"No, get away from her!" Sasuke yelled, trying to run over until his view got blocked by Kisame and Deidara. "Get out of the way!" Sasuke cried, trying to push through the two Akatsuki members. No luck. Finally, the two members stepped out of the way. "No," Sasuke mumbled, seeing blood on the ground, spilling from Sakura's back, and dripping from Itachi's kunai. "What did you do?" Sasuke yelled.
Itachi stared at Sasuke calmly. "It's for your own good," he mumbled. Sasuke didn't listen. The two Akatsuki members blocked Sasuke's view again once the elder Uchiha had advanced on the sleeping sensei. Again, once Deidara and Kisame moved out of the way, Sasuke saw a similar sight.
"Stop it!" Sasuke yelled. "Why do you keep torturing me like this?" he cried. Itachi just killed more people that was important to him, and he felt horrible inside.
Sasuke clenched his fist. There was no way that Itachi was going to get away with that. He looked up at his brother with angry eyes. Sharingan eyes to be exact...or something like that.
"Finally," Itachi whispered. "The Mangekyo Sharingan." Sasuke didn't realize it at first. Instead of the usual Sharingan blazing in his eyes, it was the Mangekyo, the long awaited Sharingan, and the most powerful.
"Nani...?" Kisame exclaimed. "I thought you had to kill your best friend." Itachi sighed.
"I thought about this for a while, now. It all started because of the fact that Kakashi earned the Mangekyou without killing his best friend. I investigated more on the matter, and it just turned out that really you just had to believe that your best friend died." Itachi turned to Obito, who was listening quite quietly for a while. "I suppose you were acquainted to Hatake Kakashi-san, Tobi."
"What? You're in on this too?" Deidara demanded, grabbing hold of Sasuke so he didn't interfere with Itachi's explaination. "Why aren't we let in on these kind of things."
"Hn. That isn't the point," Itachi answered the confused blonde.
Tobi probably would have made an annoyed face, but a mask covered his facial expressions. Itachi continued, "I've been wondering for a while-why would a person wear a mask with only one eyehole?"
"Uh, it's because...well..." Tobi awkwardly said, backing up a little. "Why are you interested anyway? It's none of your business...!"
"You're left eye is missing, right?" Itachi pushed on. Tobi simply nodded. "Well, then, lets see what's under that mask of yours."
Tobi groaned. "No way. It's honestly none of your business! Just leave me alone, Itachi-sempai." Itachi nodded, mumbling 'fine'.
"Then do I have a right to believe that you are Uchiha Obito?"
"WHAT?!?!?!?!" a voice familiar voice said from out of no where. Everyone in the area flinched, except for the struggling Sasuke.
"Who was that...?" Kisame asked, looking around and beginning to help Deidara hold back the younger Uchiha.
"Ignore it," Itachi simply said. But, no one could ignore the faint sounds of someone trying to make someone else shut up.
Tobi folded is arms. "Genius, Itachi. Genius. You really think...that I could be an Uchiha, just like you?!"
Itachi smirked. "It's just a thought. Forget it, but I will find out...eventually." Tobi flinched, walking away. The words that Itachi just recently spoken seemed to trouble that Akatsuki member deeply.
"Itachi-san, why did you help your brother earn the Mangekyou?" Kisame asked. "I didn't know you would do such a thing..."
"That is not for you to know," Itachi quietly murmured. Deidara shrugged, still competing in the in Sasuke's struggle to break free. "You don't have to worry, though."
Sasuke probably had a feeling that Itachi was talking directly to him. He stopped, Deidara and Kisame holding onto him tightly. "What do you mean 'I don't have to worry'...?" Itachi sighed, everyone seeing that he didn't want to go through the trouble of explaining anything.
"You're friends. You don't have to worry about them anymore," Itachi sighed, brushing some of his bangs out of the way of his face. "They're fine."
"W-What?" Sasuke cried, the Mangekyou fading away from his eyes. "You...you killed them. It doesn't make any sense."
"Why did you think I ordered the Akatsuki members to block your view?" Itachi demanded. Sasuke winced, feeling totally humiliated. His brother outsmarted him again, as usual.
"I, uh..." Sasuke mumbled, his gaze wandering away from his older brother's alluring stare. "I..." he stuttered again.
"Foolish, as usual," Itachi mumured, turning away. "Still, even with the interference, everything still went smoothly."
Deidara asked. "What, so you were planning things behind our backs!?" Itachi ignored the bewildered Akatsuki member.
"They weren't worth killing," Itachi quietly said. "As were you." Sasuke flinched, looking away in despair. Itachi sighed, pushing on with is words. "But really, no one has to die to earn the Mangekyou, especially in Kakashi-san's situation."
"What does this have to do with Kakashi-sensei!?" Sasuke demanded, getting angry that Itachi didn't get to the point yet.
"That's none of your business at the moment, and I am not the right person to tell you so," the elder Uchiha answered him. "You earned the Mangekyou anyway. There's no point in telling you." Itachi began to walk away, until a kunai flew. Itachi swiftly dodged it, jumping away from the explosion caused by the explosion tag attached.
"Nani...?!" Kisame yelled, leaving Deidara to run to Itachi's side. "What's going on, Itachi-san?" Itachi didn't answer for a while. The smoke from the explosion finally cleared, revealing Kabuto, Orochimaru, and a few Sound Shinobi. "What are you doing here...Orochimaru?" Kisame demanded. Sasuke looked up in surprise, and after seeing Orochimaru he hurriedly looked back down. The younger Uchiha seemed to not have a care in the world about the Snake Dude.
"Give us back the Uchiha Sasuke-kun," Kabuto announced, kunai in hand.
"Itachi-san, why don't we hand over Sasuke, then?" Kisame whispered to Itachi. Itachi threw the shark-man an irritated look.
"'Hand over Sasuke'?" Itachi's Sharingan bled back into his midnight eyes. "Never. If we do so, he would be a threat to everyone-including us. We cannot take those chances, especially now that Sasuke has unlocked the Mangekyou."
"Fine, fine," Deidara groaned, still keeping a tight grip on Sasuke. "Do I really have to hold onto this kid any longer? It's really getting annoying." Itachi scowled.
"Fine. Hand him over," the elder Uchiha groaned. A grin spread across the tall blonde's face as he threw Sasuke (literally) to Itachi. The elder Uchiha caught Sasuke, who nearly threw up because Deidara threw him like a football, and dashed over to the edge of the forest. "Kisame, let's go," Itachi ordered.
"Alright," Kisame mumured, about to jump away.
"OI! ARE YOU TWO ABANDONING ME!?!" Deidara screamed, jumping onto his bird. "Geez, can I trust anyone?"
Itachi groaned, not wanting to go through more interferences. "Let go of me!" Sasuke cried, trying to break free from Itachi's firm grasp. "Let me go!" the younger Uchiha yelled. Itachi ignored the two currently screaming people, again about to jump away until Orochimaru's tongue lunged forward,(get away from him, gayman) getting a firm grip on the elder Uchiha's neck.
"I will not lose to you again," Orochimaru yelled, jumping down from his perch and approaching the comepletely unfazed Uchiha. Kabuto jumped down next to Orochimaru, a kunai at hand.
"GO!" a loud mouth voice screamed.
"NANI?!?!?" Kisame yelled, spotting a group of Konoha Ninjas appearing from out of no where. They were consisting of: Hyuuga Hinata, Hatake Kakashi, Haruno Sakura, and Uzumaki Naruto.
Surprises.
"G-Guys..." Sasuke muttered, still trying to break free of his older brother's grip. Itachi glared at Sasuke, who was still struggling as if his life depended on it.
"Foolish little brother...won't you learn?" Itachi yelled.
"You still have time to pay attention to others?" Orochimaru yelled, his tongue tightening around Itachi's neck. "Heh, you're going to die here, Uchiha Itachi!"
"I don't think so," Itachi quietly murmured. Kisame's sword cut through Orochimaru's back, giving Itachi the chance to escape from Orochimaru's grip. Itachi tried to flee again, until he felt something stop him in his tracks.
"Don't underestimate Konoha," said a lazy sounding voice. Nara Shikamaru, Inuzuka Kiba, and Rock Lee stood there, at the ready. Shikamaru's shadow was caught onto both Itachi and Orochimaru.
"You came!" Naruto yelled, running over to the three Chuunin's sides, closely followed by Sakura, Hinata, and Kakashi. "These people have really crossed the line. We've got to stop them."
"I know, I know," Shikamaru said lazily. "I've already divised a plan on our way over here, right?" the lazy shinobi turned to Kiba and Lee, who nodded. "Don't worry about it. We'll finish off these people!"
"You really think you can beat us both?" Orochimaru challenged. Shikamaru shrugged, not saying anything.
"Watch out!" Kakashi yelped, turning to Shikamaru. "It'll just be a matter of time until-"
Kakashi wasn't able to finish his warning. Itachi broke through the Kagemane no Jutsu, also backfiring it on the shinobi. "Heh..." Shikamaru sighed. Even with his supeiror analyzing ablilities, Shikamaru didn't know much about Sharingan. "What is this...?"
"You ignorant Konoha shinobi," Itachi murmured, his hold on Sasuke firm, yet slightly gentle. Sasuke was still struggling against his grip. Itachi turned to Sasuke, "It's no use. Don't waste your energy on trying to escape."
Along with Itachi, Orochimaru broke free of the Genjutsu. Orochimaru engaged in a battle between Itachi, trying to pry Sasuke away from his grasp. "Let go of him! He's mine!" (Gayman) Orochimaru clutched onto Sasuke's arms, and Itachi, not wanting to dislocate his younger brother's shoulders, let go of him.
"Aah!" Sasuke cried, getting pulled over to Orochimaru. An explosion came from behind the snake-like shinobi, caused by our favorite artist Deidara.
"You underestimate the power of the Akatsuki, yeah!" Deidara yelled, hauling up Sasuke to his bird. "HA!" Kisame shook his head, grabbing Orochimaru.
Itachi emerged from the smoke caused by Deidara's explosion, only to get pulled back by Rock Lee and Kiba. "If genjutsu doesn't work, maybe we can hold you back by force!" Lee said boldly.
"You pieces of poop," Itachi murmured, obviously getting annoyed, his struggle to break free getting even more violent by the second. Akamaru lept up, biting Itachi's leg.
"Good job, Akamaru!" Kiba laughed, still clutching onto the struggling Uchiha. Kakashi appeared behind Itachi.
"I know you have supierior observing abilites, do you not?" Kakashi grinned under his mask, pressing a kunai through Itachi's back just as Itachi did in episode 82. But, again, just as it was in that same episode, it was only a Kage Bunshin.
"Kage Bunshin!" yelled Sakura, running over and grabbing onto Deidara.
"LET GO OF ME, YEAH!" Deidara yelled fighting against the Konoha kunoichi's super strong grasp. "LET GO!!! YEAH!!!"
Naruto ran up and latched onto Kisame. Kakashi ran over and captured Orochimaru. "You're not getting away!" Lee and Kiba yelled, chasing after the real Itachi, who was still holding onto Sasuke.
"Stop! Let go of me!" Sasuke howled, kicking his legs furiously.
"Man, I feel real sorry for Sasuke!" Naruto yelled.
"Sakura! You and Hinata go after Itachi! I trust you to come back alive with Sasuke!" Shikamaru yelled. If only they got more people to help out.
"I know what you're thinking, you dobe!" a female voice yelled behind them. Again. It was Temari, Kankurou, Hyuuga Neji, and Maito Gai.
"What are you doing here? There's too many shinobi in one area!" Kiba whined right after Shikamaru ordered him to help out Sakura and Hinata. Temari jumped in, nearly wacking Deidara's head until his bird came down and clawed at the Suna Kunoichi.
"Temari!" Kankurou yelled, but he underestimated his sister. It was a substitution. The bird gave up on the log, and flung itself at Gai and Lee, who just finished off the extra Sound Shinobi.
"Dang, this fight is getting crowded!" Lee cried loudly, he and Gai-sensei rapidly removing their weights and flinging them at the bird, instantly turning it back to a hunk of clay.
"Get him!" Lee yelled. He dashed over to Kabuto, who tried to free Orochimaru from Kakashi. Gai yelled, "Konoha Senpuu!" kicking Kisame yet again.
"YOU!" Kisame growled, struggling against Naruto, and after no effort at all breaking away from him. The half-shark began slashing his sword to and fro at Gai, his grudge still held up high. That led to many openings, and the frustrated Akatsuki was defeated quickly by Konoha's noble Jounin.
"Let me go!" Kabuto yelled through the battle, dashing as fast as he could away from Lee, who just tasted some of the sake in a Sound Shinobi's pack.
"I'm at the highest level of YOUTH!" Lee cried, with his super speed and drunk fist. Gai caught Lee's idea and picked up another sake bottle, drinking it down quickly. Neji stayed out of the way of the youth-obsessed drunked fist users, and started attacking the helpless Orochimaru with his Juuken.
"Get him, Akamaru!" Kiba ordered his dog. Akamaru jumped and caught onto Itachi's leg.
"Grrgh! Stupid animal!" Itachi growled kicking it away as quickly as possible.
"Sasuke-kun! Are you alright!?" Sakura cried, taking the chance and grabbing Sasuke out of his older brother's arms. Hinata caught up with them, trying to attack Itachi with her Juuken. Itachi swiftly dodged the attack, grabbing Hinata's hand and flipping her over.
"We've got you cornered, Uchiha Itachi!" Kiba announced. It was true. Itachi was against four Chuunin, and a dog.
"Like it matters. I can beat all of you," Itachi said, though he looked fatigued.
"Give it up!" Sasuke said. "Today is the day! I WILL kill you!" Hinata and Sakura glanced at both Uchihas, noting that they wanted to fight alone.
"Sasuke-kun won't lose!" Sakura yelled, though not very sure of it herself.
"Fine, we'll let you have your fight, but if things get bad, we'll bust in, you got that?" Kiba growled.
"Iiya!" Sasuke stubbornly retorted. "I will kill him! There's no way that I will lose!"
"Humph. Don't get cocky, foolish little brother," Itachi responded cooly.
Their battle begun, while a fierce one took place close by. Kisame was down, Deidara was severely wounded, Kabuto was still being chased by both drunken fist users, and Orochimaru had all of his chakra cut off thanks to Hyuuga Neji. Shikamaru stood up.
"I didn't plan for this to happen, but it did," the lazy dude announced. He turned to Neji. "Do you know how to snap these two out of it?"
"Yeah, but I will need some help," Neji admitted. "We'll just wait until they knock out that Kabuto character."
"Fine by me," Kankurou answered. "I'll just do it!"
"Don't do that," Neji frowned. He stared at the two of them now attacking the cornered Orochimaru's right-hand man. "They'll just go after you...there, he's knocked out. I guess it's hopeless against two drunken fist users.
"Oookay," Kankurou said.
"Now we stop them," Neji replied. "Just scratch them. That should be enough." Luckily, they caught them off guard, and quickly turned off their drunked frenzy mode. Shikamaru went off to check on the Itachi pursuit team, hoping that they didn't get too far or else it would be troublesome.
He saw Sasuke and Itachi, engaged in a battle to the death. Sasuke's abilities had improved significantly-almost a match to Itachi. Both their Sharingans blazed crimson, as they predicted each other's next moves, and looked through each other's ninjutsu and genjutsu.
Because of the Sharingan, the battle seemed too fast to see. Their speed just barely surpassed Lee and Gai's, and both their ninjutsu and genjutsu was comepletely useless against each other.
"Guess all we can do now is wait," Naruto appeared next to them.
"Oi, I thought you were watching over the others that we just defeated?" Shikamaru asked.
"Nah, the others got that covered. Kakashi-sensei put them all to sleep," Naruto answered the stragetic chuunin.
"Fine, fine," Shikamaru said. "They can still be a threat, remember that."
"Hai, hai, but there's enough people watching them," Naruto groaned.
*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^
Smoke seemed to rise up from that battle Sasuke and Itachi were having. Someone may have used a smoke bomb or something.
"Sasuke!"
"Sasuke-kun!" Sasuke's team seven called for him.
"What happened?" Hinata breathed, biting her lip. The smoke seemed to lift slightly. Someone did use a smoke bomb, but the battle was still carrying on through the night. Both were obviously tired, but neither of them would give up or call it a tie.
"Sasuke-kun! Beat him up!" Sakura yelled. The battle was visible now, and it seemed like both their Sharingans wore out. Both their attacks were heavy and tired, and their foot work was slightly messy.
"How long has this battle been going on?" Naruto asked Kiba. The dog owner shrugged.
"It's been going on for quite a while now. It's no joke that they're tired!"
"Hai, hai..." Naruto groaned. They heard a familiar noise suddenly. The kitsune boy looked up, and saw the ultra chidori again. "Yeah! Go Sasuke!" Naruto cheered.
"You won't get me with that move!" Itachi growled, a kunai appearing in his hand. What was he planning to do then?
Sasuke smirked, a plan up his sleeve. Instead of using his old chidori, when the chakra was in his hand, he was using his sword again. Itachi's eyes narrowed, not seeing anyone do that before.
He charged, the lightning-like chakra still running through his sword. Itachi was smart enough not to use his kunai, though. He quickly moved to the side to evade Sasuke's huge movement. He was about to attack until something very sudden occured. The Sasuke he dodged was a kage bunshin, and it was thanks to the fact that Itachi's Sharingan was turned off that Itachi didn't know. The real Sasuke was behind him, and his raging chidori hand nearly piercing right through his older brother! (I hate it too, but we all have to move on...)
Death of an Enemy
Sakura nearly screamed. The Kisame and Deidara who just woke up and ran over just fainted when they saw the sight of one of Akatsuki's most treasured members being killed by his own younger brother.
"Sasuke-kun...you did it!" Sakura cried, running over and hugging him. Sasuke pulled his hand out of his older brother's chest, his hand and the ground coated with Itachi's blood. It was like the time when Haku died, except a little more devastating.
"I...I did it?..." Sasuke muttered, his hands slightly shaking. He wiped the blood off of his hands, and placed it into his pocket. Orochimaru and Kabuto just ran over when Itachi's limp body fell to the ground, his eyes open in the shock of death.
"Oh?" Orochimaru groaned. "Looks like I have a very...very...very low chance of winning now. Let's go, Kabuto."
"Hai," Kabuto replied, disappearing.
Sasuke fell to his knees, and he looked like he was shaking. "Sasuke-kun...?" Sakura whispered, placing her hand on his shoulder. He shrugged her hand off, staring at his older brother's dead body. Kakashi shook his head.
"Just as I thought," Kakashi murmured, shaking his head. Naruto stared at his sensei in confusion. "Let me explain...Sasuke's all alone now. Not by lonely terms, but the last Uchiha on the face of the earth! And, what I suspected, he won't be happy in the killing of Itachi. Not that he's not satisfied, but because he just killed the only one that ever payed attention to him in his childhood. He expected something happy to come out of avenging his clan, but nothing really did. That's all there is to it..."
"Sasuke..." Naruto said, slowly approaching the bloody scene. "It's alright..."
"Y-Yeah," Sasuke stuttered, standing up and staring down at the dead body. "We should take these two Akatsuki members to Konoha."
"What should we do with Itachi?" Hinata asked, her stuttering self all gone.
"We should bring him back to Konoha," Kakashi replied. "Even if he is a criminal-Konoha was, and is, his home." Gai nodded in agreement, helping Kakashi haul him up.
"Let's go," Neji quietly said. All the shinobi around nodded, and dashed back to Konoha/Suna.

Back At Konoha
"Nani?" Tsunade yelled when she saw the group of shinobi that was sent to the Akatsuki coming back...and the two Jounin carrying a dead body. "Now who could that be?" Kakashi didn't say anything and Tsunade walked over, peering at it. "That's...Uchiha Itachi?"
"What? Uchiha Itachi?" Shizune walked over, wanting to look at it with her own eyes. "So...the Uchiha Prodigy did die...But how?"
Sasuke looked away, and Tsunade nodded. "This is not only a success for you, Sasuke-kun, but for all of us, too. I don't think Orochimaru has a chance now, since you defeated the only one who could defeat him."
"Yeah..." Sasuke muttered.
A Man Brought Home.

"Sasuke-kun?" Sakura said through the silence. Sasuke was sitting in his room, looking out the mirror.
"Sakura? How did you get in here?" Sasuke asked, jolting away from his pool of thoughts.
"It's nothing, your door was just wide open, and I just had to walk in," Sakura said. "Sorry if I bothered you or anything..."
"Nah, it's alright," Sasuke responded. "I needed someone to talk to."
Sakura nodded, walking over and sitting down next to him. It was nighttime, and Sasuke had a window with a perfect view of the night sky. "Look, Sasuke-kun, I understand how you feel about your brother...and I'm really sorry."
"Don't say that," Sasuke quietly answered. "That was my goal in life, wasn't it? Do I have anything else to live for?"
Sakura frowned. "Of course you do! Stop saying such things...we have each other, and you have friends! You will find that answer in soon, I promise."
"Heh, thank you, Sakura-san," Sasuke said, a smile actually forming on his face. It was the first time he used Sakura's name with an honorific. "But, I already found a reason for me to live."
A New Goal In Life Established.
"Really? That's a relief!" Sakura smiled. She suddenly felt Sasuke's lips brush onto hers, enclosing her into a heartwarming embrace.
"Sasuke-kun..." she mumbled as she braced her hands onto Sasuke's chest, accepting his gift. "So what is your new reason?"
"To protect you, Sakura-san," Sasuke whispered, feeling her warmth against his body. He smiled. "Naruto and the others, too..."
"R-Really?" Sakura stuttered as she slowly closed her eyes. "Sasuke-kun..."
"No one else."

It's part of a series so you might not get it...it's weird in my opinion. Then again, she is weird!
