Calling All Saiyuki Fans and Minekura Fans in General!
The reason for this post is that I'm considering creating a site that would be like an "Ode to Minekura".

It would be a forum site with fanart/fanfics and a chatroom. The forum would allow us to have discussions in anything Minekura-related, including links to anything/anyone relating to her works. No question would be too big or too small. Another possibility would be hosting doujinshi.

I realize that there are some sites that already showcase a lot of things from her but I thought it would be nice to have a site specifically for her. I also realize that since I don't update my personal site much, I would need a lot of input from others. I have the hosting site, but I would need an idea for a domain name (I'll pay for that too), ppl to keep it up-to-date, translators (mainly Japanese), beta-testers, and I'm sure more. I really haven't thought of a look for the site yet either (open to suggestions), but I really wanted to get the idea out there to see how much interest there is in doing this.

Please let me know if anyone else would be interested in this.

Works in Progress
It feels like I live at my pc right now. I'm trying to get as many requests out as possible as I took on too many and thus have stopped. Commissions will be welcomed again soon (hey, I'm broke) but no more free requests until I become famous! LOL

Anyway, for all those who made requests. I'll do my best and hope all the recipients will like them and I hope no one feels bad about me doing all this. After all, it's my fault but it's really good practice for me, so I'm thankful! I am getting a bit faster. Now, if I could just be consistent. *sigh* Well, miracles like that don't happen all in one day!

Oh, I hope to see some of you fine folks at Anime USA in Virginia this month. I'll have a table in the artist alley under Tekcomics. TTFN *glomps everyone*

Return from Otakon
Well, I've made it through another Otakon. As always, I met a lot of friendly & talented people. And again, I did nothing but worked in the Alley. I was more than amazed this year with all the diversity of stuff we amateur artists offered. I didn't make much money though. :(

I added a couple of pics that I sold there in my portfolio, but I cropped them. I will be adding a cropped version of my 3D Inuyasha & Sesshomaru print which happened to be our best selling print this year. Sadly, no one bought the Tohruyasha pic although there were a lot of comments on it.

Well, I'm gonna get some rest now & back to the daily grind tomorrow. My otaku vacation was way too short. ^_^

   Finally did it!
It's been on my mind for awhile & now I finally finished the lineart for a pic of Inuyasha & Tohru Honda (still have to do Kyo & Kagome in the background looking peeved) but the main part is done. I plan to sell the final version at Otakon if I finish in time. Otherwise, I'll just take it with me to Anime USA (where I plan to meet my fav voice actor, Crispin Freeman) *faints* Hope he doesn't have to cancel. Anyway, the pic should be up soon in my portfolio. Enjoy! ^__^

   Hooray!!
My wallpapers are up!

Also, people were asking about my 3D work after viewing my Sesshomaru piece. (I'm still surprised about the response on it, but I'm glad people are enjoying it.) I am currently working on 3D versions of Saiyuki, Fruits Basket, & other Inuyasha characters but I'm just learning how to create my own clothes for my Poser characters. However, hair may be a bigger problem.

I will try my best to make more stuff for theotaku.com community! TTFN

   Slump.....
Well, it feels like I haven't been doing much. I've sorta been in a slump since my job ended last month & I didn't get into school this month. Plus, getting my art together for Otakon & celebrating my younger daughter's birthday as well as my aunt's & mine. *sigh*

Now, I'm trying to get to the point where I can color & work faster since my time is limited. Then, my health... well, I'm not 100%, but I did manage to throw a couple of quick pics together. Hopefully, I'll be back to my weird self & will have better pics to post. TTFN

   Fruits Basket Fanart
OK I've been on the computer for about six hours straight and that was after an hour of playing Guitar Hero on the PS2 with my daughter. *sigh* Time for a quick nap before making breakfast.

Anyway, I've added two pics in honor of one of my fav animes, Fruits Basket. I know they both need work & I'm working on it, just not right now. Nodding off.... TTFN

   I'm Happy...
... cuz I was worried that my latest pic with the twins, Tenshi & Enjeru, would not get approved. I mean, they are not showing any um... thing that would be censored so I guess I should not be surprised. That pic was done before I understood how to fit clothes on my characters in Poser.

Anyway, I guess I will do the other set of twins shortly. A couple of short-haired, dark-skinned bishounen with green eyes who rule the southern hemisphere & are the ruling princes of the Tora clan. Coming soon to a website near you... ^_^
