This is a story I'm writing. If you wish to read more, simply sign my guest book and I'll private message you more.

The beginning
I jumped up on my feet, something I did whenever I woke up in the middle of the night. I ran turned towards the bars, hoping they wouldn’t be there. They were. I turned back to the three solid walls. I sank to my knees, tears streaming down my dirty cheeks. The window above me was barred, with glass behind the bars. I stared up at the bright, wonderful full moon. I always stared at it, just as I always woke up at this time, as if on command. I couldn’t see the other three kids, but I knew they were there. They talked to me. We would talk, outstretch our hands, wave, but we never saw each other. We took separate tests. We took separate baths. We took separate everything. I stared up at the moon.
If it could see, the moon would see how hideous I had become. My feet were long, and almost paw like. I walked on my toes, like a cat. My toes were strange, curved and clawed, and my feet were hairy. From my knees down, my legs were covered in a thin layer of golden brown fur. You couldn’t see that under my long light brown pants. They were too big for me, drooping low. Ropes twisted around them, so they wouldn’t fall down. A lion’s tail twitched back and forth behind me. My stomach was furry, with the same fur. I wore a shredded black tank top, one that revealed my stomach as well as my arms. It also had ropes wound around it. Two large snowy white wings protruded from my shoulder blades. My arms from my elbows down were furry, with, you guessed it, a thin layer of golden brown fur. My hands were still useful, but they were looking more like paws. I had retractable claws. My hair zigzagged out in every direction. I was blonde, and still was, although it had been turning brownish. In some spots, it was already a dark brown. Two lionish ears stuck out of the wild mess that composed my mane. They were still slightly human. My eyes were slanty and bright green, with black slits for pupils. My nose was flat and large, with a furry bridge and black nostrils. My cheeks were also slightly furry. My canines were long and sharp. I stared up at the moon with my green eyes. I saw a shooting star go right past it. I made a wish.

It would please me much if you would critique it so far. It gets better, you know...:D
