'So many stupid people, not enough bullets in a clip'
You know what's absolutely beautiful? Aside from my strikingly good looks [*strike!*] of course.
Finishing 12 years of formal compulsory Queensland education. I've just completed my last exam and it was good.
What makes it absolutely beautiful is the fact that I now have seven days off before I have to go back for housekeeping stuff.
7 days, I hear you cry.
Try 7 days filled with Halo 2
I invested 1 1/2 hours of Physics study in playing it, and it was the best investment of Physics time in the history of the world.
For those of you interested in playing for yourself, skip a couple paragraphs for your inner gamer's sake. I'm sick to death of reading Gabe just whinge and whinge about Halo, good on him, he's made his point. Just shut up.
Bungie has gone from the simplicity of the original Halo to all this complex stuff that is irritating at first, of course, but so rewarding when you start getting interested.
For instance, the entire original Halo consisted of point A to point B, with brief stops and etc. The interesting point here is that Halo 2 is exactly the same in that regard, but there are so many roses on the way to stop and sniff.
For instance, you can go up to a Marine who's holding a rocket, press X, and you swap weapons with him. The funny thing is, I swapped a Battle Rifle for it with him, and he says 'Oh man, come onnnn...'
lol
Nice. When you swap a sniper for a rifle, however, they say something along the lines of 'Hey man, I'm not complaining...'
lets not forget, leaping off a bridge onto the back of a giant walking alien robot thing zapper shooty shiny...running out of adjectives...
It has issues, for instance, the sound is crap unless you have a good TV/or if it's loud. When the volume is down low, it's really quite tinny.
The graphics are pretty sweet, however. The gameplay is a helluva lot more intense. Halo will still be played at LAN's, however.
I have a staff meeting, so I suppose I should get ready to have a shower.
*waves*
EDIT: It's funny, because we got Halo 2 first
Oo! Just found this:
