My Laughing Cure
It's the joke on the breeze that wispers these soft thoughts.
That sudden surge of giggles I seem to get a lot.
It represents to me, the laughter that I see in all of everything
And all the joy that it can bring:
To those who carry burdens,
To those who hide their truths,
To those who wish for a desperate escape,
And to those who seek out youth.
This humor, I know, seems wasted,
It cannot cure, when nothing can be done.
But I do know my heart beats steadier,
With what I have begun.
Forget your attitude demure.
Sometimes it's better out of place.
So laugh your frickin' ass off,
And smile wide with grace.
