   AniZona
I actually had fun . . . A lot of fun. I'll be honest and say that this anime convention was the best three days of my life.

Got to buy some cool merchandise, spoke with some very friendly and diverse people, took great pictures of some great cosplayers, and got to see and meet Yaya Han and Yoshitaka Amano. Got Amano-sama's autograph too, which I sadly cherish. Never thought I'd appreciate this from a person I never really noticed before . . . Now, if only they could find Takahashi-sama and bring her down . . .

Might I add that the panels and events were quite fun as well? Yes yes. Open mic karaoke was actually more amusing than I thought it would be . . . I was tempted to sing something from Chobits, Inu-Yasha, or Ruro Ken, but refrained from embarassing myself.

It would be nice to meet and chat with people like that more often. I usually loathe socialization, but I actually was very happy to. I was amazed that when I first started talking to someone (other than, you know, "Can I take your pictures?"), anime wasn't the first thing that came out of their mouth. It was just chit chat, like about where they came from, family and friends . . . Great people, really.

   Meh.
Went to the Matsuri Festival here in Arizona last weekend on Saturday down at Heritage and Science Park. Got mainly Inu-Yasha merchandise, including a tote bag and wall scroll. Also got badges, buttons, and a few other such small things. Was saving to get a shinai or paper parasol, but I guess that idea went out the window as soon as I saw anime merchandise.

AniZona, Arizona's first anime convention, is being held March 25-27 and I have already registered to go under the same username I have here (and everywhere else really). Now, if only I had the money and time to put together a cosplay costume . . . I'll most likely just go in the costume kimono my mother's friend made himself. Very beautiful and comfortable, not cosplay, but I think it could do. One of my friends who plans to go with me nags me to wear it, so I guess I might as well.

Besides, the convention is over a period of three days and during my spring break. I'll just wear that one day, and perhaps throw together a make-shift Japanese school girl outfit some other day. (It will definately be a more gothic, demented school girl outfit, looking through my wardrobe . . .)

   I Won't Be Sleeping Tonight
Well, apart from seeing Rurouni Kenshin, Full Metal Alchemist, Inu-Yasha, and Cowboy Bebop . . .

My Inu-Yasha PS2 game has finally arrived in the mail. I'll be playing it all day and all night.

I agree with what many reviews said about the game; Not great for regular gamers, but pretty damn enjoyable for hardcore fans like myself.

   Wallpapers
I've actually started up my old website again and I plan to update it regularly:

http://www.geocities.com/ajikeni/index.html

I've added wallpapers there that wouldn't fit in here.

I need better programs though.

   Another Day
Listening to Antichrist Superstar right now. I am a huge fan of Marilyn Manson. No, I'm not a mindless "worshipper," I don't believe in that bull. I just admire him and love his music.

Life's treating me relatively well, a big change from the usual. Yes, I'm one of "those people" . . . Gloomy and angsty doesn't get close. And right now I'm in a particularly gloomy mood for whatever reason. Usually I'd be in a violent, aggressive mood . . .

I plan on making more anime wallpapers later, to just use my creativity on something someone somewhere can appreciate. And to repent for my sins, I am going to finally watch Spirited Away today. Forgive me dear Miyazaki-sama for not having the money or time to have gone out and buy your latest masterpiece . . .

(Just so you all get to know me better: Though Miyazaki is high up on my favorites list, there is one who I admire over him . . . Rumiko Takahashi, author of Inu-Yasha, Ranma 1/2, and the Mermaid Saga to name a few . . .

. . . Oh, and also, Clamp was pretty high up until they put out the disgracing Miyuki-chan in Wonderland . . . We should take every copy of that and burn it . . .)
