   Haunting Past and a New Start - part #48
lol well I hope you all have nothing to do Today beccuse to makeup for my abssences I am putting up the mother of all posts!!! lol XD anyway - I hope you realy enjoy it!! ^_^ ~Lady Catra~.^ ( but please read it or I will be sad affter putting in all of this work T.T)

Chikane walked though the snow and saw two figures not to far away hurriying off into the little ti-pi hut in the centre of the village, one was a taller, muscular male with wild spiky blue hair that clearly had a mind of it's own, and the other was a beautifull young woman with short brown hair, big brown eyes, and a light frame. The man let lose a rather loud sneeze and begain to sniffle, he was clearly sick.

Chikane half yelling: Pardon me!

Chikane then ran over to the couple.

Unasi: oh Hello, are you new here?

Chikane: yes, I am the new village medic.

Unasi: oh wonderfull! ^_^ - then would you mind taking care of my husband? - I'm affraid he's come down with a cold.

Chikane: no, not at all. *thinking: gota earn my keep ^^;*

Unasi: great - oh by the way, I am Unasi Varsel and this sick person here is my husband Fertonon Varsel.

Chikane: I am Chikane.

Fertonon: I hate to inturupt your little chat ladies, but could we please get out of the snow? *sniff*

Unasi: oh, right! ^^; - Sorry babye I'll be back to chek on you later but for now there alot iv'e got to do. *kisses Fertonon on the cheek* bye! and please don't mind his temper Chikane - he's really quite nice! ^_^

Unasi then took off full speed out into the village and out of sight, leaving Fertonon and Chikane alone.

Fertonon: *sniff* great

Chikane: come on, my house is this way.

Chikane thinkng: well, the Hishicara did say that I would be a very busy as the vilage medic...^^;)

Chikane put her arm aroun Fertonon's waist as to asist him in walking to her home, he had beccome conciderbly weaker over a matter of minutes. Chikane could scense a deep stiring conflict within the bowls of his soul.

Fertonon: *not all that happy about his current situaition.*

They finialy reached Chikane's home, the powdery snowmen that had stood so poudly beffore now lay in ruin on the ground, shttered and broken. The two went inside and she bade him to sit down in the kitchen as there was not yet furniture in the livingroom.

Chikane: so, what seems to be on your mind?

Fertonon: Why do you ask?

Chikane: well one I'm just trying to be friendly with you, and more imorpantly I can't do my job if your like this, half your condiion is mental.

Fertonon: are you saying I am crazy?

Chikane: no, I'm saying that you have alot of troubles and things on your mind and you need to talk them out.

Fertonon smiled: alright then, but I am affraid that I do not quite feel comfortble descussing my personal matters with anyone I do not know very well.

Chikane: that makes scense ^_^ your wife is awfully trusting though isen't she?

This earned her a small chuckle from Fertonon.

Fertonon: yha...she's a bit tootrusing if you know what I mean, acctualy that a big part of my "problem" - but first lets hear about you.

Chikane: alright then, I just got here not minutes beffore that nasty storm begain and got my job and this house, I;m still no quite sure how this whole thing works. I am a half-wolf and I do have a pack. Other then a very rude gaurd, the Hishicara and some wierd guy named Nagira you and Unasi are the first Iv'e met in this strange place.

Fertonon: alright then, I am Fertonon Varsel; I have lived here all 26 years of my life, I have a wife and two children, I'm just a plain humman who can't use any fancy spells or nothing - nor do I want to beccuse Iv'e got my heavy long sword as protection. I am one of this villages warriors and defenders...

Chikane fellt his mood shift to somthing more desturbed.

Fertonon:...and me and my wife have a housekepper called Hyute who has lived with us for the last five years.

Chikane: I see, what seems tobe the matter with her?

Fertonon: well first I'll start at the begining when we first ran into that beast. One day I was sitting peacfully in my home when our village was invaded by raiders, now normaly this meant I got to have a decent rumble, but strangly enough not this time. The raiders where scared off by some sort of demon...

Chikane: so she was trying to protect the village?

Fertonon:...do you want me to tell you or not? Well anyway Unasi scared her off and then for some reason beyond me went to get her back and draged me along, (he realy went along willingly without any dragging). Then I caught my first glimpse of her, she had eyes that where the deepest shade of black, you could lose you-self in them...so we brought her home, time passed and she dragged me and Unasi out on a great and dangorus journy ( realy Hyute wanted to go alone but those two absaloutly inssisted on coming along).

Chikane: when you talk about her eyes it sounds like your in love.

Fertonon: hardly!!! - I can't stand her! She dragged me and Unasi way out into the middle of the dessert for crying out loud!

Chikane: realy?

Chikane thinking: now this I gotta hear.

Fertonon *cough* yes, first she dragged us out into the middle of the dessert, then she fainted on us from the heat and we where forced to rely on someother ravelers we met to help us get to the nearest city, we spent a few days there, then on the last day she wore sun-specticals and got realy pushy that we make the last part real fast. So us and this group of other travelers made our way into the heart of Denega Teritory.

Chikane: do these other Travelers have names?

Fertonon: yha, I remember a black-haired kid with a sword named E-bane, a brown haired kid named Netherien, a wierd kid with realy long neon red hair named Norda, and some cranky old chick with long blue hair named Nirion...

Chikane thinking: no way! he ran into that group?

Fertonon: anyway turns out there was a big underground temple there so we all went in, Hyute went affter and presumablykilled a dude named "Tenethis" but youv'e probly never heard of him, and we all got ambushed by like hundreds of these guys. Hyute told us to run and leave her, so we did and when she diden't return we though she was dead...but then a week later she just showed up in our kitchen already cleaning it, that's the first time I saw her with the blind fold...yha she's blind.

Chikane: humm...I still don't see why you harbor such a deep hatred for her.

Fertonon: I saw a glimpse of her true form one and beccuse...at that battle she was outnumbered 10,000 to 1 and she was already critialy injured by a gash in her left side - there is no way she could have made it back alive.
