Wow, and double Wow
I'm sitting on a C10 for english, so obviously my last assignment didn't go down well. From being on a B10 at the first semester, a C10 for second isn't good.
But hey, that isn't the wow part.
^_____^
Jess came down to the front lawns after tottering off to see Mr Waters about our Chem exam marks.
It turns out she'd asked for mine as well. To put it bluntly, she says, 'oh yeah Liam, I asked for your marks as well, guess what?'
I groaned inwardly thinking of the consequences of that statement, but I said, 'what?'
'You got straight A's on the exam!'
I kinda fell sideways, quite a feat for sitting down with my head over my shoulder and talking to her.
'You're not serious!'
'You're like one of seven people in the grade that did.'
'...you are serious.'
So yeah my mood equates to:
Chem marks - English marks= ^_____________^
Oh yeah, before I forget, my precious, precious Loaded is just under 15000 words.
^_^
I forced Mum to read it last night about 7ish and she said 'do I have to?' so I told her to read it as long as it took me to do the dishes.
I did the dishes, she was still reading, I asked if I could get on and do some more on it and she basically told me to buzz off because it was getting interesting.
lol
I was about to grumble, and then I realised that my mother, avid fan of all literature who first forced me to read Matthew Reilly (Ice Station) and other awesome books, she was actually insisting to reading mine.
So I went off and watched TV with Dad in the other room, and I could still hear her reactions to what she was reading. You know, little sharp intakes of breath etc.
She finished reading it and wandered off to bed about 8:30/9sih
I called over my shoulder as she passed, 'so, what's you thoughts?'
'Very good. Cool idea. Sleep now..'
lol.
I've decided that if and when I get it published I'm going to have this on my acknowledgements page;
'To my mother, who if it had not been for, I could not have bragged about my book and said in a defensive tone; "But my mum thinks it's cool".'
^_^
