work at all. So I'm guessing that outlet that the TV was plugged into on the back of the box was fried. Gotta love it...

From the looks of it, that was about it.


I had good fun yesterday. I had to deal with all of that, then I started work on getting things set up for picking my parents and sis up at the airport. Her boyfriend comes over, and we head out. I had it timed almost perfectly. I told her to call when she landed, and I was at the Oasis on 90 when she called. That was PERFECT.... Then we get on the 190 and start making our way to Arrivals, and I see a couple American planes just sitting on the tarmac doing nothing.... I roll up to the American terminal, and it's shit nuts jammed pack.... x.x;;;;; So I call my sis again, and she says "we're still on the plane. we're just sitting here doing nothing, not moving." Fuck it, I'm parking in the garage.

Glad I did too.... The actual "arrival" kept getting pushed back and pushed back... They landed at about 6, and I don't think they let them off the plane til 7:10. How fucked up is that.... (if that happens to me when I get back from Dallas, boy am I gonna be pissed.....)

So yeah... We wait another 15-20 minutes for the luggage to finally arrive, and head out.

Go to Fridays where my dad gets nice and drunk, my mom has a couple, and what the fuck... So do I. =D

I was the 7th Wheel, as usual.... But whatever.


So that was my night... Wheee.......


I really need to find someone to kill my loneliness...... =(

Wow... What a fun night....


Well first off, let me say this...

The new PS2 Naruto game SUCKS ASS!!!!!!!

I dunno, maybe it's just cause I can't understand a single bit of it, and it's an RPG style game.... Aside from that, there's just too much wrong with it... The camera system blows... (reminds me of the camera in .hack) The fighting system is generic. The fights themself are borderline retarded, in that you have a group of guys come at you, and you beat them up. (again, .hack) Plus, when you kill someone, magical gems shoot forth from their corpse, and you have to collect them for one reason or another. I've yet to figure out why.

But also... There's no music from the show, it doesn't follow ANY storyline whatsoever from show or manga, and yeah....

Now supposedly, the dialouge is funny, but it's in Japanese so how would I know?


Sadly.... And you know me, I love Naruto.... But this game isn't worth the disc it's burned on... =/

They should of kept with fighting games.



Anyhow, went to sleep kinda early last night. Or at least it started off like that, then I kinda got wrapped up in a Real World Austin mini-marathon.... ^^;;; I don't know why I watch that show really... It's basically "let's see who can get the drunkest and score with the most people in the house." Tho the pale goth-esch chick is hot.. XD

But yeah... Got woken up around 2am by the biggest boom you'll ever hear... >>;;;;

Fuckin storm passing over. I do what I normally do when I get woken up by a storm......turn on the TV and go to the Weather Channel to see how much longer this shit's gonna be.. XD

Talk to Kayoubi a bit on AIM since she's up and all, and yeah. (man she's awesome... so cool to talk to and whatnot)

But I'm sitting in my bed watching Weather Channel and talking on AIM, and I hear this strange electronic humming sound..... I have no clue what it is... So I get up to look, and my kitties are right outside the door being all cute and junk.. ^_^ But the humming is coming from my mom's room... As I walk over there, my sister comes out of her room, and I scare the shit out of her, which is always a nice feeling.. XD But she says the big boom was lightning (thank you captain obvious) hitting either our house or the neighbor's house. She was sitting on the computer (why she was up at 2am on the computer, I'll never know...), and said she saw the bolt hit out of the window... Lovely...

So I keep going into my parents room, and the humming is their digital cable box.... Uh-oh.......

I try turning it on, and it's fried..... x.x;;;;;;;

Plus my sister's fan in her room fried.... Lovely.... x.x;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;


And my parents get back from Flordia today.... x.x;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Last couple days have been pretty boring.

But yesterday was action packed.....if you can call it that.. LOL.

In a nutshell.... I decided I was gonna do a couple things. One, I was gonna catch up with Naruto, seeing how I haven't seen anything for the last 2-3 months. And, I needed to transfer everything from the computer downstairs to the computer upstairs. Now this would be easy and fun, but my computer isn't able to access files from that computer, as I set mine up so the vice versa couldn't happen... I don't want my dad, or my sister on her computer for that matter, being able to get in my files and see all the porn and crap I have on my comp. XD

So what I was doing with all my Naruto to begin with was putting it on disc. I'm talking like months ago here, before I even got my computer. I would download the episodes, and then since my dad didn't want that shit taking up space on his hard drive, I would burn 3-4 episodes on a disc and delete them. And yes, I was doing this on CD-R's, as that computer didn't have a DVD burner... ^^;;; So I had up to 117 or something on disc. The rest... I spent all day downloading 118-148 from NF. Gotta love it. The last episode I had seen was like 136 or something... When Naruto/Sakura/Jairiya leave town for their little adventure. So once I got to that point, (and a stopping point at the other thing I was doing), I started watching some.

HOORAY FOR NAKED HINATA!!!! =D


I mean... Uhhhh....

So yeah.

The other thing I was doing was downloading the new Naruto PS2 game. I actually started that a couple days ago, but yeah.... We know how my PC gets with downloading BT files overnight... =/ Actually, it just finished this morning... XD I woke up this morning for work, and it was at 98.6%. Then I took a shower, and got out, and had that lovely blue screen of death I've grown accostumed to while downloading BT files... -_-;;;; Rebooted, restarted at 98.6%, and went to work... Got home, and yay. So now I have the new Naruto PS2 game.

Could of had it yesterday, but I had to download the episodes instead.. XD

Now from what I gather, this game is totally different from the other two PS2 Naruto games, especially in that it's not a straight up fighter. It's more of an action/adventure/rpg type game. Sorta like DBZ Sagas or something.

And I can't read a single bit of Japanese....

This is gonna be fun.... x.x;;;;

Maybe I'll hold off playing it til a translation guide or walkthru or something is up on GameFaqs. Sorta like what I did for story mode on Naruto 2.

(on a side note, I'm still undecided on if I wanna get Naruto 4 for GC)


So aside from that, while the compy was doing all this downloading, I was on my PS2 having fun.

I bought NCAA 2006 like a day or two after it came out. And I tried playing it, but just couldn't figure the damn game out. I have 2003, and I just pwn'd that like there was no tomorrow. But I sucked ass at 2006... >>;;;

So I figured I was bored... Might as well get back on the horse and try again. Haven't played it since that first time....maybe it was just a fluke or something.

Do the whole "Chase for the Heisman" thing, make myself a QB on Texas...

First play for the opposition, they get a 80 yard touchdown pass... >>;;;;;



Then I went on to kick their ass 84-7... XD

So going in to the game with Oklahoma, Texas is undefeated, and surprisingly #3 in the nation... Behind USC and Iowa for some reason.... But Oklahoma is 4th, so I think a win over them should get me to #1.

And Kris Priegnitz is currently #1 in the Heisman standings, and he's just a Freshman. Gotta love it. XD


Maybe I'll download Madden or something, then transfer my college self to the pros.. LMAO! Replace Peyton Manning or something. I mean, I'm getting 500+ yards and 7+ TD's a game...

Why you ask?


I suck at the running game, so I always pass the ball... XDXDXD


Seriously... I suck at Madden/NCAA/etc. Gimme Tecmo Super Bowl any day of the week.. b^_^


So yeah.. I think I'm gonna find the ISO for Madden, then download that.



But only after all this porn I have lined up.. =D
