Ah, the stuff that needs be known...
Responses:
KD - Yeah, sabbatical is somewhat right... I think. I'm not gonna bother looking it up >_>
My final intention concerning this job is to afford the "higher" education... well, higher than the one I have.
A-zak - Hey ^_^ thanks for the compliment on the drawing. I drew several things last weekend, I think I'll get to scanning them in today...
answer to last weeks question:
All of them! (at least I'm pretty sure they all have kids, but they are all definitely married)
The Manga / Anime front
I have decided to add a few more things to my "must purchase" list for Anime (which takes a much bigger bite out of the wallet):
- Ergo Proxy
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- FLCL
There are others I may buy pending that I find them for substantial visual testing including:
- Lucky Star
- Dokuro Chan (pending on an actual DVD release)
- Ninja Nonsense (pending on wallet matters)
I have purchased the Last Exile thin pack, but my foolish internet antics (concerning the previously mentioned anime) have prevented me from having time to watch it all on DVD yet.
I have almost enough of Ken Akamatsu's Manga (Love Hina, A.I. Love You, and Negima!) to burst my shelf apart at its dowel-laden seams. It appears I have to rearrange it or possibly get a new shelf... (I don't need those Harry Potter books on there, do I?)
The total of which comes to be: 77 volumes
I only need 23 more to make it an even 100... wow.
Other matters that might interest you
I might as well mention it now, but several weeks ago it was decreed that a new policy in my church's college group take place. That policy states that no male in the college group may ask a girl out, however, any girl may ask a guy out.
Sadie Hawkins dance, nothin'. This is Sadie Hawkins life, right? Well, it was a choice to be left up to the guys to make (although I wouldn't call it much of a choice) before the girls would return. Needless to say this perturbed the guys in the group greatly for a number of weeks before the decision was made (not without some incoherent yelling on the part of our older adult leader). At the end I still disagreed with the restrain it put on me, because of the interest I had just developed in the group. I was also annoyed that the decision was made based on the actions of two people who, as far as I know, may no longer be in the group. I feel that there is no way that I, with my somewhat poor social skills (especially with girls) can get a relationship going. I'm not asking for help, because this is a terribly unique problem for guys. I could say "sucks to the rules" and ask anyhow (if I ever get such courage), but I couldn't know whether there are any consequences should it cause a complaint. This issue almost killed our group, and the decision left to the guys was really an ultimatum disguised as one of the possible solutions (alas, there were no other solutions to barter for). That is why the guys had such a hard time accepting it including myself.
Another pic from last weekend:
This is what I was "cosplaying" as for most of the weekend. I was feelin' no pain ^-^
That is pretty much it for this weeks update, I'll have to get to everybody's sites later >_o
