Naruto High School Part 8 - The Love Bug bites!.... NOT SHINO!!!!.... or is he?
Read the title. It'll give you a little info on what's up.
I know, stupid title, but i do have an idea about it....

Right below this post is the beginning of my New Konoha series. Check it out and give me some feedback. Comments are always welcome, even if it is a late post.

Homeroom

"So let me get this straight...." Itachi said.

Naruto: Baseball, Basketball
Sasuke: Soccer, Basketball
Chouji: Nothing
Shikamaru: Nothing
Ino: Cheerleading
Sakura: Volleyball
Hinata: Volleyball
Kiba: Soccer
Shino: Nothing

"That's right!" Naruto said.

Itachi smirked. "Congrats! Now, where was I? Oh yes, here's your homework assignment, or should i say, assignments." He pulled a string and a bunch of papers fell on top of the class.

"Good luck!"

THE NEXT DAY!!!!

Naruto and Sasuke dropped their homework assignments on Itachi's desk.

"That took me forever," Naruto said. "Even my dad didn't know this stuff. And your brother had to go to everyteacher, get our assignments and hand them to us on Tryout Day."

Sasuke shrugged. "What did you have trouble on?"

"Photosynthesis. I mean, my dad said it was associated with photography, but i'm not so sure..." Naruto put a finger to his chin as in thought.

"Ni-san helped me," Sasuke said, putting away his pen. "Let's get going. We have to prepare the dance."

Ino, Sakura, and a bunch of other girls in their freshmen class were crowded in the gym gossiping about..... well you should know. Boys.

"So, who are you taking to the dance, Ino?" asked one.

Ino sighed (like the drama queen she is, thought Sakura). "I want the perfect man. He needs to be perfect!"

Sakura sighed. "Ino, nobody's perfect."

The blonde girl shot her a death glare. "Quit hiding it, Sakura. Admit it, you also have a crush on Sasuke."

"N-no! Well I.... I...." Sakura stuttered.

"Unfinished sentences, you've been caught!" Ino wagged her index finger. "I dare you to ask him to the dance."

"If you do it first!" Sakura protested.

"Yeah, but he'll probably say yes," Ino said.

Sakura rolled her eyes. "Prove it."

Ino walked over to Sasuke as soon as he walked into the double doors that lead into the gym.

"Hey..." Sasuke said. "What is it, Ino?"

Ino didn't waste anytime. "Wanna go to the dance?"

Sasuke sighed. "You're about the seventh girl that asked me that. No, i'm sorry. But I want to ask someone else...."

Shikamaru immediately zipped up. "I'll take you, Ino!"

"Dork," the girl muttered, walking away.

Naruto glanced at his friend. "So, you said no to Ino Yamanaka, one of the most popular girls in school?"

"Yeah."

Naruto sighed. "I don't have a date yet, either. No girl likes me..."

"I wouldn't say that," a voice behind them said. Both boys spun around to see that Kiba Inuzuka was late and had mud stuck all over his face.

"Akamaru ran away, so i had to catch him. I told him not to eat chocolate."

Sasuke pulled out a napkin and wiped off the brown stuff on Kiba's face. "Mud, or chocolate?"

"Chocolate," the Inuzuka replied. He wiped his finger on his cheek and licked off the chocolate.

"Can we get back to me here?" Naruto said. "Who likes me?"

"Hinata, she never stops talking about you," Kiba said.

Naruto laughed really hard. He laughed and laughed and laughed until Itachi appeared behind him and told him to cut it out before you're dead and bleeding on the ground.

"I hate laughter," Itachi muttered. (Mostly because of the Kisame's accident)

Hinata? Naruto thought as he glanced at the Hyuuga girl. She was pretty and nice.... but she also wasn't that Miss Shy Girl like she was in middle school. She was strong and independant all of a sudden. Naruto gulped. Might as well take it. After all, she might be a cool girlfriend. Okay here it goes. Take a step, Naruto Take a step... Move Naruto.... Move.... Move....

"MOVE!" Itachi screeched, pushing Naruto out of the way. Sakura was so surprised that she dropped the heavy box she was carrying on Sasuke's foot. Hinata nearly fell into the punch and Kiba screamed like a little girl.

"You kids are pathetic," the elder Uchiha muttered, leaving the room.

"Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked, walking to the blonde. "Um... wanna..."

"Go to the dance with me?" Naruto asked.

"That's what i was going to ask!" Hinata exclaimed.

"Yes!" the both yelled.

Shino looked from the side with a smile on his face. Couple one, completed.

(yes, he is the school matchmaker! Get it? He's the love BUG!!!! Ha! Okay that was the dumbest joke. I'm such a dork. Oh well.)

Hinata walked right past Shino and handed him $50 dollars. "Thanks," she muttered.

"Welcome," Shino said. "Told ya. I just had to tell Kiba the right words and you should just walk up and ask him..." Before Shino was done with the explination, Hinata had already gone to help Naruto. "I'm good," he said. "Very Good."
