I recieved my Report Card today, and I saw a really stupid movie on TV, but more on that later
I did, I got it today. Some things I'm proud of, some things I'm not. Really, I'm kicking myself over the whole English thing.
And to think, writing literature and otherwise was something I was proud of, and now I've discovered that it's my undoing.
I can't write academically. I'm too descriptive, and for the love of me, I can't find the line between 'Narrative Descriptive' and 'Academic.'
Ah well.
The stuff in the square brackets are my thoughts as I read it, I haven't included all my thoughts, obviously, but just some ones that stuck out the most.
Here it is;
Religion and Ethics: B+
Classroom Behaviour: Excellent Attitude to Subject: Very Good Application to Study: Very Good Homework: Very Good
Liam has participated well throughout the semester and has a good understanding of the issues studied. He displays a mature approach, has taken an active part in discussions and shows respect for others and their values.
Mr John McAtomney

Ancient History: B2
Classroom Behaviour: Very Good Attitude to Subject: Very Good Application to Study: Good Homework: Good
Liam has completed an encouraging semester’s work in this subject. He has performed at a high level on most assessment items. He gives evidence of wider reading and readily contributes to class discussion. My concern is that in responses requiring extended writing Liam does not develop his responses in sufficient detail or tabulate supporting evidence in a compelling fashion. It is a skill to which he should give some attention in 2004.
Mr Owen Wheatley

Art: B2
Classroom Behaviour: Very Good Attitude to Subject: Good Application to Study: Good Homework: Good
Liam is a conscientious student who has worked consistently this semester. He has developed a range of skills in a variety of areas and should continue to improve as he gains experience and confidence in his own ability. Much of his work is conceptually based and supported in his visual diary. He has produced some theoretical and practical work which reflects a high level of skill and always strives to complete tasks to a resolved standard.

Chemistry: B6 [Sice when was Chem my highest grading subject?]
Classroom Behaviour: Very Good Attitude to Subject: Very Good Application to Study: Very Good Homework: Good
I have been very impressed by Liam’s positive approach to the subject this semester. He has gained very sound marks in the two most difficult topics. If he can apply himself in a similar manner during the coming academic year, he should gain a very creditable grade. [Great, I shall like to point out sir, that the only reason why I'm doing so well is because you're an awesome teacher, and you're not going to be here next year]
Mr Robert Waters

English: C10
Classroom Behaviour: Very Good Attitude to Subject: Good Application to Study: Very Good Homework: Good
This has been quite a disappointing semester [Hey, don't look down your nose at me, I'm hurting more than you are] in English for Liam. His Collage Drama was excellent, but his written pieces did not reflect depth of understanding or analysis.

Mathematics B: C7
Classroom Behaviour: Very Good Attitude to Subject: Good Application to Study: Satisfactory Homework: Satisfactory
Liam has demonstrated a satisfactory understanding of the knowledge and procedures taught and has experienced some success in applying these to problem solving situations. He has shown an improvement this semester in his effort and approach to this subject. Liam is capable of improving further and is encouraged to be more determined with his studies by completing more routine learning work and revising more often.[I should study more, I should, why do I keep on putting it off?]
Mr Anthony Simmers

Physics: C2 [*proceeds to do a victory dance* HA! I PASSED! ...wait, that means I did well in the exam o.O;;]
Classroom Behaviour: Excellent Attitude to Subject: Very Good Application to Study: Satisfactory Homework: Good
Cameron’s [Please, it's been how long and you've verbally abused me how many times, and yet you still believe my last name to be my first?] weakness in this subject is his performance in the Knowledge section of formal tests. It has been limited this semester. If he wishes to secure this sound result, he must prepare more thoroughly for tests. He participates well and works with interest in class.
Mrs Gay Ellyett

CLP Teacher Comment
Liam is a valued class member who has involved himself in a wide range of College activities. Always well groomed [Hee..she thinks I'm hot. lol]and respectful, Liam has been impressive as a Level One student. His academic interests have been challenged with his participation in the Maths, Science and English competitions. In the cultural sphere, Liam has been impressive with his willing participation in the Male Choir and College Choir. Finally, Liam is to be commended for his active involvement in the Harlaxton community service project. He should enjoy the challenges of Year 12.[Enjoy? Of course! I laugh in the face of challenges! Hahahaha!]
Mrs Sue Hurley
Behaviour Management Level: 1 - Outstanding [Hee...Outstanding *glee*]

So yeah. There it is. ^_^;
I've really, really, really, got to learn how to write from an analytical point of view, as well as how to write Academically. Mum says she'll help me, so that's cool.
[I can't believe I just said,'so that's cool]
[...why am I still typing my thoughts? ...o.O; ACK! Must stop..]
Anyhow, movie.
Yes, movie.
It was stupid, really, really stupid.
It was a Vin Diesel one, 'Pitch Black.' And, as always, I was suckered in by the little ads they played for it. I watched it, and was instantly annoyed by the stupid cinematography they used.
Argh! I be havin' too much of this stupid washed out blue/monochrome colour scheme!
Yeah, everyone died, including the girl that was supposedly the hero. Right up until the end she survived all odds, embraced Vin Diesel, and then she was ripped away from him by some of those weird flying giant bug things.
I mean seriously, what the hell?
No..too tired...I refuse to continue to rant about the stupidity of that movie.
I'll just gracefully retreat...now.
EDIT: I almost forgot!
I picked up my learners thingy for the exam [all the road rules etc], and it is huge. I'm serious, it is.
x.X;
