'A singing hobo has eaten all your yams?'
Movie= much goodness. I loved it, the film style was dark, but it really helped set mood for the movie.
[Ha! Not using proper english terms, take that! Try to teach me something..]
I know people have said that Sirius wasn't what they expected [Juu! *points], but I think Gary Oldman did an excellent job.
I mean, I know we all have a romanticised view of Sirius being tall, dark and handsome [Guilty as charged], but the movie really showed him as he is.
Heh, Sirius is crazy. Oldman was dirty and well...hobo-looking, but he looked like a man who had been locked up in a sub-zero prison that sucks all the happiness out of you.
So there, nyeh. I like Oldman as Sirius.
I picked up on a few things that were put into the movie that weren't in the book [mm..foreshadowing], not the obvious stuff like Hermioney grabbing Ron's hand, but little character changes.
I mean, did anyone notice that Percy [when barging through the students and saying 'I'm head boy'] looked rather greasy?
I thought it was a nice touch, revealing the start of his bad character.
Another thing too, when Draco asks Harry if it was true that he fainted on the train, he looks honestly perplexed, until his friends take an interest.
And he whispers the question, unlike in the book where he shouts it.
Actually, I thought Tom Felton and his Slytherin crew did a great job in this one, they were so much more developed as characters than in the last one.
^_^
*cough*
Enough of the movie reviewing.
One of the more funny things was before the movie even started. Now BCC have this thing here where they have these advertisements for local businesses before the movie starts, and they're always dark and blurry.
Owing to the movie theatre being so packed [I haven't been in a line that long since Lion King was released], we were sitting fifth row from the front.
In front of us were two guys about my age [decked out in D12 gear, surprising how many Eminem fans like HP].
As I was saying, stupid dark advertisements.
What happens after that?
Bright, bright blue screen with 'this preview has been classified as PG'
Mm...blinding..
What do the guys in front say?
'AAH! MY BRAIN!'
lol
Classic.
^_^
