Ok, my trip, in all of it's loveliness.

Last Tuesday: Decide I'm gonna leave on Tuesday night instead of Wednesday afternoon. But it's my sister's birthday. So stay til dinner, then leave Chicago like 8 or 9 pm. Start heading to Tyler.

Last Wednesday: Get to Tyler. Check into the Best Western there. Head over to this BBQ place where Kayoubi works, and meet her for the first time. First thoughts....man is she cute. Head over to the local mall/arcade, get some PPP and other stuff in. She calls saying she's done with work, but then angry mom call, so home she must go.

Last Thursday: Wake up, meet Kayoubi and her friend Amanda for Starbucks. They go to school, I go back to the hotel room. Around 3pm, I head over to the mall, but I'm lacking cell phone service. Tyler was a weird town as far as cell signal went... Seeing how I'm waiting for Kayoubi to call, I head back to the hotel. Which is exactly when she gets to the mall. Go figure. I go back, we go shopping, good stuff. Do some random driving around, then go back to the mall. Meet her mom and the local arcade people. A group decides to go to this park thing, and I follow. It's 5 people... Amanda and her bf, Kayoubi, Joseph, me. Kayoubi's seemingly hitting on Joseph while Amanda and her bf do their thing. Thus making me feel like the meaningless 5th wheel. As often as I was the 5th wheel when hanging out with other people, I started feeling down and depressed, and they all could tell. Well, that, and I was hoping she'd flirt with me, but oh well... Go back to her place as a group, then her and Amanda retire for the night.

Friday: Wake up hella early, cause I'm driving Kayoubi and Amanda to the con. Get to their place, they're not even up yet. XD Wake em up, get packed, get driving. Get to Houston, and switch into Kankuro in the car. Run in to Geoff and Kim right when I walk in. Get the badge, then start meeting up with random people of awesomeness. Minty, Phlinx, Levi, Newbeh, Suger, others. Call Marzgurl to see where they are, still a ways off. No biggie. Head out to my car to get some awesome cd's, then blare some Euro on my little boombox. A Naruto Para Para group forms! Not much going on with the con, so I go get some other CD's. Notice a sign saying parking is 20 bucks a day.....call Marzgurl to inform. Says they're almost there, so wait for them in the lobby. They all get there, we check in to the room. Very nice room. We didn't have the mold infested, curtains slashed, fire alarm missing, roach motel; problems that lot of other people had. All we had was a missing light fixture that wasn't really missed. My only real complaint was the low-flo toilets. How you had to flush like 3 or 4 times to get everything down... But I digress. Take a shower, get out of Kankuro, and relax for a while. Not much con wise that I'm interested in, so I just do random stuff. Kayoubi wants to hot tub, so I switch to my suit. Kevin from Marz's group joins, as does Amanda. Kayoubi's flirting with Kevin now. =( Half an hour later, I get out (much to everyone's disappointment), and try to go on a booze run. But NOOOOOOOOO......damn liquor stores close at 9pm. WTF?!? So I just buy a 6-pk of Smirnoff for the girls and call it a bust. Get back, drink, Kayoubi leaves for the night. Leaving me to talk to Amanda. We talked for a good hour or so. She is so totally cool. I then decide to get my sticks and head to the dance. First the Masq Ball, where I run in to Danzig and Kim, and they say it sucks. Yeah, it did. Then to Greg Ayer's, and raved for a bit with Phlinx, but I just couldn't get in to the music. Went to sleep.

Saturday: Woke up, went exploring. Lots of people in Naruto stuff, so I head back to the room and throw Kanky on. And just in time too cause there was a pretty decent sized photoshoot going on when I got downstairs. I missed most of it, but oh well. Plus, at this point, I had my cd with We Like To Party, so that was cool. Karasu's really starting to fall apart at this point. Go to the Para Para panel with Levi, and we pwn everyone. XD Then more photoshoot stuff, including the giant Naruto mob against the giant Bleach mob. Then I head up to the room and throw my Texas stuff on. Take over a TV, and watch the Texas/Texas Tech game. XD Now at this point, I was originally supposed to go out on a "date" with Kayoubi. I was gonna take her to Olive Garden, then go from there. These plans were made long before she started going out with her boyfriend, but I knew they probably wouldn't happen, for one reason or another. And to be honest.....with the amount of being ignored that I was getting from her..... I didn't really want to go out. Plus, she was saying she didn't want to leave for an hour and get nailed by her parents and junk. So whatever. Didn't happen. So instead, I order some pizzas for me and the roomies, and watch the Sox/Astros game. Amanda calls, I invite her over for some pizza too. Good times. After the game, change into Raver Kankuro, and head out. But the band is still playing in the room we're supposed to have the rave in.... I run into Kei, and he says they're moving the rave to PR1. So we head out. Run in to Phlinx and a couple of the other Raver Ninjas. And we rave.......til the hotel turns the lights on, and basically tells us to get the fuck out cause they're shutting us down. This had been a longstanding issue with the hotel all weekend....the way they were treating con-attendees, saying we all had to be in our rooms by 2am, and all this other bullshit.. A mini-riot breaks out, and a dozen-man march to the front desk begins. Phlinx and I stay behind, kinda bummed, but whatever. The small group of us that are left head out to the gazeebo area, and I start beat-boxing a bit. We have a small makeshift thing going for a couple minutes. That was pretty amusing. Then I head up to the room to see if I can find Kaylyn to film me complaining about the hotel. (much like the Ushi video) She's not there, so I head back down. Run in to her, and while filming the rant, find out they moved the dance to Main Programming, so we all just go there, and the raving continues. And that was pretty much it. See an extremely cute girl, but this is me... I don't say anything, and only afterwards think of it. XD After the dance, got to sleep.

Sunday: Woke up in an EXTREME amount of pain. My arms and legs were killing me. (they still are actually) But yeah. Showered, packed, loaded up, then went to Shoneys for breakfast. Kayoubi calls saying she's being forced to leave, and Andrew calls saying they need me at the Pose Off. So much for a quick bite to eat. XD Head to my car, get the stuff that Kayoubi/Amanda left in it, call Kayoubi back, no answer. =/ Call Amanda, answers. Give her the stuff, then head to the Pose Off. Never did get to say bye to Kayoubi... And actually......we haven't spoken since. Maybe if she didn't ignore me as much over the course of the weekend..... Sigh... So she probably hates me now. But oh well. Catch the last half of the Pose Off. (Danzig, I still have my killer idea for a 2-person pose if you ever want to use it) Then sit around with Newbeh and Suger while Kaylyn films people for her movie. Then we go to Make the Grade, then hang out for FullMetal Fantasy. Then we head out. Stop a couple times on the way back. (Bucky's! It's a beaver!!) We have to go to Kaylyn's house first. Over the weekend, her insurance company called saying her car that was in the shop being rear-ended back in like June or July was a total loss, and yeah... So her parents got a new car, and we had to pick it up. So we head out to Canyon, do that, then head back to San Antonio. At this point, I'm pretty tired, so it's sleep time.

Monday: Woke up, played Naruto UH2 with Andrew, Josh came over, and we started heading up to Austin. I won't go in to the events that happened next because....well........I STILL have no clue what the fuck happened.... And I was there for it.... All I know it was a lot of childish immaturity, and totally dragged my day into the shitter. But then hanging out with the Ushi boardies at Main Event cheered me up. ^_^ (Kris-Kon... XD) Even the ever elusive Tala showed up. *gasp* j/k XD So yeah. The youngins got kicked out at 10, so everyone pretty much left. Talked with Newbeh, Alora, and Eric outside aboot FFXI til like 11:30, then started heading back to SA. Got back to the apartment, and then we watched FF7:AC, since I bought the DVD at the con. (granted, bootleg.... but still) Didn't go to sleep til like 4am. ^^;;

Tuesday: Woke up around noon, started watching Full Metal Panic, which is quite good actually, then left around 2pm. Had to stop in Austin again to talk to Grandma, and yeah. Avoided all traffic for the most part, which is always a good thing. b^_^ Started listening to the Sox/Astros game on the radio in Dallas.... As long as that damn thing went, I was in Missouri by the time it was over. XDXD Went to sleep around 2am at the evil rest stop in Joplin that I swore I would never stop at again... x.x;;;;

Wednesday: Woke up around 8, got back to driving. Talked to random people on AIM, and kept checking the Ushi boards. Yes, I was bored out of my mind in my car... Plus my knee REALLY started killing me... But oh well. Talked to Tala about some random stuff, and promised her I'd do my best to help. b^_^ I hope I did a good job, and finally gave her the slap in the face she's been needing for a while now. Then after she talks about her stuff, I mention the cute girl at the rave. To which she knew who she was.. ^^;;; But anyhow... Got home about 6:30, and started checking stuff online. Forums, emails, etc. I had 400 emails on my AOL name to sift thru, 100 emails at work, and yeah... But I got thru it all. Then out of nowhere, Bunny-Chan IM's me. ^^;;;;; We talk for a bit. She's 15.... >_<;;; Further proof to my logic that states any cute girl you see at an anime con is either already with someone, or 16. ;;_;; Stayed up to watch the Sox sweep the Astros, and yeah... Went to bed around midnight, which was stupid of me...

Today: Worked at 5am. I hate my fucking job.... Not being here a week, then coming back to sheer hell.... Yeah.... -_-;;;;;;


So yeah. There's my vacation report. Some cool stuff happened, some not cool stuff happened. Nothing special happened. Now we wait 3 months, and see what happens when I go back down for Ushicon/Yoko Ishida. Will Ushicon finally be where Kris finds someone?

Probably not. But who knows.

I'm gonna take a shower and get ready to go up to Austin for the day, hopefully with Kaylyn and Andrew.

Holy crap, so much good football yesterday!! My only complaint was the overabundunce of Big 10 games I had to watch.... But surprisingly, most of them were good. Michigan St/Ohio St was very good. As was Penn St/Michigan. I just wish I could of seen the Texas game, but oh well. I watched a play by play on espn.com, and that was good enough.

But wow, that Norte Dame/USC game was awesome.... There's just something about when you have two teams that are both very good playing each other that brings out the awesomeness of the game. Granted, USC won on a bullshit call.......but oh well.

Truth be told, I was cheering for Norte Dame. They win, then Texas gets the number 1 ranking. =D

But oh well.

Besides... Now, I want USC to go undefeated. Then at the Rose Bowl, (which is basically a home game for USC...) Texas can come in and shock the world for the second year in a row. =D


At this point, I'm hoping for Astros and White Sox in the World Series. Then for the Astros to win it. That'll shut the fuckers up around here... Hehehehe. (fuckin white sox....)

Today: (what's left of it) Watch football. Wait for the first pack of SEB to finish downloading, then start the second one. Do a little work on Karasu to see if it's fixable or not... Chillax.
Tomorrow: Work 5-1. Call kayoubi, and wish an uber happy birthday. Start packing the little shit, so i don't forget it.
Tuesday: Work 5-1. Sister's birthday. Finish packing. Figure out what's going on with my room while I'm gone.......more on that later.
Wednesday: Work 5-10ish? Load up the car, get the fuck outta here.

Now I have no clue when I'm gonna get to Tyler, especially since I'm taking a path I've never taken before. So this should be rather fun. ^^;; All I know is I gotta go from Elgin, to the south side, to 57, take that basically thru all of Illinois, going thru Kankakee, Champainge, etc. Then get on 55 in Missouri, then Get on 40 in Arkansas, then 30 in the middle of Arkansas, then figure out where I'm staying in Tyler. ^^;;

Now let's hope Mapquest doesn't fuck this shit up. XD

It SAYS 15 hours... But we'll see. ^^;;;


So yeah. When I get home, my room is getting a complete makeover. My room has basically been set up the same for the last 4 years, and I think it's time for a change. (mainly cause I got wires going ALLLLL over the place, and it's time to clean some of them up... hehe)

But moreover, my room is the only room in the whole house that hasn't been painted. No, really....my mom painted every room in the house except for mine. It still has the white walls it had when we moved in. Well.....almost white... One corner is seriously turning black... And the maroon from my sheets is rubbing off o a spot on the wall from my bed... ^^;;; So when I'm gone, she's gonna paint it. But that means I have to move everything off of the wall. So I'm disconnecting my PC and all that (also so my sisters can't fuck with shit on there), moving all my gaming stuff, putting my bed in the living room temporarily, and yeah...

Like I said... Complete makeover... And I have that to look forward to when I get home.. x.x;;; Instead of sleeping or unpacking... I have to organize my room the way I want it. Not cool, but oh well. =/ Personally, I wanted to do this after I got back, but my mom wants to do it while I'm gone. So yeah...


Oh... And my uber secret awesome costume.... I have 3 days to work on it, and I just figured out an awesome way of getting it done. b^_^ So it MIGHT be unveiled at Oni, or it might not... I don't know yet... But I'm hoping for yes. ^_^

Alrighty.... 5 days til I leave for Oni.

It's weird... I've been talking about OniCon for a while now, not even mentioning crap-actor, (which to me sounds more like some sort of VIP party thing than some con..... you lost me at the pole dancers...) But anyhow, someone actually asked me yesterday if I was going to Reactor....

I mean, first off, the slut is gonna be there, so yeah... (yes, i'm still bitter, even after 2 years. i still wish her death and getting raped at a frat party at her precious college and whatnot) But more important, I have much happier times waiting for me down in Texas...

Heh... Maybe for shits and giggles, I should start the rumor that I AM going to Reactor, in a pissed mood, and bringing like a shotgun or flamethrower or some shit like that... Yanno, sorta like at ACEN where people got their panties in a bunch.

To me, this shit's funny.


But anyhow, I got a lot of crap I gotta do in the next couple days. Mainly....work my ass off. x.x;;; It's all good tho, cause I'm working 48 hours this week. So I'm gonna have like a 400 dollar paycheck next week.. RAWK!! \m/^_^ Then, add in the 120 bucks that I've saved for this weekend from my tax rebate check I got back in February (yes, i saved money for that long... WOWZORBZ), any money I might win from the football pool this weekend, and yeah. I'm not even gonna need my damn credit cards here! =D Granted....I'll probably bring one, just in case the car breaks down or something... x.x;;; Always gotta plan for the worst when you take long road trips like this, cause you never know what might happen.

Plus, I'm taking a new path down. Normally, I drive from Chicago to St. Louis, thru Missouri to Oklahoma, thru Oklahoma to Dallas, then Dallas to Houston. But since I'm stopping at Kayoubi's on the way down, and Tyler's like completely out of the way... XD So this time, I'm going from Chicago to St. Louis, staying on 55 and basically going down to Memphis, (so close to Jessica's.... ;_;) then across Arkansas to Texas, then in Tyler. Then it's a pretty much straight shot from Tyler to Houston.

Just so long as I don't have to stop at that rest stop in Joplin again, like I did last time I drove.... -_-;;;;;;;


But anyhow, back to the stuff I need to do.. XD

First off, I need to do laundry today. Then again on Tuesday. Why today? Simple.....I'm out of clean boxers and "work" shirts. XDXD Then I'll do it again before I leave, and yeah. Then I gotta pack, load up, and misc.

On top of that tho, I gotta get an oil change, tho technically I should just do the 60,000 miles maintaince on the car... I don't have the money for that tho, so just an oil change is gonna have to suffice for now. Then I gotta get a car wash, cause I want my car to look good..... Or as good as it's gonna look given the current state it's in.... I gotta get my sister's birthday present and stuff, since her birthday's on Tuesday. (And Kayoubi's is Monday, but I already got her something)

I'm talked a guy into trading me a brand new X-Box.. XDXD

See, about a month ago, I bought a DS from work for I think either 70 or 100 bucks. I forget how much we had them on sale for. (probably 100) Then I went to GameStop to buy a couple games. So I think I spent like 60 on the games.

Well yesterday, he's like "hey, I'll buy your DS for 50 bucks." I'm like "well, i bought some games too..." So he's like "ok, 100 for all of it." So I started thinking about it...

Then I talked to Angie, and she gave me an uber idea.

I went back to him and said.... "Tell ya what. I'll give you the DS and 3 games.... If you get me an X-Box. I don't care where you get it, how you get it. So long as it works, there's wires, and a controller." This sparked his interest.... SCORE!!!!

So today, he was talking to his brother about it. I mentioned to them how at work this week, we get 14% instead of our normal employee discount of 10%. So he could buy a new X-Box for 138, and still be saving more money than if he went and bought the DS and games. Then he was saying how he had some stuff he was gonna sell to gamestop and such, and I said I'd prefer not to get a used one...more like a refurb would be nice... But new is awesome. Then they talked some more about it.....

Later this morning, I had to go to another store to drop something off and pick something up. But before I go, they're all "OK, we're gonna go buy a refurbished X-Box from EB during a break. Go home and get your DS." So I stop at home on the way to the other store, come back, and what do ya know... They didn't go to EB, they got it from here brand new.. XDXD So I scored a brand spankin new XBox today. W00T!



So I'm kinda getting dicked by work right now...but it's of my own doing really. My last day off was on Thursday, ok? So this week, my days off would be Tuesday and Thursday. But the other guy that works in my department needed Tuesday off. So we switched Monday and Tuesday. So I was supposed to have Monday off... But this guy is relatively new, and doesn't know how to do the Monday morning paperwork. So I had to go in Monday morning to do that. Granted, it was only for a couple hours, but to me, if I have to wake up to get to work at 5, then it's not considered a day off.

And basically the same thing is happening tomorrow... I'm supposed to be off, but they're having an upgrade to the registers at 5am, and I need to be here for that... So I don't get a single day off this week.. x.x;;;

Then next week, I'm working Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed, so I can leave town on Wednesday.

So in reality.... I'm working 2 straight weeks without a day off.... x.x;;;;;;;;;;;;

But then I'll be in Texas for a week... So it's ok... XD

Plus the sheer amount of overtime I'm planning on racking up this week, which I'll get paid next Friday, which conveinently is when I'll be in Texas... ^_~


And.....yeah... That's it really... I seriously have nothing going on right now. It's the usual calm before the con. Next week is when the fun begins. =D

Ok.... Sooooo... Who here owns an X-Box.... >>;;;

No seriously... I have some questions aboot it. Cause I'm *thinking* about finally getting one.... Yeah, I know... The 360 is about to come out, and I'm just now getting around to considering to buy the old one... Go figure... Sorta like how I didn't buy a Dreamcast til the end of it's life cycle. (when we clearanced them out at work for 40 bucks. XD)

Well now I'm just wondering some stupid stuff about the X-Box. Examples:

People say they turn their box's into massive emulators... How do you do that?
Do you need to mod the system at all to be able to read burned games?
How exactly does the system work... Does it run off of disc, or off of hard drive?
Do you really need any memory cards? Doesn't everything save on the hard drive?
Etc etc.

I'm thinking about either getting a refurb or a used one at Gamestop or something. Then going from there.



The lure of Ultra Mix 3 is too much to pass up..... -_-;;;;;;;;;
I said I'd never buy a system for one game, but Ultra Mix 3 just looks too good right now. What with all the awesome remixes and massively improved game modes and online mode.... =(

Now this isn't something I'm gonna run out and just do. I'm still trying to win an X-Box360 off of that Mt. Dew thing going on right now.. XD But if that don't work out, then I'll go and do that or something. And yeah.

If you can't trust family......who the hell can you trust?


My sister has proven to be the worst kind of scum on this earth. And this time, I have proof.


At work, I run this weekly football pool. I handle all the money, determine the outcome, then pay the winners. Last night before I went to bed, I took the money that was collected from the weekend's action, and put it in my wallet. Then today, I go to pay the guy, and I notice.... 40 bucks is missing....

Now let me go back a little more. This isn't the first time money has magically disappeared from someone's wallet. My parents have had money stolen from them numerous times in the last couple months. We all know it's Lyndsay that's doing it, but have no hard proof. I mean, I know I'm not doing it, and have no reason to lie about it. I know my parents aren't doing it, because why would they steal from each other? And I'm pretty sure my other sister isn't doing it because she isn't really having any financial issues. Naturally, my parents thought it was me.....but I would NEVER stoop that low to stealing from family.... So this left my sister.

This is actually the 2nd time I've had money stolen from me in the last month. When I went to A-Fest, I found out her boyfriend spent the night in my room........which pissed me off to begin with, but yeah... Anyhow, I go to clean my room a bit, since my stuff was messed with, and I notice that the money I had hidden in my desk was moved around.... I could of SWORN I had 200 bucks in there... 2 100 bills. But now it was a 100 and a 20.... Did they steal 80 bucks from me?!? Or was I stupid, and not remember using the 100 and leaving a 20? But why would I do that??

I couldn't do anything about it since there was that element of doubt....


But this time.... I have ALL the proof I need... For I KNOW I put the money in there last night... 90 bucks folded up, 30 bucks folded up, then my normal money which was 30 bucks. My 30 was left alone, the other 30 was left alone, and the 90 turned in to 50, with 2 20's disappearing.....

My mom is in Texas, so she didn't do it.
My dad wouldn't do that, so he didn't do it.
My one sister wouldn't do it....

That leaves the little bitch.....


I hope she gets a good head start, because I will beat the living fuck out of her when I see her.... And I'm not even lying....

And what's worse is my parents are trying to play it off like it's no big deal. NO BIG DEAL?!? The fuck it is!!! They're LETTING her do this shit, and we're supposed to just sit here and take it?!?!? FUCK THAT
