J-Fashion
I'll try to make a post at least every month. lol. It's been over a month since I last posted something. Well, I'm gonna rant alittle about J-Fashion. lol. What really got me into J-Fashion was the Ganguro/Kogal style. Everything is just so cute and funky. I still love Gal style. It seems most people that are into J-Fashion are really into Harajuku Fashion, some J-Rock style, Cosplay and the sort. I'm actually much more into all the cute fashions. Decora, Sweet Lolita and some Gothic Lolita. "A fatal attraction to cuteness"- Gwen Stefani (from her "Harajuku Girls" song). Gwen also likes the cute J-Fashions. Japan always seems to be on top of fashion. There's so many fashion styles in Japan. Their traditional fashion is also lovely. J-Fashion is one of the many things that I love about the Japanese Culture.

Otaku
Being an Otaku is something that someone really takes pride in. This is a response to a comment I saw on youtube stating that being an Otaku is pathetic. Otaku's don't really sit at home and be a couch potato as the original definition states. We're very much into our obsessions and we actually do get up off our ass to make a Cosplay costume, to buy Anime, to go to Anime cons and to strut our own Japanese Fashion get-up. Yes, Otaku's watch excessive amounts of Anime and read a crap load of Manga, but that's part of being an Otaku and it's not like Otaku's spend hours at a time doing that. Well maybe some do, but it's not right to say that about all Otaku's.

Anime is not a Cartoon
I'm tired of people referring to Anime as a Cartoon. Yeah, so I'm just gonna rant and rave about this topic a little. lol. Anime and Cartoons are two different things. Anime refers to Japanese Animation while Cartoon refers to American Animation. To me, that's the biggest and most obvious difference between the two. Also, not only are there cultural differences between Anime and Cartoons (the whole Subbed/Dubbed Anime thing; Anime gets edited when it's dubbed into English so that it'll fit the American audience better) but the art style in Anime is much more exquisite than the art style in Cartoons. Alot of thought and care is put into making an Anime (especially when it comes to the actual Anime character; I always find Anime characters to be drawn so beautifully) and Japanese Animators don't hold back when they want to add in some strong content or random content. IMO, alot of Anime fans have a real appreciation for the art style of Anime as well as the content which is why alot of Anime websites I've come across, Anime fans usually perfer Subbed Anime.

Ok, I'm done ranting and raving. lol

   Anime Cons
Well, I haven't been to an Anime con in a while but I'm trying to go to a few cons towards the end of this year. I was also thinking about volunteering at an Anime con but I don't know how that's gonna work out because I've never volunteered at an Anime con before. Soon, I'm gonna be gearing up for Otakon 2008. Or at least trying too. Otakon is really expensive which is the reason I couldn't go this year. But as for right now, I'm more focused on upcoming cons in Oct.-Dec. as well as making a Cosplay costume that will hopefully be ready sometime early next year.
