well, my day started our pretty normal...
drove my two younger siblings to school.
went to sheetz's for gas and coffee...
a voice behind me said "hey, aleia, what are you going to buy me in here?"
it was christian (a kid from my class)
=P
we talked some...it was cool. ^_^
went for tutoring.
stayed from 9:00 till 12:30.
went off, got some MTO subs (from sheetz's: made to order)
then, started off my merry way home (i used the back roads...its shorter)
then, up ahead, i saw a penndot truck stop.
so, i stopped.
i figured they saw a deer, and thats why they had stopped....
all of a sudden, the truck started to back up...
my mind froze....i was scrambling to put the car into reverse...
i didn't make it.
the truck had all these metal things hanging off the back...
the truck pushed me back a few feet.
i went into a sort of state of shock...
four guys came out of the truck.
they told me (nicely) to back up into the side of the road.
when i turned off the engine, i pulled the little lever to pop the hood...
it didnt work.
we had to kinda pry it off.
i went outside to look...
the truck smashed the radiator.
ruined the light (almost popped the whole right light unit out!)
there was a hissing...
the airconditioning thing-a-majiger was broke (it was leaking something yellow)
it totally broke off the plastic front where the radiator grill thingy was behind...
i had to sit down in the car (my heart was going awful fast, my knees were rubbery...i couldnt stand 0.0 )
while the penndot guys called the police.
waited 50 minutes.
he finally came, assessed damage.
geez...i was still in shock, even after an hour later X_+ (my heart was still beating like crazy, i still felt like i was going to hyperventilate!!)
turns out, the guys didnt see me, they didnt know i was behind them.
they were supposed to clean up; logger trucks had drug out loads of mud onto the road..
the penndot guys were really nice ^_^
sigh..
i honestly hope insurance pays for this.....
(is still worried sick)
i got a headache.... >_<
