'Writer' is one letter away from 'waiter' [Malika]

My computer is an oblong goldfish. Yes, but how does it smell? Badly.

*primal cry of anguish*

I decided on an online journal because I could work on it while online, and could do fancy things with it that would help me remember what I was like way back when.

What do I get? [Aside from great input from friends] A journal that vanishes because my computer is a goldfish, I mean, stupid.

*sigh*

So yesterday I didn't get any work done on Loaded, which obviously doesn't surprise anyone.

My brother sat on the computer most of the day, playing Morrowind. Once or twice he got off to 'help' with the cleaning. Basically he sat in his room and wiped his bedroom walls with a damp cloth for half an hour, and then he got back on the computer.

Least I got some reading done I guess..

The driving lesson was interesting. I have 85% mastered first gear, and can get the car moving without any hassle, unless I do it wrong, lol.

The interesting thing is, I have mastered the ability to reverse parallel park.

I have a one in six chance of jerking the car forward and stalling it, but I can reverse parallel park better than my parents.

lol

I can also manage hill starts now, without rolling back.

Yay for the handbrake man!

[Thats me]

Interesting things happened though, I was almost rear-ended by an idiot in a Toyota ute that was sitting on my tail, because of a Citroen van parked across the lane.

Okay, you see a small Citroen van pulling off the road into a sidestreet, no problem. You take your foot off the accelerator and slow down as you can't switch lanes, owing to the traffic in the second lane.

He'll be gone before you get there.

Right?

Wrong. Nothing that smooth happens in 'Learners World.' lol.

The van is half blocking the lane now, so I brake to slow down, I didn't even think to realise that I wasn't speeding up, he was slowing down.

Parked, in fact.

He had stopped to let pedestrians pass, that weren't crossing the road when he got there [a big no no, seeing as to do this, he was blocking a lane of busy traffic].

How do I know they weren't crossing the road? When I slammed on the brakes and clutch, I could see them casually walking to the van to talk to the driver.

*sigh*

I'm just grateful I didn't hit anyone, or was hit by anyone.

Next lesson I'm apparently driving down the range.

o.O;;;

Eep.

The 1500cc Mitsubishi Lancer does not like going up hills, hopefully it won't mind going down them.

I love disc brakes.

x.X;;

Well, now that you've seen the dramas in my life, might as well see the highlights of it.

Mmm, goin' to see Shrek 2 at 14:30.

^_^

Now that my brother is otherwise engaged, after my chores I might actually get some work done.

[I know I say it everyday, shut up. I enjoy denial, Egypt is lovely this time of the year.]
