chapter 1 the unknown youkai ayumi
A (about 17-18) girl is lying in a hospital bed. A doctor and a nurse are standing next to it looking over her papers.
The girl is unconsious.

DR:im suprised that she survived.noone else did
NURSE:yes (looks at her)she'll be crushed. do they know how the fire started
DR: even if they did that's classified information
AYUMI:(stirs alittle then opens her eyes)unn... w-where am i
DR:so youre awake
AYU:(sits up and looks at the doctor) why am i in a hospital
DR:miss hatagachi im afraid i have some bad news about your family.the reason you're in a hospital is because you were found in by a fireman in the remains of your house everyone else died in the blaze that destroyed your home im sorry your the only one left
AYU:(has a very passive yet confused face then looks out the window)*how could they*
THE UNKNOWN DEMON AYUMI
IT STARTS AT THE HIGARASHI SHRINE THEIR GRANDPA IS SWEEPING IN FRONT OF THE SACRED TREE SOUTA IS PLAYING SOCCER AND BUYO IS CHASING THE BALL THEIR MOM IS TALKING TO GRANDPA AND KAGOME COMES UP THE SHRINE STAIRS WITH SOME MAIL
SOUTA:hi sis
KAG: (walks over to her mom and hands her the mail) oh hey sota
GRANDPA: oh kagome that boy hojo stopped by earlier he left a box i put it up in your room
KAG:oh thanks...inuyasha isn't here is he
SOTA:no but if you wait for a while he may show up
KAG:yeah im alittle worried i've been gone for 3 day usually he's here complaining by now
SOTA:maybe he's busy
KAG:maybe so
MOM:(was reading the mail ) oh dear
KAG:what is it mom
MOM: it's your cousin ayumi their house caught fire and it killed everyone execpt ayumi
KAG:i didn't know i had a cousin
MOM:only on your father's side she's adopted though so you're not related by blood and they want to know if since we're her only living family if we could take her in until she's of age
GRAN:of course she can sleep in kagome's room i'll set up an air bed for her
KAG: um... what about inuyasha what will she do if she sees him what would we tell her
MOM:don't worry im sure she won't tell ne one
KAG:i guess... (looks to the evening sky and it fades to the fuedal era inside keades hut)
SHIPPO: when is kagome coming back
SANGO: i don't think she said do you
MIROKU: no she did'nt
INU: nope maybe i should go get her ya think?
MIR:no give her time she may be doing something (looking at kazaana hand)
SAN: umm... miroku you've been acting strange lately is something wrong
MIR:(stands up and walks to the door)nothing's wrong(walks out)
INU: strange monk say sango why do you like him
SAN:(hits inuyasha then goes outside she sees miroku standing by the rice fields looking at his hand then walks over to him) miroku what's wrong
MIR:nothing (smiles then stops and looks at her looking at him)youve suffered through so much i'd feel guilty about complaining
SAN:why
MIR:youre so strong i would have given up so long ago
SAN:i would have given up too but (leans on his shoulder)i ve had help from my friends and from you miroku... please tell me what's wrong
MIR:the warp in my hand has grown larger
SAN:don't worry we'll kill naraku and it'll disappear
MIR:i hope
SAN: (smiles)thankyou
MIR:for what
SAN: ive been here for more than a minute and you have'nt felt me up yet
MIR:(it shows his hand reaching for her butt but then he stops smiles then put his arm around her shoulder and they walk back to keades hut)
GOES BACK TO THE PRESENT ERA IT SHOWS KAGOME'S MOM DRIVING A RENTAL CAR WITH AYUMI IN THE BACK
MOM:(looks at ayumi in the review mirror)so ayumi are you excited about being in tokyo
AYU:it's alright this is were they said they found me as a child
MOM:im sure you'll feel right at home here
AYU:(looks down and a tear drops from one of her eyes she puts her hand on the back of the seat and you get a glipse of how long her nails are the same as inuyasha's)
the car pulls into the front of the shrine stairs and ayumi and kagome's mom get out everyone else walks down the stairs as ayumi starts to pull her lugage out of the back of the car trunk
GRAN:let me help you with that
AYU:no it's alright i've got it
GRAN:are you sure
AYU:positive
SOU:only fools are positive
AYU: well then(looks at souta)i guess im a fool(she smiles and her eyes shine and you see enlonged kanine teeth)
KAG:(gasps)*is she a demon*
LATER THAT NIGHT EVERYONE IS EATING DINNER AND STARING AT AYUMI EXCEPT KAGOME WHO IS STUFFING HER FACE)
AYU:(sighs puts down her chopsticks closes her eyes then opens them and stands up)if you've got something to say say it don't stare at me
MOM:oh we're so sorry we didn't mean to stare
AYU:but you did kagome come with me please (walks out the door)
KAG:(stops eating and follows ayumi)
THEY GET OUTSIDE AND ARE STANDING IN FRONT OF THE SACRED TREE)
KAG:what did you want
AYU:i just wanted to thank you for not staring at me
KAG:oh um... you're welcome (ayumi bends over with a pain striken look on her face) AYUMI WHATS WRONG
AYU: unn... (straightens up but is still slightly bent )im sorry i've just been having pain lately and my body's been changing too everything seems so much louder and smell so much stronger
KAG:*so maybe she is a demon inuyasha would know for sure*(looks at the well shrine)ayumi come with me (grabs ayumi's arm)
AYU:wh-ahh(gets yanked by kagome and in to the the well)hey i need that arm
KAG:stay here i'll be right back(jumps down the well)
AYU:KAGOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(runs to the well)kagome were'd she go KAGOME
ABOUT 15 MINUTES LATER A NOISE COMES FROM THE WELL
AYU:(looks up)what was that KAGOME
KAG:Ayumi you still up there
AYU:YEA WHERE DID YOU GO
KAG:I WENT TO GO GET SOMEONE TO HELP YOU
AYU:FROM IN THE WELL WHO
INU:(jumps from out of the well with kagome on his back)me(he lands in front of ayumi)
AYU:(screams and slaps inuyasha leaving a green tinge to the hand print ) WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ARE THOSE DOG EARS
KAG:ayumi calm down this is inuyasha he's here to help you
INU:how'd you do that
AYU:what
INU:you posioned me when you slapped me
KAG:so i guess she's a demon
INU:duh(points to the slap mark)so what's your name
AYU:ayumi
INU:a*yumi? there's no way*
MOM:(calls from the house)KAGOME AYUMI COME IN PLEASE
LATER IN THE HOUSE AYUMI AND KAGOME ARE IN THEIR PAJAMAS AND BRUSHING THEIR TEETH THEY SPIT AND RINSE AS INUYASHA WALKS IN
INU:ready yet
AYU:ready for what
INU:we're gonna find out some stuff out about you
AYU:ok
THEY'RE IN KAGOME'S BEDROOM SITTING ON THE BED
KAG:can you tell what type of demon she is
INU:wolf and dragon unn...(holds the slap mark on his face its still green)
AYU:inuyasha i'm so sorry
INU:no big deal it will go away in a couple of days so...
AYU:oh just come here(she leans forward and puts her hand on the mark making inuyasha and kagome blush her hand glows blue-green then the mark disappears)
INU:its... its healed i thought you said you didn't know you were a demon
AYU:i didn't that's just something i've always been able to do that
KAG:well(looks at her alarm clock) it's late so let's get some sleep and in the morning we'll go through the well
AYU:through the... ok(inuyasha goes to the next room kagome lays down on her bed and ayumi lays down on the pallet and drifts off to sleep
AYU:*dream* birds are chirping it shows a tall demon (sesshomaru)with over shadowed eyes in a slightly different kimono walking with ayumi and a little girl that looks rin only with silver hair they're walking on a beautiful garden path way the little girl is chasing after a butterfly she runs in front of the couple and then falls ayumi runs over to her and then smiles at her.she then wakes up
THE NEXT MORNING IT SHOWS THE 3 WALKING TO THE WELL
KAG:here (hands her a shikon jewel shard) you may need this to get through
AYU:wow it's beautiful what is it
KAG:you'll find out soon(they jump down the well and it ends)
