Epiphany
Major Starwind her to ask, How many of you have heard of this? I say this to elaborate on a comment I made just a moment ago. Epiphany is a celebration here in the tarpon springs area of Florida. Tarpon springs in a big greeek community, Epiphany is the celebration ot the baptism of christ and what happens is, about 50 to 60 kids (all guys, no girls. sorry) get into these boats out in the bayou here. then the arch bishop for the easter orthodox church aka the greek church, comes out and throws a white cross into the water. As soon as he throws it all the guys jump off the boats and try to be the first to get it. If you get it first you get blessed for a whole year and are suppose to have good luck for the whole year. This year is the centenial, for those who don't know what taht means it's the 100 year anniversary. There is going to he 80,000 people in attendance. It has food, dancing, drinks and lots of stuff to do. It's gonna make up for the crappy new year I had this year.
